Why not consider the exchange rate?  How many people get paid in BTC?  Most BUY it with their local currency, and if they earn BTC they SELL it.  Until my employer pays me in BTC and I can spend said BTC at my local grocery store, I will always consider the exchange rate.

9  Bitcoin / Mining support / "bad pool header" bsod on: September 05, 2013, 05:06:47 AM
When starting bfgminer or cgminer.  Guiminer seems to work fine, except my graphics card apparently won't even do one megahash now...

Came to check on my computer and bfgminer had crashed.  Tried to restart it and would get the bsod.  Even without my block erupters plugged in.

Updated drivers, running virus scans, and a chkdsk is scheduled for next restart.

Any other suggestions?

My miner seems to have not been working all day, and I can't get on the site either.

Same issue here.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: DeepBit pool thread for newbies on: November 18, 2012, 08:06:38 PM
Started out at 126MH/s with no flags and stock clocks.  Increased core by 80Mhz increasing it to 140MH/s, at the same time I lowered my memory clock as far as I could to try and keep the temperature in check.  I believe it's sitting around 70C, depending on the temperature in the room.

Added flags "-v -w 128" raising it to 142MH/s.

I'm sure I could overclock a little more, but I wanted to try everything else possible first to try and avoid as much heat as possible.

Got a new 140mm coming in the mail to fill the empty spot on the side of my case.  We'll see what that does, if anything.

Thanks for the reply!

Running DeepBit with a GTX 560ti 448 with flags -v -w 128 in GuiMiner and getting 142MH/s.

Any suggestions besides "Get better hardware"?
