21  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Big scam at Waves Decentralized Exchange platform on: August 06, 2017, 03:15:38 PM
He wanted to pull the egg out of the boiling water. Arm hurts. Who is to blame? Water or fire?

Do you have anything to add or are you just another ICO spamming loser with one liners.
22  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Big scam at Waves Decentralized Exchange platform on: August 06, 2017, 03:06:56 PM
Let's not make excuses for owners who run financial tools in the millions and don't have the most basic things worked out. This is another project that has the makings of a DAO. Too many bugs and the obvious little things are not worked out.  I searched and there are hundreds of posts saying the that they have the Error and that they didn't know you need waves to trade and that you can't buy waves even if you have a balance. Most people would not except something as stupid from a trading site, but even after people acquire the waves they still have the error because now the next bug is is in play, the 1+ purchase rule.
So even if want to buy ethereum I have to spend at least $250. God forbid I want to buy a bitcoin, then I need $3000, this makes any deposit just a victim to your fees and the insecurity of the platform, a big waste of time and a nice fee over to shit site.
23  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Big scam at Waves Decentralized Exchange platform on: August 05, 2017, 02:48:55 PM
Perhaps not an outright scam but definitely a garbage site where you will lose out.

Waves is a broken and misleading platform.  At first glance you think there was some brains here to pull this off but the end user experience is a disgraceful disaster bordering on a scam.

Scam #1 ,, you deposit BTC and you can't do anything, the platform suggest you got to faucet or a forum and beg for waves so you can make your first trade. you can't buy waves with your BTC because to buy waves you need waves.  bad start for a trader sending them to a facuet or forum.

Scam # 2 ,, no contact or support, they want you to post publicly about your problems on their forum with your address , what a dumb idea there goes privacy, one of the reason for using decentralized options is privacy. Second its a censored and moderated platform they control so you if you have a problem the public will never see it as they control this medium.

Scam # 3..  A BTC fee of .001 for a gateway fee..  Excuse me but after depositing BTC here and losing a percentage and then losing more of the scam waves token now I have to pay a gateway fee for using a blockchain to witdraw it and that equals almost $4 CDN . I pay that for 2 weeks of trading at a real site.

Scam $4 .. After being overcharged to buy the scam wave token the site still does not work and gives the error "Order not created"  ..  Now BTC is stuck, waves token is worthless and they suggest I go to a forum to talk about it.

The idea is pretty good but given how poorly #1 works you have to question the idiots behind this site.

Everything else is a dumb, untested, poorly designed and the warning signs are there for a disaster.

the reason I'm asking is because 9.7 keeps on locking up .. I was hoping someone might know if the older version were any better.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.7 (Windows/Linux) on: July 11, 2017, 04:53:59 PM
Does anyone know what the best version is for 7950 and 7970 cards?  Linux

Mine Zcash.

Mining ether on those cards is useless now.

Thanks but I'm not mining, I'm selling and just looking to burn a few cards in ..

What is Zcash compared to Ether in mining ?  Is it more profitable or any other reason ?

Does anyone have contact info for cryptobullionpools.com ?

I've been folding for them for a while with no updates and they seem to make it impossible to contact them.

Its gotta be one of the worst outfits I've ever seen.  First they use clear captcha that make it very hard to login, like click all the cars and signs and trees in this picture and then it just gives you another picture but even worse they say we want to make it easy for you to contact us so they do that be removing all contact information and using some 3rd party service you have to sign up to and create an account just to contact them.  Sounds like someone over there needs a firing or some common sense.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recent market dump and pump on: June 28, 2017, 12:09:44 AM
Can someone explain why if I look at any coins chart the 24hr graph looks almost identical.

Meaning that all coins across the entire market during the recent dump are being dumped at roughly the same % and again now with price and cap rising again same % going back in.

Is this the case?  Money is removed from every coin at same % into fiat then put back in same % from fiat?

This is probably not the answer you expect but all trading is a scam, not just in crypto but the regular markets too. Crypto is moving because large funds are trading it. These coins were great when they were
traded by people who had a use for it but after gaining popularity and becoming regulated the big hedge funds and whale traders took over. Whatever you see now is just trading and has no relevance to actual market conditions. Ethereum launches some new shit product and the value goes up 50x in a couple of months. That should tell you there isn't anything real behind it.  Making sense of all the coins is hard because like the other guy said there are holdings in the same coin but also its all traded by the same people. After you rake in a big trade it doesn't look so bad to buy other shit coins and prop up the market, but if you noticed only the popular traded coins chosen as winners are following the same paths. Same thing in the real market, the winners are always riding together.

I have a strange card and maybe someone can help or is familiar with a 0.00mhs hashing card.

I isolated a troubled 7970 and moved it to a separate computer. It runs windows ans linux fine, I just watched a 2hr movie and rendered some 3D scenes.  However when start up the 7970 it mines at 0.00mhs
and keeps on going forever at 0.00.  Has anyone had this happen before ?  It was hanging up in a rack of 5 and causing claymores to crash but alone it doesn't even produce a hash yet it runs and keeps on running getting the requests and works a regular video card. I have already tried several flashes all with the same result.

31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Steemit.com: Blogging is the new Mining on: April 25, 2017, 01:18:28 AM
This project is such great. Good people and community very strong. We maybe one day will make our own STEEM island - we no longer have need for centralized bank service or any slave work. we now can post and have attention economy global decentralization from the worthless likebutton that enslaves all human kind to our STEEM backed upvote!!!!!!

That sounds cheery but how does a central bank and island fit in with steem ? If that was the goal for steem they would not have launched the way they did. This sounds like more bullshit and dreaming to me.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Steemit.com: Blogging is the new Mining on: April 24, 2017, 06:04:06 PM
The things I didn't like about steem aside from the shady launch was the comparison to facebook and other social media sites. Steem has little in common with those sites and how they make money.  Many of you may not be aware that facebook is closer to a CIA service than a social media platform This should have been apparent from its launch to sudden popularity amongst young people then the subsequent going public then they're deep involvement in business to now deep involvement in news and politics. Unfortunately this is where the money comes from. It isn't because facebook is doing something good. The top US players are rarely on top because of a good product or service, almost all like facebook, amazon, tweeter are handled at the by the intelligence agencies across the US.  How can steem possibly fit in ?  They can't grow or even survive without a steady source of cash coming in and the coin alone isn't going to that.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Steemit.com: Blogging is the new Mining on: April 23, 2017, 02:39:56 PM
Of course you won't reply. because you can't.  you made no argument and drawing a chart on your own isn't going the be the reason for a price increase but nice try.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Steemit.com: Blogging is the new Mining on: April 22, 2017, 03:08:11 PM
smooth

I'm neither working on Steem (Steemit Inc does the development; I don't work for them) nor pumping. I answer questions about it occasionally.

Is there some reason you have that correct information being available is bad?

The same holds true for me
I am a independent user of cryptocurrencies and analyst, I am working for nobody!
The reason why steem is rising is because this coin has reached the bottom after a long journey down.
This is not a classic pump of another shitcoin.
The people will realise very soon that the down trend is final over.

Lisk was also at the bottom and I drew timely a chart of it:
https://www.tradingview.com/chart/LSKBTC/glgb4Ted-Lisk-breakout-from-the-down-trendline-LONG/

I am not here to spread Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt to buy cheap coins if I missed the bottom.
The crypto community must stick together.
I see a huge chance with Steem (decentralized and independent social media) to make the world to a better and fairer place for everybody.

best wishes,
your Altcoinanalytics!

What do you think, how will the price for steem behave in the near future?

It should rise by a factor of ~4 to 16 in USD this year
(1 - 4dollar this year)

best wishes

A person who pumps altcoins on twitter is probably the last one to take financial advice from. But I do love the optimism.  Why not explain the reasoning behind this 100000% price increase.
35  Economy / Computer hardware / DDR2 Desktop Memory 2GB on: April 19, 2017, 05:59:57 PM
I have a bunch of 2GB DDR2 dimms for desktops.  I have a few singles and some matched pairs as well.

I'll sell a matched pair for $30 CAD + shipping

I have a few 4gb DDR3 as well but I'm not sure what those are going for right now. I see $35 on newegg for some cheap brands.

Canada only, sorry Americans your prices are generally 50% cheaper anyway
36  Economy / Computer hardware / Any demand for a 486 DX Laptop IBM thinkpad 701c on: April 19, 2017, 05:40:57 PM
I have an old 701c that I've been storing for ages. It has the butterfly tab and the battery even works.  The keyboard is mint and looks like it was never used. I've had it for close to 15 years.

Any interest in this here ??  They seem to go on ebay for ridiculous prices and often sell for $200-$400 depending on condition.

This coin is a piece of shit and I don't think any good will come out of it.  Of course you can listen to the promoters who are hoping it will because they are holding bags of it. Like they said at $2.00 now is a time to buy. I think they mean .0002
38  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 2 Sapphire AMD 7950 3gb video cards on: April 19, 2017, 05:28:16 PM

Steem should have paid and aligned itself with proper traders and fraud promoters who can take the price up like ethereum.  This could truly be the coin that hits zero. One things is certain the loser larimers are laughing to the bank.
