1  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: coinvisitor.com - coinvisitor - Where we are TODAY.......... on: January 14, 2018, 12:03:20 AM
Well we may have some news to anyone still listening out there, we are currently in talks with one of the ALT coin owners about bringing back Coinvisitor using their coins instead of bitcoin.
As many of you know we have always been about the community and networking and after the discussions with them they both carry and support the same ideas.
It has been to long with little to no development in the use of coins and all about the speculative marketing.
We worked hard then and will now to bridge that gap, we are hoping to bring the paid chat back soon and the other features we had as we can develop.
We share many of the same goals as this coin does and we have the community and network foundation and they have the exchange traded coins and development to back us up.
Still early in the talks but we both are eager to work with one another.
It has been a long time since we have talked, but we never were very far away Smiley
Hope to see our old friends come back and support us, and as always we will do whatever it takes to make sure the members thrive.

Best wishes
Kev

Hi,
I am also having trouble with the wallet syncing. I tried to do the .conf and add nodes but the people helping have to understand that some of us are very much beginners when it comes to making files and everything.
When you say make a conf file and then put it in it is like saying first you tune the carburetor, not quite that easy. . This is a HUGE problem with this coin an a clear an concise set of instructions would be awesome.
I love this coin and it has huge potential but everyone I have sent to try it give up because they have the same issue.
If you want to really add value to this coin, take the time to make a step by step (Literally) video or written that we do not have to see the same questions over and over ..... and over again.
Thanks for all your guys help on here by the way. I think that, like I said this coin will keep users and gain new ones if we can keep it more simple.

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [POOL] PoolNetwork Presents.. DNotes Pool! 0% Fee [Proportional] on: February 20, 2014, 08:50:47 PM
These are one of the biggest problems with people trying to get into cryptos. Just understanding the basic set up of things and locations of stuff is next to impossible to a non seasoned user.

Looking at the post above there is no link to where to go, no good set of instructions how to set up or operate.

Do not think this is being critical of the work people do, we lose so many new users in crypto world because it is way to complex to navigate, set up and operate just the basics.

We tend to forget we all started somewhere and at some point if we wish to welcome the masses into our world and make cryptos truly function we need to make it as easy as possible.

Literally have seen thousands of people just walk away from the crypto world because just grasping the idea of it is tough and then we throw in the complex set ups, navigation, no instructions, having to register literally on dozens and dozens of websites to accomplish things.

The rewards to the casual user just are not there to deal with that. I hope we can form a community of true help on set ups and guidance on these things. It was separated our website from the rest and it does not take long to see the appreciation of those efforts when you look at the posts about us.

A true community can hopefully come from this and once we understand more on things here I hope to help with another community based chat and website for this and other cryptos.

Good luck and best wishes.

Kev

Having some trouble finding any links to mining, wallets or any of the functioning side of the coin. Would really like to see some links in an easy place to find as things develop.
Love this coin from what can tell of the community base you are trying to set. Hope to see more details and any help to get this community off the ground let us know.

Windows please and price you would want?
7  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: REWARD - bitcoin wallet text change on: July 08, 2013, 03:54:15 PM
It seems like it should be easy somewhat to do, but as stated best offer to have it so users can just click download and it says what I need it to will get payment they request. I do not mess with any coding or anything yet until I feel more comfortable knowing exactly what I am doing.
8  Bitcoin / Project Development / REWARD - bitcoin wallet text change on: July 08, 2013, 03:46:59 PM
Would like the text where it says bitcoin - wallet in the qt wallet upper left corner changed to say something else and be downloadable but everything else remains the same and work in the network. You tell me how much BTC this will cost me and best price and upon completion will make payment if it can be done. Thanks.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin qt wallet question....... on: July 05, 2013, 06:15:18 PM
This is not about back ups or anything. It is more a question of repackaging the wallet with different text only. 100% the same just need it to be called different and be that way from download for user.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Bitcoin qt wallet question....... on: July 05, 2013, 02:48:02 PM
Is it possible to have a downloadable qt wallet where it is the same but the text where it says "bitcoin-wallet" is different?
11  Bitcoin / Project Development / coinvisitor.com - coinvisitor - Where we are TODAY.......... on: June 25, 2013, 04:53:56 PM
 Hola,

I regret to inform that coinvisitor as we knew it is is gone. I have after careful consideration elected to lock up the servers, change all passwords and shut it down 100%.

It was difficult to decide but in current state it is both unmanageable, unreliable and in total disrepair. To try to fix it under the current state is not really an option.
I cannot trust the security of it or promise reliability and that is not acceptable.

We will attempt to get remaining balances and issue a block payment to all due, I have no time frame on this only because I cannot access this myself and will have to rely on the original developer to get me these. He is the only one from this point on that will have access to the files or server and in 2 weeks I will allow the server to lapse and shut down and let it drift off.

I consider the prior investment both a loss and great success at the same time.

In the mean time I will try to get a faucet on the site or sponsor existing ones and link them and continue to give support to sites and services as we always have but outside the site now overall.

I apologize for all these troubles, I will promise to make sure that much more than double what we owe is returned back to the community and that is already under way and still pay the remaining balances if I can get the balances.

I am now working on learning some things on my own to be in a better position technically and will devote the time I spent on the site issues to that with a great deal of reduction.

I spent almost literally every waking moment doing damage control, networking, chatting and managing the emails and site and will be reducing that now to spend some time with family and my other businesses that I put aside to this project.  6 months of non stop time on this I have lots to catch up on and get back in order.

I will continue to seek development and am currently getting estimates for rebuild. We did it once and with proper maintenance and better direction we will come out on top more than if we continued as we were.

I will leave it at that for now and give updates along the way.

Thanks for all the support of the site, I look at the reviews, posts and so on and other than a couple trolls we really had an amazing and successful site other than the technical issues.

The amount of times we are put first on a ranking system, called their favorite, banners put up for free, great reviews and community we built and became one of the top 1% websites for traffic in the world all in 6 months with a 2 man team and some great mods in chat..... pretty amazing to me.

have a good feeling when we come back and are better set up and not in reality beta constant..... we will rock out once again.

Thanks again and feel free to question or comment and will still be active in the community, just not have sold my soul to bitcoin any longer---- only my mind.

You can also email info@coinvisitor.com for faster response.

12  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: coinvisitor.com - coinvisitor down but not out on: June 25, 2013, 03:47:19 PM
Not sure what you mean by confession.

I was recommended to allow burstnet to change to root password and stop all development until we had a developer in place that could handle it. Goddog came back and got us up again for a little while and then crashed again. And he cannot take on this project any longer and that is where this whole mess started with trying to find replacement.

They changed the password but the damage was already done and I was told this from both goddog and new developer I brought in to try to fix it. Goddog said the file system was destroyed and many weird things were done to it. He had managed to get the chat back up as that was not as damaged.

The new developer had no idea where to begin in the mess and still does not with the earn site. A new rebuild is the best option it seems.

I will be posting about the final status on us in just a few after I post this.

 Thanks
13  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New Bitcoin Faucet and Lottery :) >> Chance to Invest << on: June 25, 2013, 03:32:30 PM
You sir are in no position to be asking for investments. I came across your posting looking for ones to do just that and as a warning to the community you are 100% in no position to do that.

You were loaned 1btc in one of your investment ideas or whatever by us and promised within 1 week to pay back. You not only did not, you have not paid a SINGLE  satoshi back when offered payment plan and not a single email in over a month. Also I bought the runescape account from you on biitmit to also help and you did not deliver and tried to sell it again and again.

More than a month has passed, much more and you never once messaged me or tried to make it right or a single payment you tell me what getting scammed means if that is not.

So even if your intentions are good and you may wish to help the community you are one of the last people that should be asking for investments.

I seriously would like nothing more than to see you succeed but as a service to the community I have an obligation to report any scam that I know to be true and there is 100% no doubt I was scammed by you and will not allow you to just keep on doing this.

Be warned and decide from there "investors" and any questions feel free to ask.

Also Fraenk,

Would you please email me at info@coinvisitor.com. I would like to talk to you about continuing the support or your site and other details. Thanks for looking out.

would like to clear a few things though. The wallet was not hacked really, access was given to developer and last I saw the balance was .0032 in admin panel.

2 things - with the site in the condition it was I do not trust the balance given 100%.  2nd either way there is always enough in reserve to cover any potential loss several times over of the balances due at any time as a precaution. All I need is one of these developers to put the payment system back in place and allow for the final withdraw on all accounts and past due amounts. Or at least get me the balances due and can find alternative way to kick out a block payment.

I personally never had access to wallet so cannot manually check. I relied on the admin panel for all balances and payment tracking which is gone.

As long as I can get the balances due then consider them to be paid as soon as block payment is in place. would likely pay off the whole visitors payments in small amounts at a time in succession to avoid the potential for lost or stolen coins to happen, whatever may be the case. such as do a .1 transfer to block payment, make sure they are paid, do another .1 and make sure paid one right after another until paid.

Until I find alternative that will be what I attempt to do.
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: LIFT Lottery - Next Week's Raffles on: June 24, 2013, 03:17:06 AM
Checkin past posts and came across this. We are going to rebuild the site outside the community it seems due to lack of developer commitment. It has been almost 2 months of being strung along and finally have to say no more tomorrows or 2 days till this gets done. I no longer know who to trust in the community when it comes to development so trying to go in a secure, feedback and project completion type developer.

I cannot allow the visitors to be told we are working on it any longer when in fact nothing is getting done so basically I am going to go for a complete rebuild 100% in a setting where sole judgement and promises and basically a screen name are all we have had just is not working. So trying for a secure feedback based setting to ensure it is handled.

It seems like a 30 day time frame is what most are asking, the reason of that seems to be learning bitcoin outside the community and how it works and such.

I will keep you posted and thanks for all the support.

Hate to keep this going but after wasting a little more time on this here is your nature...... And on behalf of the crypto community with your constant negative posts I give you a hardy piss off and karma will take of you in the end I am sure.

You talk down to people non stop when you are in no position to defend your own actions and constant, non stop negative posts is clear what you are about.

Glad to have met you and sure you have more hate and stuff to spread so I will not keep you any longer.

I leave you with this and show me how this does not describe you in all your posts over all.....

Keep posting, your doing so well.......... and as stated not a single source cited because the whole post that this revolves around is a slander attempt that only shows the true nature.

And to answer your new questions you found the ONE negative statement about us that was cleared up 100% not by us but our users and proven to be also false.

And the sopa image was in protest and support of the sopa blackout while we did a little maintenance.

Once again prove anything we said wrong where we have proved all you said was untrue other than the maintenance issue I agree upon.

And yes I messaged you, you expect me to have my site slandered by 100% untrue things. Guess again, you know you posted untrue things in your post and I will in public call you a liar in the private messages one as well. 100% untrue with no ability to back them up makes you one, clear, plain and simple. Not negotiable ....... period.... or provide the sources which I promise you that you cannot.

Its that simple, so do not slander other sites with untrue statements. You are accountable for all you say as we are as well.

18  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Coinvisitor - coinvisitor.com - current site and development and shut down on: June 23, 2013, 01:37:57 PM
Let us correct you MPOE-PR since you are wrong as you requested.

Your statement: Correct me if I'm wrong, but you operated a spammy interstitial page hijack type of "service" which paid something to the tune of 0.01 BTC to the publishers idiots installing your malware on their sites

Correction: nothing was ever installed on a single page or other site and we never paid any publisher for installing anything and honestly where did you get the .01 number from that we paid?  Exact references to your source please or you already look like you have no clue about what you are talking about.

Your second statement:  mismanaged the entire thing and collapsed under debts about a degree of magnitude larger arising from what'd mostly be a fraudulent sale by a previous owner.

Mismanaged? To a degree to remain honest yes it was not managed well due to developer issues. The customer service side of things far from it. We answer every email individually, we take care of each issue individually, we have both service and financially supported beginner sites 100% out of pocket and will continue to do so. We have offered server use, free advertising, advice to sites that otherwise would have struggled more and expected nothing in return even though usually the support and links to our site because of the trust and appreciation to our site could be considered a payment of sorts but none was requested and done on the sole discretion of the site owners.

Collapse under debts? once again where do you get your information? Please site your sources or once again prove you have no idea of facts and are just talking out your ass. Name one person we owe other than the visitors and I guarantee there is 10 times the amount needed to do that in reserve and that is a fact.

Fraudulent sale by previous owner? Are you high? I have been the owner in partnership with the original developer since the start and never once has it changed hands. Once again where are you pulling this information from? Guaranteed you cannot answer a reliable source because it is not true.

And as far as the pride in great service, the emails, reviews and positive statements speak for themselves. In this thread alone there are a few alone and look at our reviews by others who actually know us and what is going on.

We have pretty much a 100% open door policy of all issues we have had without hiding a thing so seriously where you get your information from you better consider your sources as reliable as the truth in your statements which is NONE other than management sucked as far as mechanics of the site.

And the we weren't counting you in the game yet?

For a site that finds value in things compare our site worth to yours on any website calculator and see we are more than double and close to triple and these are figured by outside sources that we have no control over. So I do not give a hoot about how you feel about us being in the game, the public has spoken and so have we. We may struggle along the way but in the end we will see, this is just the beginning and we must be doing something right.

If you spent more time researching your sources before trying to come at us for whatever reason you see fit and try to slander us with outright lies or misinformation you might get the respect and support we get as a whole. We are 100% not for profit since day 1 and you are 100% for profit, our profit can come later with new developments but coinvisitor is a not for profit site more than 100% as it stands and has been since day 1. Every single coin gotten and more has been returned to the users and we will continue to contribute more than take. Every time someone makes money someone is losing money so compare our services to the community as a whole to yours.

We have been a welcome to bitcoin site where people get their first coins and learn how the system works. It is not the amount they get that is key it is they are learning how to use bitcoin from us. Through our chatroom we help hundreds if not thousands of new users get a feel for bitcoin in a open and secure environment, get them the first coins and teach them how to transfer and use them. There is more value than a instant bottom line which you may not fully understand.

Also all you have to do is look at peoples views on your business as a whole and see the questionable nature of it. It is not us talking it is the community and I guarantee our percentages of support vs yours and the amount you are questioned and go on the defense with actual well thought out and good questions it is not even a fair comparison for you. Has anyone lost a single satoshi from us, the answer is no......... how about yours? How much have you given out of pocket to the community? How many websites have you helped sponsor?

In closing once again tell us where you got this information and site the sources as requested or you have to know yourself even how foolish you look posting something so far from being fact related it is comical because either your sources are bathroom walls, inside your head or not very reliable because I can back every single word I say, CAN YOU?

19  Bitcoin / Project Development / coinvisitor.com - coinvisitor down but not out on: June 19, 2013, 08:19:50 PM
Hi,

A quick message about the current state of what is going on. As you can see the website is down. It began with many coding and development issues and we had a new developer come in. Things moved very slow to almost not at all. Not only did the issues not get fixed development completions consisted of adding some rooms to chat and that was it over several weeks.

The other day I was at work and got a message from one of our moderators asking if the site was down and I went to look and got the information page you see now.
The mod also told me it seems the server had been compromised or something. I had changed the root password the day prior because of the server behavior as of late and did not like the way it was now operating.

Bottom line is the day after I changed the root password the whole site crashed, data is not available and we cannot access files. I use burstnet for servers and I have to say the support is complete.......ummm "junk"

So right now we are trying to access the files again and from the short time in there the original developer and new developer both are saying some very weird things have been done and things changed.

There is more to this than that but I need to confirm some things more before I go into detail. We are working as much as possible to get these things sorted out. I will have more answers as they come in.

One of the main questions will be are our bitcoins safe, the bitcoins are always safe even if they are not. There is always a reserve to cover any incident. The balances on accounts we are unsure of right now. Even so rest assured that those who know us know this will be handled.

We believe all information is safe as nothing was removed according to burstnet's internal logs. Now recovering everything is where we stand right now.  We are fairly sure it is all still there but even if it is not we will double the earnings, add a faucet on the site or something to make sure our users are taken care of.

Give us some time and support please as if you think this stressful to you with as much as we thrive on our customer service we borderline having a stroke..... but once again I have to say we will be back no matter what. We have multiple people working on things and it will just take a little time to get sorted out.

I am back on 12 hrs a day at work from 5 pm to 5 am central time so unavailable to answer emails and other requests at times but I check in at break time for any messages or issues and will read replies or answer emails as i can.

Thanks again for the support and patience we have always gotten and will do our best to get back in a whole lot better shape. And there are some additions to coinvisitor as well you should really enjoy and fatten the crypto wallet more.

If you wish to email direct you can at info@coinvisitor.com and I will update this as i can between tasks.

Kev
