1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any pvp betting game? on: April 04, 2018, 11:57:19 PM
I would say that if the game is not based on luck and purely skill, it won't really be a good gambling game as it would result to really good players or experienced ones to be at an advantage and those inexperienced newbies or lesser skilled players to be in a great disadvantage. Take for example, the game of chess. It can't be a gambling game, since what if grand masters play on the game and beat every player there is. Then that means they will take in all the money of everyone.

Let's talk about poker. It is a skill based game, however it still greatly relies on luck of drawing the cards. Yes you can have a probability calculations whether your hand has a great chance of winning, but it will still depend on the draw of the cards if you win or lose. So it is still different from a purely skill based game.
2  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Merit Cycling on: April 04, 2018, 11:49:21 PM
Pretty interesting how people are using this system. I don't like it though, since it seems like this forum has turned into the other forums I hate where people keep on asking for "likes" and "+reps". Seems like that is the case now.
It is not the same. People in other forums continually beg and try to ask for votes, likes and reps without anyone really preventing them or the community going against it. Usually it is greatly tolerated in those forums.

From what I've seen around here, it is extremely different because of another factor which is he trust rating system. In case anyone is cause selling, trading, begging or abusing the merit system, the forum community can go against those people by leaving a trust feedback. The best thing to prevent its abuse is when DT members get in the action and leave a proper red trust on those abusers. Like what I've said in a previous post, even if a user has a billion merit points but was tagged red because he was begging, trading or buying merit then it doesn't matter.

I personally dislike the votes, likes and reps system on other forums, but the merit system in addition to the trust rating system will be great in the long run, in my opinion.
3  Other / Meta / Re: best solution to reduce spam in the forum on: April 04, 2018, 10:44:58 PM

yep  u made a good point
but  the merit system is also getting abused
people are  begging  for merit ( directly or indirectly )  like in other forum ppl are asking for up votes  and likes

that mean its the way ppl use those system  that define if it will be a bless or just another pain in the ass

True, but unlike in other forums the direct or indirect asking for up votes, likes and +reps are tolerated and is not frowned up. In our case here on the forum, there are DT members that can place a tag on you for doing so. Effectively ruining your account even if you have shit tons of merit. If you have a red trust rating with a billion merit, it will not matter since you were already tagged as someone who openly begs for merit.

That is not the case in other forums. You can beg as much as you want for votes, likes and +reps but no one will take action against you unless it would be from the mods or admins. In this forum, the community itself can do it even without the intervention of the mods and admins.
4  Other / Meta / Re: Scams vs Spam on: April 04, 2018, 10:36:24 PM
It's not that there is no one preventing scams anymore it's more of the central topic of the forum right now is fighting spam. It is just the current trend. Of course preventing scams are still top priority, but right now people are just really hyped up about the new system that has somewhat effectively curtailed the entry of spammers in terms of stopping the account farmers to easily create new accounts and level them up.

About the ICOs, well that's another thing. Usually, most of the ICOs look legit on paper or on its face, and no one can really produce evidence that would cause people to turn those away. Usually the forum fights scams if there is proof of such, but there are ICOs that turn into a huge scam when from the onset they have perfectly executed their plan.

As an investor you should really be diligent in your investing. You can't really be investing in every ICO that comes up, can you? There are a lot of ICO that seems rubbish from the start anyway, and if you carefully scan them you will clearly see that there are only a few of them that you should consider. Sometimes it is just a matter of the gullible being tricked because there were already a lot of signs that it should have been avoided but ignored and not because the forum was not vigilant.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse on: April 04, 2018, 10:15:45 PM
Manny is too old to fight. Don't get me wrong, I love Manny, but he should be retiring and not fighting anymore. He doesn't have it anymore, too much luxury, joining politics, church stuff, etc. He is too preoccupied to even be fighting anyone. He doesn't even train as hard before a fight like he did back then. This will be a clear win for Matthysse, but gambling wise, we'll have to see the odds.

Well Matthysse is 35 yrs old now and Pacquaio is 39 so I think it's not a big deal after all.

Matthysse is a heavy puncher? What about Pacquaio? - Soft puncher?

Matthysse gave a hard fight on his peak? What about Pacquaio? - Hmm so the Pound for Pound king is a joke?

Matthysse is an aggressive fighter? Is that the main course of Pacquaio? - Smiley

Manny is old? Oh so old that he make young and prime Jeff Horn looks like a punching bag.

Stats don't lie but in general , the verdict will happened on the ring on the day of the event. Goodluck to all.

That may be true, but seriously, if he is still holding that Pound for pound king title, he should really be stripped of it. He hasn't knocked out anybody for years now. He has not had a good fight in ages as well. He may still have the quickness and the sharpness to fight, but the problem is the guy is totally pre-occupied! He's even a senator for christ sake! Aren't they supposed to be working all year round? Not only that, he does so much other things aside from boxing that he doesn't train as well as he used to!

The fact is, he doesn't have that hunger he had before. When he was hungry for a victory just to feed himself. Fame and fortune has gotten way into his head and it is showing.

You get it wrong. I don't say that he is still holds the Pound for Pound king today. Im comparing that on the peak days of Matthyse as others say that this boxer gaves hard fight during his peak so how about Pacman during the peak?

At first Im disagree at his desires but you can't see the positive side if you are only looking at the cover. Didn't you know that despite of his busy schedule he is one of the working Senators? And no, it's not about KNOCKING OUT but the outcome he is giving to his opponent. Look at young Jeff Horn's status after the fight with the old Pacman.

And to those people who keeps saying that he must resigned now to boxing, it doesn't making sense. Whatever Pacquaio's decision is none of our business. "We will never understand him because are we a boxer itself?" It's hard to left your passion that raised you on being poor since his childhood days. Those who resigned at boxing are showing bad signs already at their body unlike Pacquiao that thinks he still can. He will stop if he knows he can't fight anymore.

Well said. Thumbsup. Hope this will clears now. And if anyone didn't know, there are still offers for Pacquiao recently to fight Terrence Crawford prior to this Matthysee fight. Imagine how come he can still be a great picks from youngsters? And to add for that, Manny Pacquaio already answered lots of times about a question if when he will hang his gloves. His response, he still can fight and that's it. No more questions.

He have lots of money, lots of businesses, lots of investments, already a boxer hall of famer, achieved lots of records etc. Now what you guys think why he is still fighting up to today? The answer is above and it was clearly nailed.

Believe me when I say this, I am a fan of Pacquiao and I would support him. But the fact of it is that he doesn't do what he used to do back then. He doesn't train like he used to nor has the drive to prepare mentally and physically like before.

He is too pre-occupied in things like being a Senator. I know he is a working Senator mind you and that is exactly the problem with it. He does not have the time to spend for training anymore because he has commitments with other things.

The reason why new commers or youngsters want a shot at Manny is basically for fame and fortune. Think about it, if you were a new rising star boxer would you want to fight someone that is at the same level with potential of improving your ranking or get a shot at fighting a someone like Manny who has difficulties finding time to train but has super star status and will garner you shit tons of money? I think that's a clear and easy choice.

For sure he has that passion, but again, he does not have the time for it anymore. Usually back then when he was only concentrating on boxing he trains all year round and has a heavy training camp 4 to 6 months before a fight. But now, he can't train all year round because of what he is doing and the only time he can get off his work as a Senator is just about 3 months before a fight. This is also true back when he was just a Congressman.
6  Other / Meta / Re: best solution to reduce spam in the forum on: April 04, 2018, 09:58:58 PM
so my main concern is why bitcoin talk forum don't have a like button ( up vote ) ?    that will solve lot of problems and reduce spam

And be like the other shitty forums around the internet where people keep on begging for likes, up votes, reps, etc? No thanks. It's quite different here but things are improving and in a different manner. I don't want to see the forum spammed with,

"If this helped you, don't forget to like or +rep"
"+rep to view this thread"
"don't be a freeloader like or +rep"

and all those other bs other forums have.

Another thing about other forums I've been on, they have a minimum post or worse reps or likes to be able to post in particular sections of the forum. Where's the freedom in that? Here, you can post anywhere you like even if you just created your account without restrictions aside from some time restriction that won't allow a new account to post or PM successively.

The dice jackpot is getting pretty big, almost 6BTC.

I've been spinning the mid week madness for over a month now, no one has won it yet  Cheesy

Last win 21st February.

Wow! 6 BTC!? I've not really followed the dice jackpot for a while, that's a lot to win! Probably will try to do the same on the next mid week madness. I'll just try for the lower rates as that would still be a lot of money if I win the jackpot.

When you are on mobile version you cant claim faucet unless you wont transfer into desktop/PC version theres a clickable link below for you to convert on pc mode and then you can able to claim faucet then revert to mobile version.Just refresh browser and you will go back to mobile.Theres no clickable icon/faucet claim on mobile version and this is based on my experience.
I've never really played on mobile with faucets, but it's good to know there is a work around over this. A bit tedious, but still great for people that wants to use mobile and faucets.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your first betting? on: April 04, 2018, 09:40:24 PM
I remember my first gambling I think when I was 12 and that game was kind of card game. My cousin taught me how to play and after I learned everything he told me put a bet and the winner will get all of those bet so technically I lost because he had some techniques that I didn't even know.

Haha, I guess it is pretty standard to get burnt like that from one of your family members or relatives.. I had a similar introduction to gambling but hey, I learned from it Cheesy.
How evil is your cousin. Cheesy

He basically taught the guy to gamble against him with some edge. Kinda like real casinos, don't you guys think? So it's like

Step 1: Teach the potential gambler
Step 2: Let him play against you with some edge (house edge)
Step 3: Win (or lose but less likely)

Well it's now confirmed that this bugger has been just milking the community with his shill tweets about promoting shitty ICOs. So all the ICOs he has been promoting through his tweets have all been just shills, now I don't know what to believe anymore.

No one should really believe a single word that man says. He's totally nuts! When the time comes he'll likely eat his nuts too on live television. I would truly want to see that bitcoins reach $1,000,000 but before that happens I would pay to see him eat his nuts.

Well, he says he conducts due diligence on what he does shill. And since he does have this bizarro rep to maintain now it's in his interest not to push absolute shit.

That must narrow his options quite a bit though. I presume that payment is in hard dollars or Bitcoin, not their crappy token.

Of course he's accepting BTC or USD only and not the shill he supports. Problem is that he's just a "mercenary" which means he does things for the highest bidder and not really for what he stands up for which is to promote crypto. Yes he does promote crypto, but in a bad way. It does not speak highly of him and I would say that he is not someone we should trust. If he truly believes in a coin or token, then I think payment for his tweets should never have been an issue.

12  Economy / Services / Re: How much does it cost to create a crypto currency exchange? on: April 03, 2018, 10:38:59 PM
There are some white label exchanges around the internet which offers a good exchange script. Although I would say that it would be much more expensive to create one than just having your coin listed on an existing one.

I would imagine you would have to spend a lot on advertising and marketing to have people deposit into your exchange even if you don't really pay for the script since usually white label scripts goes for a profit sharing kind of deal. You will also have to spend a lot on server hosting as a simple small one would likely not suffice. Probably operations will also be expensive as you need people to maintain your website, support system, etc.

Some of the white label bitcoins exchange scripts I was able to find on google:

https://bitexchange.systems/
https://www.ibinex.com/
https://www.cryptonext.net/

Take note though, I do not endorse any of them nor do have any experience using them. As I just got them from a google search, I cannot vouch for their effectiveness, truthfulness, or any other aspect. Probably someone experienced could reply here, but I doubt anyone successful in creating a bitcoin exchange would have the time to even come on the forum.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots machines how to win on: April 03, 2018, 10:29:32 PM
Is possible win big prize in slot machines?

there are many slots games and providers ,in most of them can not win.

For example i playing slot starburst, i had 100 free spins and nothing.

then I played others slots and after several spins have win.

They are some slots win and some never win?

I find this website: https://slot-machines-how-to-win.000webhostapp.com/

Its scam?
Just think about it if you were the owner of those machines will you want your players to win too often? I suppose the answer is no and now you know why winning at the slot machines like in most games in the casino is very difficult, the chances are against you, I love gambling but we need to be realistic about what we can expect out of it and gambling is only supposed to be for entertainment and not as a way to earn money.
As a gambling site owner specially on slots we wont really let our players to take edge against us this is why its quiet understandable that odds would really be always against us which is normal. If we do win thats definitely because of luck nothing-less. People are always claiming that there are ways on how to win on any gambling games which isnt surprising and we do see people who are claiming these things.
Those claiming they have a method to earn money in games in which there is no skill involved are either too naive and they do not really understand the math behind the games or are probably trying to scam someone telling them they have a way to make easy money and people fall for this all the time buying scripts that have no chance to make them winners on any game.
They are too excited or they do just love to share out their ways on how to make money might have a price or totally free. I do love the shared up link because i can able to play slot games without the need of having a fund yet some of them doesnt allowed for you to make try outs with just using a play money.

"Ways on how to make money" is not something you should really be considering in gambling. There is no way you can profit consistently in gambling that you would be able to say it is a way to make money. You will win some and lose some, but likely the latter. House edge in the long run will destroy any gambler, so if you win the short run that would be the time to cash out. This is true in all forms of gambling, and especially in slots.

What OP posted is just a link to what slot games gives out good prizes, since there are hundreds if not thousands of online slot games to choose from, but sadly I would say that 90% of them don't give out a proportionate winnings or jackpot. You can probably say that a lot of the slot games have a pretty high house edge.
14  Economy / Gambling / Re: 0% house edge, rake and comission on: April 03, 2018, 09:47:35 PM
But the thing is there are gamblers that can't stop playing even if they have won a lot already and think they can make more out of their winnings but end up losing in the end.
You are assuming that they are losing to prove that they lose.

Just because they are wagering does not mean that they are going to lose. Just because they are greedy and continue to bet does not mean that they will lose. And if you are considering only one player, then the variance is high and you will deviate from the mean of 0.

Basically, your argument boils down to this: human emotions cause greed, which means a higher wagered amount, resulting in the loss of money.

This may be true with games that have house edge, but it's not true in the case of zero-edge games. And not only that, but you are also assuming that the casino has enough bankroll to cover that of the player.

From my cursory reading of your conversations, I would agree with actmyname. The fact is that indeed there are those that will get greedy but probably there would equally be those that win and takes home the money thus resulting to probably an equal gain and losses for the casino. Mathematically speaking, this is indeed a 0 end game since we are rolling an infinite number of games and this means that the closer we reach infinity the more likely the results will be 0 in this case. Hence, indeed a casino with 0% house edge is just wasting their time and server hosting.

It's possible to obtain the hosting fees through donations from happy customers Cheesy
Probably by displaying a messege asking for a donation to people that won significant amounts of money and placed a withdrawal.

What is the point of running a site and depends on donations to maintain a site? I don't know how many winners are ready to donate their money.

I don't think any normal business person does this mistake without keeping an option to bring some profits for them for the time and risk they take to run the site.

I don't think a gambling site can just run on donations. As a gambler, I would have in the back of my head " I won this money fair and square without the casino even giving anything back to me when or if I lose on my bets. So why should I donate?" Since the casino doesn't really care about the gambler if they lose, so why would the gamblers care if the casino closes down? The gambler will only care about his deposit and the winnings, he could care less about the casino.

Even in the land of technology and the place where it seemed like the first place where bitcoins and cryptocurrencies would be widely accepted, then it gets hit with this kind of law. Guess it will still be a long way before we see cryptocurrencies really become mainstream. It looks like it will be just a far away dream in this lifetime.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports Betting on: March 30, 2018, 06:53:15 AM
Hey everybody, I did not want to make this negative, just posting a betting tip from a friend who runs a service for tips and advice. I dont care about getting money from anybody here, me reasoning is, just bring some well informed tips from somebody who actually dedicates themselves to sports betting. Any tip can go wrong. Aything can happen any time. I bet Nick Diaz to win against McGregor first fight and won some great btc, then the rematch I bet Diaz again seeing as he had a complete camp, was a lot sturdier because of weight and experience and had a lot more cardio. Lost. In any case the only thing is a tip is a tip, not a sure thing.

Now the site is https://teamblackpack.com/

I do not own it or get anything by promoting it. One of the owners is dating a friend of mine, and we talked and said he could give me some tips from time to time, but if I wanted anything more Id have to purchase his service.

Do what you will, I was just putting a TIP.

THX

It was expected but not so soon you will ask people to visit their site to buy the tips.

Expected that you may post few more tips and later you may ask members to buy directly from them but you did it quite fast.

I can hardly believe that OP is not promoting the site, since he just post the site. He may even be the owner or someone who has a stake in that site. Anyway, if this is legit then good luck to does that follow these tips.
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where is the bottom for BTC price? 6K, 5K or even lower? on: March 30, 2018, 06:41:56 AM
Thanks for great article. I also believe it will not go down from 6k. If it goes I think we can see 4k or lower
Me too. The situation will not be that bad, in April everything will return to orbit. Whales are creating psychological panic for everyone.

True, but really this is also brought about by the recent Mt.Gox liquidation. The  price is bring brought down because of the increased supply in bitcoins going back into the market. The bitcoins that were frozen and thought to be burned because it remained in stored for a long time has resurfaced and is causing the price to go down.
19  Economy / Economics / Re: Why are you saying wait? on: March 30, 2018, 06:37:07 AM
In recent months, the market has dropped a lot. Many people's portfolios have fallen by 50 percent, and the answer is basically waiting.

We can sell it at a higher price and buy when it goes down.

I think we'll lose a little bit less, better than nothing.

when price bitcoin low, I prefer to wait until its rise. then I will sell my bitcoin.
That's a good thinking, buy at a lower price then selling when high. Just the basic rules may apply in trading, although the market has dropped a lot and our portfolio are in 50%  let's just wait. Because market trend will not take long at this stage, for sure it will rise.
I think that is a basis always applied by traders players. well it was a good decision. I hope the price of bitcoin can return to have a higher price at the current price. so many blows have happened in the last few months to bitcoin.
Patience as always to avoid losses. The best decision making for now is to hodl our bitcoin due to the prices is on dump. I believe on bitcoin which is based on blockchain tecnology, I think bitcoin will range in a higher value and having good benefits for the investors.

Well if you continue to hold then the price keeps on going down and stay there, you might probably lost the chance to profit out of your held coins. It's not always about holding your coins, but more off selling them at the right price. We might not know, but maybe bitcoins would stay at this level of price, because we can't really predict the future of bitcoins.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Digital money or virtual currency? on: March 30, 2018, 06:35:16 AM
If fiat currencies change into something like cryptocurrency, then probably crypto will lose its novelty and people will prefer to still use the fiat which has been digitized. Since the fiat will be supported by the country that created it unlike crypto which has always been frowned upon by the governments.
