If you are talking about coin, than, no, we are not working on it for 2 years. We are working on Orion Navigation for 2 years.
And, sorry for lack of information on our website. I'm planning to add more, as soon, as I'll get vacation (It will be pretty soon, trust me).

Most of all maritime accidents happens because of
1) Lack of awareness
2) Lack of communication
3) COLREG violations (COLlision REGulations)

These incidents covered by one term: Human error.

We are trying to make a semi-automatic navigation system, which can predict actions (requires action from watch officer) or even make maneuver itself (if both vessels equipped with our system. No action required from  Later on, I'll call it NGB).

Why blockchain? Because it secure! If you using a system, which controls vessel with few billions US Dollars onboard, your vessel MUST be protected from every part.
Physical security of vessel is easy of achieve - just put barbed wire and water jet blasters on ship's side, and she will sail safely. This practice is not overkill - this is recommendations from UKMTO for High Risk Area. Compiling to these recommendations helped to reduce piracy a lot.

But we are not talking about physical security here. Quite important to understand, that cybersecurity is much more important these days. Imagine situation, where you are ships owner and your fancy drone ship has hijacked with just a laptop, GPS spoofer and few lines of codes. Of course, you will be mad!

This is why, all commands from shore or onboard should be encrypted and logged. All radio signals should be cross-checked.
Usage of blockchain is just a small part of a giant development, which not just should, but must be done.

Otherwise, industry will stagnate or even worse.

I have some important news for you now!

1) Website is LIVE now! Currently it's in BETA state, and there really not so much info on it yet, but I'll keep constantly updating it (Sorry, we all have full-time jobs here)

2) We are currently working on listing our coin on exchanges. This will take some time, but we will try to finish this process ASAP! But you can help also. Spread the word about OrionCoin, vote for our coin anywhere, where you can.

3) Bounty campaign is still open. If you want to support us and receive ORIONs for it, check out first post!

4) Roadmap is coming tomorrow. My tablet just ran out of juice, and I forgot charging cable at work. Yes, it happens to everybody, so please stand by.

Actually, stuff, what we need costs a lot. And there is no price, compaired to human life.
Fast PC, servers, sensors, thermal-image cameras, lasers, gyro-stabilised platforms... They cost a lot.

Let me answer your question.
First of all,  we believe in a free market.  We can't control is directly, but we can stimulate it with our success. As in normal market.

What we are planning to do,  it to buy coins from market later. That way, we can increase its price without hurting it (artificial demand).
As soon, as Orion Navigation will make first product to the market, our capitalisation will increase. So that will make possible to take coins back.  
Will we dump them later? No,  because it will hurt us as well.  

We are thinking about OrionCoin 2.0 already, where we will try to implement this features,  but we are not ready to talk about it right now.

And,  probably, yes, we are the first.

As soon,  is a main project will go live,  we will buy this coin to increase its value. That way,  it's like on a real stock market
