381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Success factors of a project on: October 28, 2019, 12:17:35 PM
Financial support isn't enough. You must also have a good team that updates your peers every now and then, else your project will not get enough attention from the masses and might get foiled easily. The competition for the altcoin markets is always cut-throat, and even if you have loads of budget for your project, if it's not used correctly into something that really matters then it's a dire effort plus wasted money.

Usually a project that gains much exposure and positive reception are those who are good in marketing plus innovative features of the project. You don't necessarily need to have bounty campaigns that pay top dollar, just enough things to get your word out and an approachable team for that matter.

These things are already given when you are planning to start a project, without these things and you dare entering the market without proper executions is like you are executing yourself. In my opinion, in order for a project to stand out amongst so many projects clashing in the market, you need to be more exquisite than you could ever be, you have to surpass the limits of other projects, and those given factors you have mentioned will play a huge role for that, especially big funds.

Money move people (in a good way or bad way), that is why it is important as a leader of a project, you have to have a big amount of cash to hire smart people who could support you on making your project successful.
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: don't rely on gift tokens, balance your time with other things. on: October 28, 2019, 09:33:44 AM
Airdrops nowadays are nothing but pure of trash coins, like what OP said, you'll wait until it's going to be listed on an exchange (forkdelta) most of the time, and the price is not that big, for you to hold and sell it when the time comes, you'll just become a bag holder full of shit coins. In the year 2017 based on my experience, dark ethereum gave me a lot of profits, for free, yes, for free.

but since it became a trend like ICOs, airdrops slowly lower their giveaways and those who are giving giveaways are mostly those projects thst turned out scam in the end.
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people easily get scammed on the internet? on: October 27, 2019, 09:20:02 PM
Scammer's choose their victim base on his knowledge about a certain thing, my guess was you've been scammed or could easily get scam the way you spell out things, no offense but it's one of the weaknesses that someone could have, if you can't understand English well or only knows a few terms then you would have a rough time understanding what others are saying.

Let's give a scenario as an example, if you're interested in a certain project (ICO/IEO) and you want to invest your money in their, but you didn't know that the scammer was just toying you because he notice that you're bad at English, then you're screwed.
384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can't survive alone on: October 25, 2019, 05:11:21 PM
Reading your title is somehow looks very obsessed about bitcoin success (in a bad way though), altcoins are not that bad but the whole point of this discussion is about bitcoin itself, altcoins would have never been here without bitcoin's existence, altcoins was just a small part of Bitcoin technology that's been derived by developer's of it, there is nothing so much to brag about altcoins (mostly shit coins)

Bitcoin alone can survive and take all the spotlight it needs to be successfully get its mass adaptation in no time.
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When Is The Right Time To Trade Your Tokens on: October 23, 2019, 01:02:45 PM
I usually sell my tokens when their prices are doubled compare to their ICO prices, that's a sign for me that I should grab the opportunity to make profits cause it may change in any second, final decisions is always depends on what you want, what price you want, and how much profit you want, it's called "satisfaction".
386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You own a decent amount of Bitcoin, How would you increase it on: October 22, 2019, 06:03:10 PM
In case you are getting bored in holding your funds in your wallet, why not do this:

- turn some of your bitcoins in fiat
- start even a small business, and if it is gets better make it big
- when you're earning big, invest some of your profits in cryptocurrency

and yes, you're not bored anymore, but remember to have a plan when you're going to start a business, don't let your bitcoin go to waste for nothing.
387  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC, why do some people just get it, others really don't? on: October 22, 2019, 05:09:44 PM
In my experience its seems that

[1] some people seem to just "get" btc almost as soon as they are introduced to it,

[2]  others simply don't or

[3] become hostile without understanding BTC tech.

[4] Become hostile and do understand the tech.

The demarcation lines seem to me quite stark. Any theories as to why this is?

(I understand [5] those who just don't get it or are not interested, )

Yes the only explanation that I could think of is number 5,
People who doesn't really like it or not interested in one thing would always be closed minded person .
They wouldn't get it no matter how much you explain it to them if they doesn't like it then it would just be worthless.

We cannot just make them open their mouth (in a brute force) and put the hot food into their mouth, they will just throw it out.

there are certains individuals, or should I say the majority of the crowd in the society we are in, are not intertested in something unbelievable, and cryptocurrency is one of the examples of that. Bitcoin is the most biggest coins we could introduced to someone, but once we start explaining it, they will start to be confuse and will not take it in into their system, but the problem is not on us, it is on them.
388  Other / Meta / Re: Some good users awakened by Yobit on: October 22, 2019, 04:32:01 PM
Earned-merits or trust points are not determinant factors for post quality of posters. They are only one of componental factors and they serve as supplementary inclusive factors for poster's quality assessment. Generally, to assess post quality of one user, readers have to consider lots of things:
Earned merit would be at the very top of the list when assessing someone's post quality. Earned merits means more than total merit as a lot of users got free merit for having over a certain amount of activity. In fact, I would think that a lot of users here disregard total amount of merit, and look at how much the user has earned in the last 120 days. Of course, is is combined with taking a look at their post history personally, but is normally the #1 indicator that someone is posting good quality content.

Very well said, it doesn't matter whoever user it is and if he didn't receive any merit since the merit system has been implemented, as long as he is posting good quality stuffs, merits would be on his way. The position in this forum, the green trust, and all of his merits would only come in second.
389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how i can protect offline wallet ? on: October 22, 2019, 03:32:45 PM
Offline wallet does not mean safe from thieves, they do everything they can to satisfy their depraved appetite. I've also experienced it, I was almost frustrated, because the only way to avoid it is to maintain the privacy of the private key, don't let others know ... that's all, and don't easily click on any links from strangers .

It is safe, unless they are going to force you to give them your private keys personally, I can't think of any ways on how someone could stole your coins in an offline wallet, that's mysterious, and can you please tell the whole story to let me get your point, that'll be much appreciated and we could easily give our opinions on what you are going to do next time to protect your offline wallet.

Warning: Human errors are futile to resist
390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's acceptance in the World on: October 22, 2019, 03:07:09 PM
There are ways to do so that even if you accept bitcoin you wont end up losing. The strategy is to use a wallet wherein there is bitcoin to dollar conversion, possibly an app. An app which shows both buy and sell value. Here in the Philippines we usually use coins.ph and when merchants accepts bitcoin payments those bitcoin will be converted to peso once it entered coins.ph. It is very user friendly but its just that people are more on using fiat currency and that is why though this app has a good feature for merchants only a handful of merchants are using it.

That doesn't change the fact that they are going to lose their thier profits in Bitcoin, I got your point but my point here is, if someone buys a product on a company that cost 10 BTC (let's just say), then it is going to take some time before the company could receive it, and bitcoin's price could either go up or go down in that time where confirming transactions to receive that 10 BTC, lucky for that company if it goes up, but what if its goes down, it is not the problem if they are going to hold it (I wish they would)

But companies will not do that because they need funds on making their products, and they can't risk it on using bitcoin as a payment as of now, maybe later (when the Government implemented it nationwide).
391  Economy / Economics / Re: Paper Money - The Greatest Scam on: October 22, 2019, 02:13:41 PM
crypto and fiat should be mutually supportive rather than knock each other down.

This should be the right way, but our concerns here in about fiat, fiat is not in a good shape anymore because of its monetary policies, as you could see, many countries are suffering because of their economy facing poverty and one of the reasons is inflation, fiat losing its price slowly means the economy and country is at a great risk, one of the example for that is the country of Venezuela.

So, cryptocurrency is to the rescue, good thing is if the Government of a certain country will adopt bitcoin and forgot this being a low selfish idiotic mindset that the other Government have.
392  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining in the cloud vs simply buying bitcoin on: October 22, 2019, 01:23:13 PM
Most of the cloud mining site that are available now are just pure scam. They are just HYIP or some other ponzie scam. If you ask them to show some proof that they are actually mining something or their mining rigs, they won't be able to do so or they might just show you some fake mining farm. Most of them are fake because cloud mining is no longer profitable and the just are running a ponzie scheme in the name of mining.
I would rather suggest you to buy bitcoin and just hold it.

The funniest thing here is that they still have too many victims, people are easily get pranked when they start seeing the high mining rates, thought it was legit, after that they will invest their money out of their sanity on it hoping to mine even more per minute or per hour. You could instantly spot if a cloud mining site is legit is if their mining rates are not too good to be true, not like those over the chart mining rates that is so unbelievable true.

Trying to withdraw your funds in the first place and wait to receive it on your wallet could be also the other way to check if it was just some scam or not, if it is pending for days, then forget it, no doubt that is scam.
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many ICO / altcoin scams? on: October 21, 2019, 05:40:04 PM
Absolutely, everyone should think of security and safety first when venturing into cryptocurrency. Don't be deceived by many projects that claim to be real or have good team, extensive research must be carried out by anyone who wants to succeed in this space.

Like you will see it coming, lol.

Scammers won't tell you that they are going to scam you, you'll back out for sure, and everybody else, that is the reason why they use all of their wit to get your trust for you to invest on them, give them wealth, then they will run at the end, too classic.
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: stick to the same option or switch to another option? on: October 21, 2019, 04:05:05 PM
Is crypto included in the ponzi scheme to get rich quickly?
in most cases I have observed why people rush to get short profits, this is not a good way. I mean the decisions they make are not based on common sense.

This is not what you think, if you think that crypto can become rich overnight, you don't need to bother avoiding investment risks. You only need to focus on crypto investments that you think can make you rich.

but unfortunately the market says it's different, there is no way to get quick profits & all you have to do is how you can survive in this market. between a fixed choice with the same option or switch with another option.

Yes, cryptocurrency is included in ponzi schemes, but don't come up to conclusion that it could make you rich, scammers are just using the reputation of cryptocurrency to make it convincing to the crowd. The real Cryptocurrency doesn't have any of characteristics that a Ponzi Scheme has, and there's no people included in it, just Cryptocurrency itself, alone, that will gives you profit in the long run.

You could be rich overnight in cryptocurrency, but it will take some time before that "overnight" comes.
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To bounty hunters & investors on: October 21, 2019, 02:40:21 PM
For Bounty Hunters
Are there bounties that pays hunter good rewards this year?

I don't know, I find it out myself by trying and not just asking if there is, all of the time. It is very disappointing and upsetting because of the sudden growth of scam ICOs and IEOs population, it seems that they took it literally, we're really becoming "bounty hunters". It is also discouraging in a way, finding too many of this you thought good project but it bites you after you take care of it.

I've been experienced that before and I decided to take some rest on bounty hunting, "good ICOs" are too decieving that it looks like a real one.
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not trust New wallets with your fund on: October 21, 2019, 11:38:18 AM
There is nothing wrong with the new wallets, you just have to check the reviews, how many people use their app, to confirm if they are legit or not. Not all new wallets are scams and money disappearing wallet, just be responsible on choosing one.
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Adoption Over Bull Run on: October 21, 2019, 08:03:00 AM
Like a thread I recently visited, demand should take priority. Adoption and demand goes hand in hand. It will make the bull run blow even more epic in proportions.

We cannot force it to happen, that's not going to work for us that way, our continues support and the slowly mass adoption that is happening will do the magic. Instead of rushing this mass adoption, why not persuade other people by making fortune out of cryptocurrency and let it be your voice to reach them, someday, soon enough, they will turn themselves in cryptocurrency, it might take some time but it will be all worth it.
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What can make more profit ? on: October 21, 2019, 06:28:26 AM
What you think more profit, participate in IEO or wait after IEO and buy the token from exchanges?

Waiting after is always safer than riding the hype of an IEO or ICO, getting too much excited will just put you in madness, cursing all day thinking what have you done wrong. Scam IEO are shift into a regular one nowadays, they are too confident and it's not a good news, therefore waiting for the right time to buy to know if they are true or not is the best move you could do.
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ideas - dead cryptos on: October 20, 2019, 07:24:50 PM
What dead crypto currencies do you know?

A lot, I can't even keep up, I wish for the other companies that will develop a coin, please make sure that you could back it up because you are wasting our time hoping for something wouldn't come.

What are the possibilities for crypto currencies that almost can't be exchanged any more?

To be honest, we can't do anything about it (unless you'll volunteer to develop it and put a price on it), we just have to forget them.

Do you have any ideas how to make money on big amounts of abandoned cryptos?

Don't bother asking, trash should be put on the garbage can and let the time mourn their deaths, I mean, why waste time on something that is not going to come back to life anymore, that is pure time waster. Let's continue to look forward and support those coins that are still alive and kicking in the market.
400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how i can protect offline wallet ? on: October 20, 2019, 06:39:51 PM
my friends lost his coins from offline wallet when he was chatting online on facebook messenger
sure he can't restore his coin
so how can protect offline wallet ?

If he lost his coins in an offline wallet, then chatting online is not connected on what happened, I guess he printed out his private key and someone stole it (maybe) or he accidentally put it on the garbage he throwed outside, then a certain person got curious about it and didn't waste the chance to steal those coins (lucky for that person) whoever got his coins.

That was odd because I am using also an offline wallet for years already but I didn't lost any of my coins, probably just a human error, in your friend's case.

E D I T: Please elaborate the situation, be more specific.
