nice, jumped right in. Cheesy lucky number. you might want to add an own [ANN] thread for your pool, I don't think people are reading this thread anymore and have given up on this coin outside of CHina
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple XRP to go open source on Sept 26 ! (UPDATE - already up 30% and climbing) on: September 16, 2013, 07:48:53 PM
so the only way for me to buy ripple with BTC is to boot into linux and build the client myself...?

164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MCXNOW Accounts are getting Hacked!! Withdraws And Trading SUSPENDED! on: September 16, 2013, 07:12:18 AM
and if you use that same password on ebay and amazon at least 5 helicopters may have been bought using your credit card
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LK7] Lucky7Coin - PoW/PoS, BonusBlock based on your lucky 7s! |No Premine on: September 16, 2013, 07:09:33 AM
at three connections now. thanks! however like you guys said - with this hashrate thrown at it (probably by the creator from china) it is inherently pointless to mine with a single standard rig from outside china. Sad
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MCXNOW Accounts are getting Hacked!! Withdraws And Trading SUSPENDED! on: September 16, 2013, 07:03:04 AM
well if you use a site to deposit tons of BTC for interest and did not pick a unique password and use the google authenticator app, it's just your own damn fault. hasn't got much to do with hacking. that's just plain retarded.

well can more people post their connections please?
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LK7] Lucky7Coin - PoW/PoS, BonusBlock based on your lucky 7s! |No Premine on: September 16, 2013, 05:56:04 AM
yeah, explains why nobody here gets coins, why it's released without any preannounce at some unfavorable time, and why I don't get any connections to the network. Cheesy anyone outside china can provide an addnode?

supersonicboom has a group buy open for the blades at 3.6 BTC each. however it's US only. will asicminer-shop.de follow? :O
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Official AnonCoin thread - Client Update!! (Native I2P, TOR nodes) on: September 15, 2013, 08:52:38 PM
@FinShaggy

Stop posting the same shit over and over in every single thread.

If this coin doesn't have an alternative for people that can't mine, just say so. No need for senseless hostility.

I think the hostility came from the fact that you were using two posts instead of one across severall coin threads for posting the exact same thing. But maybe someone can in fact post some bounties for you. Who knows. But usually the alternative to mining is plain old buying - just invest your energy elsewhere where you actually get paid, the internet or altcoin forum usually pays you pennies just like scam sites where you view youtube videos or click ad links for 0,00001 cents. I'd rather think of money in terms of time invested and get some money elsewhere and invest it in anoncoin if I were you.
172  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Fastest USB miner in the world. 2.5 gh/s on: September 15, 2013, 03:40:26 PM
http://www.amazon.co.uk/D-Link-DUB-H7-Port-USB-External/dp/B0002AFZVM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1379259424&sr=8-1&keywords=dlink+hub+7

but that's only 5 ports, so while you are correct we would save some money over the anker hub, it's only around 8-10%. And when buying lots of block erupters you will have far less cable clutter and "hubs in hubs in hubs in hubs" with the ankers.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Offerings to Cthulhu - Now Worshipping. on: September 15, 2013, 01:59:03 AM
Added all 4 addnodes, restarted, still 0 connections 10 minutes later, this is a sad day for the darkness.

Offering.conf

addnode=50.81.60.87
addnode=69.85.86.195
addnode=68.5.35.115
addnode=24.7.226.120
rpcallowip=*
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass
gen=0
server=1
daemon=1
listen=1

sure the .conf filename is correct?
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Offerings to Cthulhu - Now Worshipping. on: September 15, 2013, 01:50:12 AM
no words on the premine?

Also, what is this sci fi exchange?
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Primecoin to be added to BTC-E Exchange. on: September 14, 2013, 08:31:43 PM
So far there are positive signs that leads us to think that this is more than a rumor.

176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: .net Sharp Miner open source c# cpu scrypt miner! on: September 14, 2013, 06:24:09 PM
thanks, I got it to run, the x86 version was apparently missing. I can mostly do python but I don't think anything but C / C++ can be fast enough for efficient mining? Your program reports huge jumping hashrates, but actually I mostly saw 7-21 kh/s reported in multipool's interface while pooler's cpuminer does around 100 kh/s. (i7 4770k @ 4.2 GHz)

but then again, it's still a prototype
177  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Fastest USB miner in the world. 2.5 gh/s on: September 14, 2013, 02:06:55 PM
Hello, I think the far lower power cost than block erupters also makes them attractive as a novelty item in countries where electricity actually costs money.

I was thinking about buying one, but I heard somewhere that I need those exact same 19-slot-Hubs (which I can only find on chinese websites where I have to inquire for the price) to run them. Is that correct? I cannot simply plug them into my notebook directly or into the anker hub next to my block erupters? that would defeat the purpose of an USB miner stick so I hope it's wrong information.

I know this is a sales hread but I read through the whole information thread and found no definitive information - and I think buyers would want to know Cheesy
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: .net Sharp Miner open source c# cpu scrypt miner! on: September 14, 2013, 03:52:35 AM
of course there is always interest - but although I'm fairly knowledgeable about neuroinformatics and machine learning, I don't know enough about cryptography to understand where you want to apply them. I thought results were truly random and there is nothing to be "learned".

for me, your program won't stop spamming https://i.imgur.com/cop0jII.png

.bat looks like this:

179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [MΣC] Megacoin.co.nz - Fork Recall, Halt Mining..Stay Tuned. on: September 13, 2013, 02:45:35 AM

180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [MΣC] Megacoin.co.nz - Mandatory Fork, Update Now on: September 12, 2013, 07:52:32 PM
actually I also didn't find too much information on it apart from the fact that it's gravity and tractor beams pulling in megacoin logos. It's good if everyone who knows what he's doing has a look at the code, although at this point we can't do much more than wait how it will turn out. If I look at that sourcecode it looks like fruit loops to me so I'm definitely worthless for that task. Cheesy
