501  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice Limits number of faucet claims in a day on: July 25, 2016, 08:58:27 PM
Faucet limitations have been in the making for a while now. I remember quite a few months back a bunch of users were banned from using the faucet (almost 2000 under correction). I was on that list as well but Edward asked one of the mods to give him a list of the regulars that are in chat so a few could be spared because they/we were active in the PD community. Fast Forward and here we are. IF stunna is cutting back on expenses to improve overall site performance then sure, go for it in my opinion though I'm thinking HufflePuff and that keke person might of dented the bankroll. Sure, stunna has millions as we often hear (joke) but at some point, they can only take so much cheating before the fountain dries up.

I do not really think faucet farmers are such a big deal. As was already mentioned, you would need a very lucky hit to increase those 200 satoshis the base* faucet gives up to the withdrawal minimum. No sane person would waste his days for 1 or 2 mBTC a day (you can get more by going out and searching for pennies in the streets). While they are not exactly a great contribution, they increase the site stats, which improves its image (IMO).

In my opinion 50 claims a day are OK, enough for anyone wanting to test the site or people wanting to play for free (with the hope of getting "free money").

* As far as I know the faucet starts increasing once the user has waggered 10 BTC, good luck doing that with the faucet only ... (I do not even have that much waggered on rollin and I deposit a few mBTC from time to time, plus I use a very conservative style of play).

It is a combination of everything I guess and people who faucet farm usually never chat and some people are selling and buying accounts for the higher faucet and where before they needed to make 50k first they can now just shift the faucet claims with ease. But people getting muted for claiming too much already happened for almost a year and since private tipping is introduced we can't see or know what is happening now.

And I agree, 50 claims a day is very reasonable. Smiley

So what's the faucet limit now? (not that I could win back 5Btc from 0.00004026 claims anyway).

I heard it from people in chat there's a limit now. Not very surprising after private tipping is introduced i guess, I was already wondering how many people would faucet farm these day.  Sad
Of course I could be wrong. Tongue
503  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you accept bitcoin as your salary? on: July 25, 2016, 11:07:12 AM
Nah some users here is accept it already because we know much members already participate in Signature Campaign that you will get BTC for your post, like me so yes I accept it.

Payouts from signature campaign are not too high so we cannot consider it as an salary its just taking care of our basic stuffs and it would be risky to accept salary in bitcoins.

I agree that payouts from signature campaign are not that really high it is just good to consider as part time income. But if my boss is going to pay me bitcoin as my salary, I'm going to think for it many times. Because the chance is 50/50 , 50% risky and 50% profitable.
As the price of bitcoin is not stable at all.

Yeah we cannot expect stable income from bitcoin as price keeps on moving up and down and if you accept salary in bitcoin then your earnings will depend on its price which can be very risky.

I agree with this, and a sidenote that no bank here would give me a loan, no credit card company would give a card and it would be impossible to rent a house and buying one with mortgage would be unwise and not accepted. It is just to early to introduce such a thing.

Is the twitter bounty out or not yet thank you.

No the twitter bounty hasn't been paid yet, my guess is that it will be this week. Just keep a eye on the google spreadsheet. Once that is updated with Valid entry, bounty amount and Bitsynq address the payments will be processed.

You mean seuntjies dicebot? As i read it correctly in his thread PD is still not available at this time.
You can ask questions about dicebot here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=307425.0
506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BITSYNQ] ~PRESALE ENDED~ [! ! P2P In Wallet Applications ! !] on: July 24, 2016, 10:16:43 AM
This coin is launched, correct? Already more then 1 week? and still no exchange? Why is dev not using the ICO money for listing on Bittrex or C-CEX, or Yobit. What is wrong here?

1 week is nothing, the bounties for signature and avatar are released just a few days ago, twitter bounties still needs to be paid, and then it wil take the next steps.

On Tuesday we will have a quick update to help secure the network and by the end of next week, we will have SynqCraft demo for testing
while we progress with our roadmap. We have sent a form to c-cex to add BitSynq to their voting list we will also look to get it on Yobit before
going on a Major Exchange. Thank you.

Just be patient and keep staking until it hits exchanges.  Smiley

Good projects are added in one or two days. People will lose interest in the coin if it doesn't hit a exchange within days.

Name the good projects and how did they fare?

ETH, LISK, DAO, to name a few.

The list of coins which came on exchanges very fast and crashed under the ICO price is much larger.

So far so good, staked 40 coins since ICO is over I'm very happy with that.
I think it's also a good thing the dev doesn't rush things to get the coin on a exchange, I recently also joined another ICO which came on exchanges like yobit and C-CEX in no time and it resulted in people with high amounts of coins dumping them far under the ICO price which was still running. The only reason I'd like to see it on a exchange is so I could buy some more at the early stages. Smiley

Just wait on stunna's explanation. He said the user exploited the site and would do his story later on.

Bets seem slower since most recent maintenance ...

Bets are slower for sure. Response time from PD3 (which was also slow) is down a lot. Will update with how many ms it went down exactly once I find the previous times saved somewhere on my desktop.

Might be the main problem with PD.

Bets are slow indeed. And that's really strange because the faster the bets the more they earn, I don't understand why they don't upgrade seriously the site for that. Because compared to betking or betcoin they're slow :/

OP has refused to answer me despite the fact that I have asked him multiple times here and on PD chat. Yes they could upgrade hardware/hosting, but they don't.. I've probably asked all dice site owners the same thing at some point in the past, and usually the answer is that it costs too much to upgrade, but those sites (FD, JD, FJ, Bitsler) roll speeds are overall a lot faster than PD. PD is certainly not low on funds if they can hold a 20BTC giveaway (bingo). Also this is a problem for most players on PD, or rather an annoyance.

Me ?
In my opinion, overall bets speeds on PD4 are much faster than PD3, especially if you disable the Animations.  The difficult thing about increasing bet speed even more, something Stunna has discussed several times in this thread, and people often forget, is that, it would be possible to increase bet speed, but highly costly.

Sure, other sites like Just-Dice and BetKing and whatever, have faster bets, but they have nowhere near the volume of bets PD does.  Primedice has close to 12 Billion bets made, with Millions made each day, those other sites have only a fraction of the bet volume.

Upgrading hardware to increase bet speed is already costly, but due to the sheer number of bets that PD processes per day, it would most likely be extremely expensive, if not completely cost ineffective.

More bets = more wagered = more profit then other sites as well.

Why is this left out the equation?

Let me know if this persists.

Yes Stunna, it's still persisting .. Been persisting for many months now.

Since PD is not a professional managed site we cannot complain about all this I think, we just give our money to guys who are making millions with their hobby and hope on the best outcome.
p.s. If PD is really a full-time job for any of the devs, than I'm sorry but your performance is horrible.

I fully agree, if i did my job 5 times better than the PD devs i would still get fired.

I still visit the site every now and then just because i knew some people there and share some tips with them, but i've been taking my coins to other sites for a while now (even before the current horrible changes). The weirdest thing is that only the front-end has changed a lot and not the backend (as it seems) still they managed to screw that up as well which seems a bit odd.

So did he paid you 40 coins already or not?
Is it still under investigation or are the rest of the 40 coins also released?
And if you claim you deposited more then 0.01, how much was it then?
And did you got muted by a mod, or got a message a Admin muted you?

 Undecided

yes, i didnt get rest 40, it was btw 1 to 5, 3-4 times done deposit, i didnt get any msg just "u muted"

Well if you got a 'you muted' message this usually means one of the Mods muted you and not one of the Admins, and the mods are volunteers. (i could be wrong with last changes of the site) I don't know how you behaved in chat, but maybe you know this yourself.

I hope for you everything will be quickly solved and you get all your coins, at least you can have a nice dinner with the 40 you already have. Smiley

Good luck.
