1024  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dragon's Tale - a Massively Multiplayer Online RPG/Casino on: May 24, 2013, 05:05:24 AM
I just tried it for the first time yesterday, pretty cool game. The movement takes some getting used to though. In the first minute I went to go walk on the mountains and got stuck and couldn't get down because I kept walking into an invisible wall! I think there needs to be a way to define more clearly where you can walk and not get stuck, or have a mechanism that lets you get out of a jam. Other than that though the game is really cool, and I'm still learning about all the games. Sometimes the server is a bit of a ghost town though, or people don't talk. There really is almost nothing like Dragon's Tale though, really fun experience so far.

This might be interesting to you too 420---Nicolas Rapp spent a year trying to drive around the world and documented everything http://transworldexpedition.com/ it's pretty neat.

"In the summer of 2009, Nicolas Rapp decided to take a break from his Art Director job at The Associated Press to attempt a one-year overland travel around the world in a 1996 Toyota Land Cruiser. He was back in New York in February 2011 after traveling 15 months and 37,000 miles."
1027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting Picks on: May 23, 2013, 08:36:41 AM
I'm really interested in what's your method of making your picks? I've tried doing sports betting (mainly just NFL for fun) but it seems it can be just brutally random sometimes.
1028  Other / Archival / Re: NitrogenSports.com Bitcoin SportsBook: Best interface & odds, parlays! on: May 12, 2013, 12:44:43 AM
Having the same problem, just was trying this book out and my bitcoin account is not coming up with anything but a blank page tonight. Hope it gets fixed soon! Overall I have had a good experience at nitrogen, I imagine they're on top of whatever the issue is.

1031  Economy / Gambling / Re: The unprofessional look to sites on: February 20, 2013, 04:39:26 AM
My thought on the matter is that you can't polish a turd. I'd rather have good betting options with a reliable system that has reasonably fast payouts than an awesome looking but less functional site. Craigslist isn't so popular because of its design, but rather what you can do on it. Same thing with a restaurant: I don't care if it looks crummy outside if when I go in they make a great pizza pie. I believe a ton of new gambling sites using bitcoin need to fully flesh out their features/optimize their system before worrying about looks... but, hey, looking good doesn't hurt.
1032  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: February 19, 2013, 01:19:08 AM
I was able to play a few hourly free rolls on SealsWithClubs for the first time yesterday--I think this site is great and definitely will play here again in the future.
1033  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bit365.eu - Reduced Juice BTC Sports Betting - No Registration - Fast Payouts on: February 18, 2013, 05:31:22 PM
How long does bit365 take to grade esports usually? I placed a small 0.02 bet on 3d!clan to beat roxkis in dota2, which was over quickly in 20 minutes when 3d won: http://www.joindota.com/en/matches/44039-rox-kis-vs-3dclan

[update]
Great, I was paid out only after only a few hours from the match end time. I can vouch for bit365 as being a good place to wager on esports. They've Starcraft2 and DOTA2, I wish they also offered CS:GO a la hltv.org but I understand getting odds for esports probably isn't that easy. https://blockchain.info/tx/8fe046e51a7f8ce4ad84a24cc17a3f455a99ad0f13662bcf93e0d1fb311e8c37
1034  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Announcing BitcoinGet.com - New site to get FREE bitcoins on: February 12, 2013, 10:10:43 AM
I too have tried the site and found it didn't credit anything after watching the videos (I watched all of them individually, and even went back to the site an hour later). For now you're better off doing other things for free bitcoins until it is fixed.

Thanks portnoy for keeping this list, i'd like to try the lotto as well.

I tried http://www.bitcoin-services.co.uk/ and have a bunch of "pending" notices next to completions. Anyone else here who's tried the site, about how long until they approve offers?

The more I've learned about bitcoin related topics the more paranoid I've become in general about the world. Coincidence?
1037  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are ASIC's worth the investment? on: February 10, 2013, 10:13:28 PM
I am thinking about buying a BFL Jalapeno, but just for fun. In my eyes the lower ASIC models like the Jalapeno don't seem to be worth the investment, but the higher powered models seem like they will at least break even over time. I mean, if you have the disposable income, why not?

I haven't tried Satoshi Roulette yet, but I get the impression it's like entering a state lottery. I won't go in with any expectation of making much of anything back!
