I am not sure whether it is already discussed. Is it ok to set a max coinage (5 - 10 years), so coins that are were not spent for specific can be invalidated. and, to distribute these coins through mining rewards (throughout for next few years). So that, no coins were ever lost.

I propose two new symbols too: 1 and 2 Can't be more practical: How many do I owe you? 210 How many do you owe me? 100.01 so, you owe me, 9.99. pay me my 19.99 now. in other words, 29.99.

Villagers in China can buy gadgets with sheep. People in China's Kashgar can pay for their consumer electronics, such as smartphones, with sheep. One entrepreneur recently announced the innovative program in order to teach locals that gadgets aren't as expensive as they thought. The "price list" isn't ba-a-a-a-a-a-a-ad. A smartphone costs one sheep, and a laptop costs four. The biggest hurdle so far is that local villages don't have access to the Internet. http://usa.chinadaily.com.cn/china/2013-06/02/content_16557475.htmsharing from here, https://plus.google.com/+MikeElgan/posts/B3VN2frSdpD

I am running out of my patience.
Can somebody give me a better link to put in bitcoin wikipedia page as a reference to XBT.
Looks like, change.org petition is not accepted.
Somebody is deleting XBT related edits again and again.

This is really big. Everyone wants to pay less (5%) of items they buy, or for any other bills. People who wants bitcoin also ready to pay more (5% - 10%). This is not just amazon specific business opportunity. This can be implemented in every country.

Somebody deleted XBT references from bitcoin wikipedia page, for being used wikipedia as a SOAPBOX. I have explained it in the bitcoin talk page, to the person, and put the changes back to the page. I have provided change.org petition as reference. If anyone knows a better reference link, please go ahead and update wikipedia. otherwise, update this thread, and I will update wikipedia.

thats just an idea, a symbol / alphabet which could be made only using 1s and 0s.
there are many alphabets that fits the above requirement too; like, Q, D, P, d, B or, θ, etc.
anyone is designing bitcoin symbol can consider the above concept.

Anyone is designing for XBT symbol, can start with *
just an idea.

Hi, this post is not for fun. I am proposing two more bitcoin currency symbols; % and * I was just checking key board symbols, % inspiration; some symbol that could be constructed with 1s and 0s. % is just that. * inspiration; from this we can get all alphabets of X, B and T. somehow. how?? example, %567 *234 ugly? please feel free to ignore. There are already more than a dozen symbols proposed already. I am yet to add these symbols to, https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Bitcoin_symbol

Our startup will be calling the mBTC a "bit", and using the symbol below. ... Also, there is a perfect unicode symbol that already exists (U+0180) ƀ
'Bits' would be best suited for colloquial / everyday usage, like bucks, grands. Whether this 'bits' would be milli / micro BTC depends on the exchange rate. Now it is perfectly fine to use 'bits' for 1 milli BTC, but you wouldn't be calling it 'bits', when 1 milli BTC costs around $100. Still, we need a ISO standard currency code, XBT. Again, all these currency codes (BTC, mBTC, uBTC, Bits, XBT) can coexist peacefully.
