Hello, it is located in Macomb county.
5  Economy / Computer hardware / US Based Mining facility for rent/sale of assets Located in Michigan $50k/$30k on: March 05, 2019, 03:28:49 PM
Those of you that may not be aware, I have been active on this site for several years and have been mining as well. I am in the process of moving again, so rather than tearing all of my wiring/assets down, I figured I would see if anyone is looking to get into owning/operating a mining facility.

Therefore this post is for the opportunity to save on startup costs associated with creating a mining facility. Included in the asking price are the following:

Take over remainder of our lease of for two more years, you are locked in at $833.33/mo excluding utilities (the sale price does not include coverage of lease payments, you would still be obligated to make the remainder of the lease payments).
There currently is a tenant in the storefront side of facility currently paying rent. ($350/mo all utilities included, renting about 250 sq/ft of space)

Back half is yours (as pictured), or you can terminate their lease to keep front for yourself.
Current commercial electric rates are .055cents/kwh with DTE. Can guide you through the rate selection process with DTE to ensure you get the most aggressive rates possible.

Also included is custom wiring of a 400 amp panel, including 48 120v plugs, and 12  220v plugs. For cooling a 35,000cfm upblast fan was installed in the roof to suck all of the hot air out of the building during the summer months. All you would need is to setup an account with a cable company, the electric company, and a pc or server to interface with miners/firewall to get mining immediately.

Will accept payment in either cash or bitcoin for the transferring of business ownership. A breakdown of all finances spent are below. Once again this sale is for the assets/infrastructure put in place for a mining facility.

35,000CFM Loren Cook upblast fan $12,000
2 - 200 amp panels with wiring $15,000
Firewall, Unmanaged Switches, Cabling,  $1,600
Pdus  $1,200
Industrial Floor Fans $650
5000 BTU Floor AC Unit $500
6 Metal Racks, 2 plastic racks $640
24 Antminer S9's
2 Dragonmint T1's
1 Antminer Z9
4 Antminer T9

Asking $50,000 or equivalent bitcoin. Open to offers.

Video of facility can be seen here:

Once again, I am open to offers. As I would rather not have to deal with the headache of renting a crane, and tearing everything down to bring everything across country with me. If there is no interest, then I will do so.

That’s great news. If we could land some other larger miners we will be on our way back up to regular block finding again.

Thanks for the comments. That’s the way bitcoin has gone for years now. During the rough years, everyone has negative comments for business ventures, while during the good years, posts are full of regret for not doing something before the economic booms.

As for the update to my farm progression, I have maxed out my 400 amp panel at 43 miners. I now installed my 10 Avalon 921s and for whatever reason even at an under lock of -2 I am still seeing 20.8TH per machine. I had to pull 3 t9s off line which was kind of disappointing. Mathematically, my 200 amp 220v panel is only utilizing 180 amps but was constantly tripping. I figure if the whole box is tripping at -20F it definitely will trip faster on warmer days or cause a fire. So I pulled 3 t9s down to soften the load a bit on that panel. Here is a quick video of latest status. Next up will be an MDF partition between the hot and cold side of the miners going roughly 2/3 up to the ceiling in anticipation of the warmer climate of the summer.

Thanks for helping guys, I ordered that power brick, but in the mean time I am going to try several different ones I have lying around the house. I have one for my home use pi but not sure if it’s the same amperage. I’ll bring that with me and some others. If none work, I’ll try the older firmware. It looks like they did install the January firmware on the controller.

so....it was the psus. Canaan sent me the 911 power supplies not the 921. They are sending me the correct ones via Dhl at no charge.

Yes but unfortunately I am no longer local to you. My farm and I now reside in Michigan. I appreciate the offer though. I did not attempt to run all 10 miners yet. I only got halfway through unpacking/swapping miners before I realized that it was every single one with the problem. I do have another video call with Canaan techs tonight so I will post updates as they happen. It’s currently being powered by usb 3.0 directly connected to my server. I do have a samsung 5v 1amp spare power brick that I can use if you think the server isn’t supplying enough power. The server itself resides on a platinum 1000w ps running maybe 30% load.

When the controller is powered on the GUI is there and I can get into every submenu and make changes. It shows no active connections in its live monitoring and zero speed for fans and hashing. Canaan had me try one by one yesterday on the controller and even had me attempt to power on the miners with no wires connected (except the power supply) all attempts yielded the same result. No signs of life. No way to actually get into them. I was given four auc’s for room for growth after my next purchase after Chinese New Year when their next models are released.

Canaan supplied everything this go around. The miners, the psus, the controller, the four auc’s and all the cabling for each.

None work, the firmware was installed by the Canaan team via teamviewer. I do not recall which version they installed but I will check when I go back to the farm later today.

All four aucs dead though?

I landed ten including their power supplies direct from Canaan during their flash sale. They arrived yesterday. Opened five up, removed 2 dragon mints and 3 s9s and replaced them with the 921s and their corresponding psus , no life. Tried 250v power, 220v power and 220v power through a pdu. Controller and auc’s light up, but no one is home on the 921s. Power supplies power on and blow air as they should. Last step will be trying my bitmain, halong, and hp power supplies. Canaan has been more than helpful though via video calls on WeChat and remotely logging in via team viewer. It could be possible these were shipped with no firmware as my controller did not have firmware installed either.

Another update, I took advantage of Canaan’s flash sale and purchased ten on their 921’s including power supplies, controller and 4 auc’s. I have had some odd issues though. No matter what I do, these miners will not turn on. I have tried through my 250v pdu, my 220v pdu and directly connecting to the wall outlet and the same result every time. Controller and auc’s power up and light up, power supplies power up, but nothing on the miners themselves. I must say Canaans customer service is leaps and bounds better than its competitors because within minutes I was on a video chat with two techs and then had them teamview into my network. Suspicions are that in this last batch shipped out in the flash sale before discontinuation, they forgot to install firmware on the devices. My controller had no firmware installed, which makes me think this may be the case.

Another bump, promotion is still going on for this round. Had some power issues today, my farm should be back up later tonight. Heading to the facility to make sure no hiccups when the power does come back on. I also have 30 more miners in transit so I should break the 1ph threshold soon enough.
16  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: My "mini" mining farm on: December 21, 2018, 11:02:10 PM
You’ve posted about the hot and cold wall in my mining farm thread. I’m up to 38 miners now with another 10 en route. I was hitting the 80s on my miners with 25 machines last summer during 90 degree days. I’m sure I will need to build this same wall to avoid overheating in the summer with 50 machines. My upblast fan is rated to 30000cfm. I’m thinking if I build the wall halfway up (15 feet on a 30 foot ceiling) it should direct the hot air high enough where the fan should just suck everything out. What are your thoughts on that approach?

Nice setup. What are you using to suck the hot air out of the hot room?

Some Big Solo Miner take a chance on me and show me some love Smiley

Okay, you got it!  Grin

I'll sink some Petahashes in.  How do I do that?  Will the pool take care of it, can it handle that kind of hashpower?  Smiley
Of course it can, we had multiple petahashes at this pool in the past  Smiley
I have 200 terahashes more coming in, just need to add another electrical panel first.
19  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: My small (but growing) mining farm on: December 18, 2018, 07:13:07 AM
Some updates, I have swapped out for more metal racks. Installed pdus on almost every 230v outlet. And now have consolidated my 36 miners to 40 out of my 48 available outlets. However I do not have much amperage left as I just had my electrician come out and perform a load test. Only 29 amps left when running in summer mode, and 50amps in winter mode. Meaning that I will need another 400amp panel installed before my next batch of miners come in. Below is an updated picture.

*EDIT- updated with a link of a quick video showing the progress, since this video I have added three more miners and am in the process of ordering 10 more. Bringing my total to 50 miners now.

Your shares will always remain for the current round. Regardless if it takes one minute or one year to find a block, you will be paid out when the block is found for your shares submitted vs the total shares submitted by other users.
