Is anyone else having problems with guiminer saying "bad connection" only when trying to connect to PPcoin on Coinotron?  All other coins work fine, but whenever I connect to PPcoin, it will run for maybe 10-20 minutes and then start saying bad connection.  I have tried port 8322 and 9322, although 9322 seems to happen less often, it will still start to say that after 30 ish minutes.  It happens on the 4 different GPU's that I have connected and I know it isnt an isolated problem as my buddy was having the same thing happen to him the other day and he got so fed up he switched to Litecoin.  Any help or workaround for this or other people experiencing this problem?

Please use cgminer. It better handles connection issues.

Yes it does but it still kills off shares that would have been made without the issues.

Can we please keep the website online for 24 hours straight just ONCE. My lord this is 2013 it's not that hard.. hardware is cheap, bandwidth is even cheaper. If your servers are overloaded add more they can be up within 3 days easy.

e-mailed too, no reply...

Right now I've switched to solo mining.  I don't thrust coinotron until my FRC shows up, they always have problems, down, etc.  Unfortunately, there isn't much any other FRC pools.

Oh well, solo is unpredictable on short term, but let's hope I'm not unlucky...  Should pop a block every 6~7 hours.

You can mine on a p2pool. It's what I started doing for now.

Same issue, 130 FRC didn't arrive from Coinotron yet and an automatic payment accumulated 130 FRC and counting although it is supposed to go out @ 50.

Same here.. I emailed them but no reply :/

I'm hoping you will still be offering this in a month as I'll definitely take advantage then!
1448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin build for noobs: 3x 7950s (1.8 MH/s) in a $10 crate case on: April 11, 2013, 05:03:48 AM
Anyone figure out the sweet spot for good kh/s rate for Sapphire 7950's ?

I've got 5 cards running at 1025/1480 -- default voltage with +10% power (won't stay in high performance mode if I don't add the 10%) but my overall hash rate is only 2.6 Mh/s but many are saying they get 700kh/s(3.5Mh/s) with their 7950's

Any help is greatly appreciated.
1449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: April 03, 2013, 05:10:06 AM
Hey guys,

I have 2 5850's getting 300 khash/s each with intensity of 18 .. 725 core / 1000 mem is this the best I can do from the cards? As it seems to lag my entire computer with it mining..

But I recently got a 7770 but the performance is really low only 170 khash/s any advice on how to increase it or perhaps a better card for under $200?

Thanks!

looks someone got a bot to mass-redeem codes.

I hate people sometimes. Worst part is it's probably someone who didn't even post here to say thanks..

Someone must be extremely greedy.. as I tried 30 codes randomly from that list and not a single one worked.. they all come back with:

This code cannot be redeemed (non existing or already used)

Interesting opinion.  So you don't care for the layout of the website?  What about their catalog of torrents?  Is it useful? Do they have much to offer?

A website that god awful shouldn't be allowed on the internet. Pirate Bay/katz has more torrents so they don't offer anything special. Combined with the awful layout and not-unique torrents they really offer nothing to anyone.

Explain?

Whats there to explain? They don't deserve a donation.

Have you actually used the site? It might look bad, but it's probably the best private tracker for tv shows out there. Also comparing a private tracker to piratebay? *sigh*

It's funny you think a site with 1+million members private.

@creativex seem you can't read the third post..

I've seen the BFL sockpuppet posts. They're completely meaningless when they contradict official BFL policy. You ARE aware of BFL official refund policy are you not? ...do you really believe that BFL_Jody<insert random name here>'s forum posts legally trump BFL's own policy faq?

Having been reading their forums for about a month.. It seems everyone that requests a refund gets it.

I have seen the refund policy posted on their main website which makes it confusing.. but if you're complaining here.. chances are you've taken a look at their forums that say you can get a refund whenever.. So if the OP bothered at all he could get his refund.

@creativex seem you can't read the third post..

From Jody's Blog

"Josh posted last night the most recent update about our ASIC chip. As we have been gearing up to get the first products out this month, the chip foundry is still tweaking. This delays our ship date until after the holidays. Now our families will have the burden of having us all at home to celebrate with them. We are trying not to be discouraged. If we have extended our date beyond your ability to stick with us, we at Customer Service are ready to refund money for those who want to get out of the line. "

and no you can't sue. When you pre-ordered at no point did they say "on December 2nd you will have you device in your hand" get your head of your ass. Games, cars, movies, cell phones... god damn everything gets delayed for various reasons. So stop being a worthless piece of shit to humanity and get your refund if you're unhappy other GFTO

--- on an mostly unrelated note.. pretty sure most of us aren't american.

Alright,

So I called up my lawyer for you and he said you can do nothing legally against them and it's very very clearly stated you can just get a refund whenever you want.. So do that.

Otherwise, they aren't a big box american retailer so they give 0 f*cks about you
