The grandiose 300-meter metal tower, designed by Gustave Eiffel on the banks of the Seine, was twice as tall as the tallest structures in the world. It served as an entrance arch to the territory of the exposition.

After the exhibition, the Eiffel Tower, like all other exhibition facilities, had to be dismantled. But the tower, despite numerous petitions and indignation of Parisians, was preserved and after a few decades became a symbol of the city.

From August 29 to September 8, 2018, the 75th annual Venice International Film Festival was held.
And for the second consecutive year in Venice, a separate competition VR-films. These days the Venetian island of Lazaretto turned into a real VR-island. At the festival were presented the best film projects using VR-technologies.

🥇Prize for the best immersive history of virtual reality received the project of director Eliza McNitt (Elize McNitt) "Spheres", created by the American-French team.
"Spheres" is a three-part project that sends the viewer on a journey through space to amazing objects and discouraging spaces.
"The award for the best BP experience in the field of interactive content is given to the South Korean project" Buddy VR "under the leadership of Chuck Chae. The deep history of Buddy's mouse in the world of huge human things makes the viewer think about his own place in the universe.
"L'île des morts" or "Isle of the Dead" directed by Benjamin Nuel from France took the prize for the best history of virtual reality in the format of linear content. This timeless journey with the carrier of the underworld by Charon - from our apartment to the very end.
