81  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any feedback on kraken? on: February 14, 2014, 04:29:38 PM
I think there is something fishy about Kraken not releasing a list of countries where verification can proceed

There is something seriously wrong about uploading documents only to be given "pre-verified" status and no service rendered, its disturbing because your documents can be used to commit fraud.

Kraken should either provide a list of countries/states they support or simple close registration to those countries that they do not support, it would be the honest thing todo.
82  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why people don't switch to Kraken? on: February 14, 2014, 04:25:54 PM
Also what's this "Pre-verified"...i completed the first two tiers of verification and shows as "Pre-verified", but I still can deposit or withdrawal....

Pre-verified means that your account is verified, but that the particular verification-tier isn't available for your country/state yet. You'll be upgraded to normal verified status when that changes.

And once again no list is provided of what countries are covered

What is the point of verification if it achieves nothing, in fact all you are doing is uploading enough private documents for them to commit identity fraud, and what do you get in return? nothing

How hard is it for Kraken to provide a list of support countries?

Despite me asking Kraken do not provide a clear list of countries they are allowed to legally operate in
85  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Kraken exchange not Affected! on: February 12, 2014, 06:00:37 PM
It be nice if Kracken had a clear list of what countries they are allowed to operate in and from where users can complete verification.
86  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coingig.com Closing Down! on: February 12, 2014, 01:54:33 PM
It would be nice if Coingig told the community the reasons, I wanted to make a legal marketplace after bitmit closed, but seeing how neither them nor coingig are giving any reasons I am nervous now and think its not worth it
87  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Virwox suspends BTC withdrawals on: February 12, 2014, 12:26:31 PM
BitSimple is not affected.  We are accepting trades right now.  We aren't crazy enough to sell Bitcoins for PayPal but we will buy your Bitcoins for a paypal payment (or ACH or Bank Wire).  We also never hold user's bitcoins so if we did need to suspend wallet operations your coins wouldn't be frozen.

Just head of your service, do you do International Wire transfer to Europe?
88  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: So now that blockchain supports CoinJoin, what pitfalls should we be aware of? on: February 12, 2014, 10:31:05 AM

Stamp about to become Gox 2.0?

I doubt it, they have been extremely professional and good support while mtgox are a wreck, also their fiat withdrawals are fine
91  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coingig.com Closing Down! on: February 11, 2014, 01:59:56 PM
No, I just said they wouldn't even let people sell seeds, so where'd you get that from?

Ah sorry misread, yes then it is interesting why the sudden closure, first bitmit now this.
92  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coingig.com Closing Down! on: February 11, 2014, 01:45:18 PM
The only reason I could think of is if the owner was scared of being charged with money laundering.  If someone else was selling illegal goods on there but he was facilitating the BTC transfer, he could probably get in trouble.  Hopefully someone else will step up and maybe legitimize a BTC marketplace, maybe require an ID.  That might prevent people from trying to sell stolen goods, etc.

There's https://cryptothrift.com/. They didn't allow illegal items and wouldn't even let you sell stuff like Cannabis seeds on there.

Did Coingig allow the sale of drugs? No wonder they are closing down.

94  Economy / Service Discussion / blockchain.info Transaction Confirmation Failed email on: February 10, 2014, 10:10:27 PM
Anyone else getting sudden surge in emails from blockchain.info? I never got these before and now get 2 in few short hours for transactions i sent

Quote
Transaction Confirmation Failed

A transaction made through Blockchain.info has been removed from our database because it was taking a long time to be included in a block.

Any funds have been returned to your wallet and you can now spend the coins again. Please consider including a larger fee in future transactions.

Of course whatever default fee blockchain.info has I used.

Also the shared coin send feature is not working either for 2 days now, says loadin.
