1  Other / Meta / Re: FYI: Stolen Account on: June 10, 2020, 04:25:38 PM
You can inspect the links in your browser to double check where you are being directed before clicking.

At the end of the day, I can't make you change the feedback. It's your opinion and that's fine. However, can you answer for me why my pre-hack signature is not enough?

Thanks.
2  Other / Meta / Re: FYI: Stolen Account on: June 10, 2020, 02:41:56 AM
Most of those addresses were in an old blockchain wallet that I no longer have. I'll double check later to see if I can provide a signature, but that post IS from before the hack so I'm not sure what the issue is. Unless you believe my account was hacked twice and thus has been accessed by three different people, that post verifies that I am the legitimate owner.

I understand you are just being cautious, but I'm not quite sure why there seems to be some animosity. You can leave the negative trust if you wish. I just thought I'd ask.

EDIT: If you look at your screenshot, you entered the signature in the message box and the message in the signature box. That's why you can't verify it.

I was PM'ed by Razick today asking me to look at this thread.  I'd forgotten about this thread, but again ask Razick to read my previous reply back on the 30th of April.

I will also draw everyone's attention to the OP link:

Verify without quotes: "Razick is my account, see link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1028029.0"

Which reads:

Quote
Proof of Address Ownership, Razick, 1vayZZw4U1pKQic2FjZ7aYg8e1qDSNxCC
18 April 2015, 02:28:48

"I, Razick, am the sole owner of the private key bound to the address: 1vayZZw4U1pKQic2FjZ7aYg8e1qDSNxCC"

Signature: HOyPU5vw29SibCC2zdpA6gPyOqPZtKxEKCP7bmrF5kzSxvhyz1AUckcXwZ0A2uhCj4+ArPPpcwgHA68f1ZZbwWg=

Exclude quotes to verify message. Bare Signature (QT Compatible).

NOTE: I posted in this forum to ensure that the thread cannot be deleted.

I've tried to verify that message using https://jhoenicke.github.io/brainwallet.github.io/#verify and am unable to.

So like everyone else, why did you wait four years to come forward?  Are you going to delete the four years of posts so that you can't profit from "the hacker's" posts in signature campaigns, and, please sign a message as requested above.

How to sign a Message. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990345.0 with today's date, your user name and one of the wallet addresses you used pre 2016 as listed above.

Code:
-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----
<insert message here>
-----BEGIN SIGNATURE-----
<insert address here>
<insert signature here>
-----END BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----

I was unaware of the hack until visiting the forum this year. I had not checked in during that time. I no longer have his signature (and obviously don't have the address he was getting payment at). The dates my account was hacked are in my signature (approx, based on last legitimate

I am able to verify my signature from Razick is my account https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1028029.0 in Bitcoin Armory. Could you please try a different client to verify? Also note that for some reason, and I am sure I am doing something wrong, I cannot generate a valid signature block in the format you've requested. I'm using a bare QT signature. I'll post it in the same format as my post from 2015.

Note that the other users and the recovery team were able to verify my signature.

Here's a new one:

"I Razick am the sole owner of the address 1vayZZw4U1pKQic2FjZ7aYg8e1qDSNxCC. Today's date is 6/9/2020."

Signature: HEstMca7FsXTTzIj8xgQmKA2dW4gtMGXb9+6iAizcDRwk8ytf+DCZUXWjdHIR1WNl5CIOFRwzaTDvpWJ2x/Doz4=

Exclude quotes to verify message. Bare Signature (QT Compatible).

If the posts from your account that made members who left you feedback believe that you were cheating on signature campaigns  were made in the period when your account was hacked. Then it would be unfair for such feedback to be left on your profile even after recovery of your profile.

What makes things complicated is that you didn't warn members here back then as soon as your account was hacked so it's hard to determine when hacker took over the account.
Maybe you should point out here when the account changed hands along with visible signs like change of posting pattern and also sign a message from an earlier address so as to convince members who left you negative feedback to reverse or remove it.

I was unaware of the hack until I visited the forum this year. I have removed the signature and replaced it with a warning about the dates the account was hacked. I would remove those posts, but clearly the hacker was in the business of quantity over quality. I don't have time at the moment to delete them, and some of them I am unable to delete due to the forums they were posted in. I'll post another signature as requested.
5  Other / Meta / Re: FYI: Stolen Account on: June 09, 2020, 12:22:25 AM
I don't stand by everything I said in the past. Like anyone who cares about the truth, my opinions, particularly political, have changed and evolved over time.

I was recently curious about how Bitcoin was doing because I don't really follow it, and saw someone scamming people under my account. That's my concern and why I recovered my account. I do apologize for the accidental spamming. I only intended to send one message but I was messaging multiple users and must have gotten you twice by mistake.

I have one Armory wallet and no, I unfortunately don't have PGP or access to those 10,000 addresses which I generated for.... well, I have no clue why. I think perhaps I was considering using the addresses for a web development project which would have used a new address for each transaction (obviously not the right way to do this). I still have my Rasperry Pi, but haven't used it in years.

I used the 1vay address for recovery because it's the one I signed years ago. If you read the hacker's posts, they are clearly a change in tone.

Yes, I did try my hand at a few failed businesses/hobbies, including TxT Paintball (paintball, not guns and ammo), fuel cards (which failed due to the site banning me due to fraud suspicious, which is understandable since I was buying large cards to send to other people's addresses. Note that I did fully refund the 1 person that sent money.

If you read the post about double spending, you'll see the attempted double spend was when I was trying to determine how to over-wright a stuck transaction (to get it to go to the person I originally sent it to). It eventually went through, and then the same seller scammed me on a subsequent transaction. I was not trying to commit fraud.

I have never hacked or attempted to hack anyone without their authorization. And I don't have the skills to do so successfully in most cases even if I wanted to. Finally, yes, I did earn $10,000 and sometimes less as a fast food worker during college. Is that so unique? I'm in the financial industry and earn a decent living now if that matters.

I'm not sure what your concern is, but obviously you don't buy my story. That's fine. Feel free to leave the negative trust if you if you like.

Account recovered, thanks all!
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin dominance is actually over 90% on: September 28, 2019, 11:02:34 PM
I thought its dominance was 70%. Realistically, it's possible that more people have Bitcoins on exchanges then we realize. Anyway it's mathematically inevitable that altcoins will take some of that dominance. It's like saying back in 1998 cougar would only be the only search engine. Actually, that's a bad example because Google pretty much is the only search engine. Baby Bitcoin will still be this dominant in 20 years.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NASA to Launch Bitcoin to the Moon? on: September 28, 2019, 10:16:54 PM
I guess they are preparing the wonders of vast space to be the center for making a miner that will use the vast space and time to mine for Bitcoin, the unlimited capacity and imagine free internet to be powered by energy in space, I just heard a quite pointers on what may happen  in their exploration, but their main focus is cryptocurrency.

Well, even though I have experience with cryptocurrency and Blockchain I'd rather stay on earth and be on the comfort of my home, I do not really suit in extreme weather condition on space in my opinion, but this kind of project makes me thrill in what can they really been up to.

Your comment makes absolutely no sense. What are you even trying to say? It sounds like you just typed random words because OP set space and NASA in the title. well maybe I'm wrong maybe English as your third language or second language. No offense.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At wits end, need help! on: September 28, 2019, 10:13:57 PM
You should use localbitcoins. Even in third world countries, you can use localbitcoins to buy Bitcoin from people near you. All you have to do is follow the instructions for whichever method you choose to buy Bitcoin, and it's a very safe process because localbitcoins escrows it so that the seller can not just run away with your money. Hope this helps.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to cash out bitcoin anonymously in 2019! on: September 28, 2019, 09:50:43 PM
Are there people on this forum who would like to know how to cash out BTC in fiat ANONYMOUSLY via their preferred way of sending the fiat?

I have found a way to do it but I am not sure whether it is allowed to post it here or whether there is enough interest to post it

the best way that you can cash out Bitcoin anonymously is if there is a Bitcoin ATM in your local area which doesn't require identification to buy and sell Bitcoin. If you buy and sell Bitcoin for cash, and ID is in required, then it is for all intents and purposes, anonymous.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Supply is meeting demand. The number of Bitcoin ATMs worldwide is up over 500% on: September 28, 2019, 09:49:23 PM
it's only natural that the number of Bitcoin ATMs will multiply each year, because only a small fraction of the world population even knows about Bitcoin and still to this day. There for businesses and investors around the world are going to jump on this opportunity to get into the Bitcoin space.
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Making exponential gains trading on: September 28, 2019, 09:48:15 PM
You can only make so many gains trading before you will end up losing. There isn't any exchange which you can make unlimited trades. They only have so much Fiat available to play with. In terms of exponential, well that's just completely unrealistic dot-dot-dot because you can expect to always profit, let alone make exponential gains.
13  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading crypto independently considered a business? on: September 28, 2019, 09:45:39 PM
I don't know if it's a business but technically crypto trading is relevant to the government. If you haven't registered a business, then it is not considered as a business, but it is still considered as income if you profit from trades,.and you need to report it to your government.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Blockchain trigger a massive boost in our economy? on: September 28, 2019, 09:13:05 PM
Blockchain has already produced a massive boost in our economy, and all signs show that it will continue doing so. then technology is revolutionary and is helping people all around the world to come out of poverty.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin - Can it boost or break a countries economy? on: September 28, 2019, 09:12:17 PM
Bitcoin can boost the country's economy or it can break a country's economy, depending on how they manage their investment. If they try trading it or don't take care of it then they could lose a fortune. Alternatively, they could get hacked by different foreign nation and lose their investment money, which could cripple their economy.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: Venezuela's central bank is holding Cryptocurrency! on: September 28, 2019, 09:11:00 PM
Well it's a good idea for any economy to hold cryptocurrency because the upside is much greater than the minimal risk that comes with investing in it. Hopefully it works out for Venezuela and their current economic nightmare changes for the better!
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: if ETH hold above 168, downtrend will be over. on: September 28, 2019, 09:09:25 PM
The downtrend is across the entire crypto industry. You need to look at the big picture instead of just focussing on aetherium or any other single cryptocurrency. If you look at all the cryptocurrencies in the past month, will actually the past few days they have dipped a lot. For example, Bitcoin was worth $10,000 a few days ago, and now is worth only 8,000.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do we get the best at this moment? on: September 28, 2019, 09:07:41 PM
I think it is best to learn to leverage trade and then make more BTC with profits on the dips to accumulate more long term. Right now I am working full time so do not have the time to spend learning trading techniques etc, and I just relax on the forum and collect coins that way which I can use some of them to trade for Bitcoin, for the long term. It all depends on how aggressive you are and how much capital you also have to invest in these higher risk markets and currencies like Bitcoin. I just look at Bitcoin more of a long term investment, but not sure if I am now too late in this field now. I think now the time to get lucky with Bitcoin is over as the early birds ate all the worms. Now mainly traders and large wallets are benefiting because they can grow their wallets larger with just small price swings.

day trading is risky business bro. I don't know about that whole leveraging to accumulate small amounts of crypto at a time because playing the large market swings has worked out better for me and I think it's better overall more people would agree that it's easier making crypto this way then day trading.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big drop in hashrate on: September 28, 2019, 08:30:50 PM
The drop in the hashrate doesn't really matter since it has no effect on the market value of Bitcoin. A drop in the total hashrate of bitcoin will only affect the difficulty of mining Bitcoin.  But there is no direct relation between the fluctuations of the price of Bitcoin to the total hashrate of the entire bitcoin blockchain network...

Doesn't the hash rate affect the price because the more miners the higher the price generally of a coin, and the last miners who focus on a coin then the price goes down. The drop in hashrate is probably a negative sign for the price in the short term.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can more ATM's increase adoption for Bitcoin? on: September 28, 2019, 08:29:04 PM
in my country we have Bitcoin ATMs and they definitely help increase adoption because people see them in stores and it spreads weariness of Bitcoin at the very least, but also many people use them to buy their first Bitcoin or even invest in more cryptocurrencies if they so choose, and they don't have to trust random people online.
