Your reward will show when a block is found, i'm working in better info/stats for the miners btw. Yay I only mined 0.5 BTE so far the pool starts out slow and gradually increases. also it continues to pay out for quite a while after you stop mining. That's a really nice thing about p2pool, you get paid even after you stop mining! It just takes a bit to ramp up to your full payout at first. Huh, I didn't know that was a P2Pool server too, I guess there isn't much diversity in the world of bytecoin pools then Oh, it may not be a P2Pool server, it sure sounds like one from the description of the payouts, though. My pool ( http://limitedloot.org:6327 *is* a P2Pool, btw.

I used Qt-Creator to make bytecoin-qt for ubuntu 12.10, if anyone wants to use my compiled version it is at: http://d-h.st/Hb7

This is 'Yet Another Bytecoin p2pool Node', so the same problems apply; as in "No, GuiMiner will not mine correctly on LimitedLoot.org." Please use CGminer, DiabloMiner or whatever other miner works to mine at the pool. The first few people to start mining must have gotten upto 50,000 each and are holding on to em. Not a premine, but it's not exactly good distribution either. It presents just the same dangers to the currency.
Not everybody has all day to click refresh on the crypto board or have a nudge from someone. There was something like a 12-24 hour window and that was that.
It was a premine, Bryan Mills "Maria2.0" started mining hours before announcing. If that's true, he only managed to score lessthan 10,000 BTE during those hours of premining. I doubt most of the first 10,000 coins were even part of a premine, since I was a couple hours late to the mining party, yet my first block was only the 185th to be found.

No premine
No premine but network started with difficulty 1 and was announced to public few hours later. Check block explorer to see how many coins were made in those few hours. There was premine, period. Unfortunately, there was not a single cryptocoin which wasn't premined or contributed to miners much less than developers or early adopters. All the coins we have now are pure shit. I'm still waiting for a fair cryptocoin, announced months in advance, starting difficulty 10k or more, up to date with technology. When I started mining Bytecoins there were fewer than 200 blocks mined, and I'm sure that most of those were found by other miners like me who simply managed to download and setup their clients a bit faster than the rest of the crowd. There was no premine, so if you missed out on difficulty 1 you have no one to blame but yourself.

Okay, only because I'm hard up for bitcoins, I'll bid 1,000 BTE. I will accept this offer unless a better one is made. Brie is the highest bidder! 1100 1150 We already did the trade for 1000 BTE. Here's the tx info: Status: 568 confirmations, broadcast through 6 nodes Date: 4/4/2013 19:02 To: Psybits 8KoQVzKyPdQnTsjBnimHk3Yznd81uEJTim Debit: -1000.00 BTE Net amount: -1000.00 BTE Transaction ID: 39256742a4ebe9ef25bc453848dbaa9109084882bb13111cf06b96d21c943606

Don't mean to hijack the thread but as Byte-Gox requested via PM my BTE address is 8KoQVzKyPdQnTsjBnimHk3Yznd81uEJTim
Sending 0.1 BTC to Byte-Gox as soon as BTE is received!
Not to further hijack the thread but are we still on for the 1000 BTE?

The answer is decentralization. If there are many, many pools, then good luck knocking them all down at the same time.

I made a similar topic last night and was recommended to start my own p2pool node. So I did, and I'm making more here than on any "real" pool.
Would you mind sharing your node info? Thanks. Do you mean the IP and Port or the actual configuration? The IP and Port.

WTF? I thought OP would get around 3-4k with 0.5k
That's about right. These guys are just trying to inflate the price - it's only been around for a few days guys! Any REASONABLE offers will be accepted Not inflating the price. last known trade was @ 0.001 btc/bte.

I've been pool mining since the jump to 256 difficulty, but as an experiment I solo mined until I hit a difficulty 1024 block. It took a bit under 3 hours mining @ 400Mh/s...

LOL, I offer 425.
Think I'll wait for a better offer. Thanks anyway! Not upping the bid too much, but I'll offer 500. Take it or leave it!~

I have 25,000 Bytecoins. I'm only showing off as I'm not selling them.
Nice, what's your hashrate?
