MiniRig Line:Concerned
Via Jody's blog, we can conclude the minirig line made ZERO progress from roughly August 15th until today. It seems ONE 500 GH/s unit has been completed since then (as seen on Jody's Update yesterday). If only one 500 GH/s unit has been completed since the 15th, which is 8 days...How, at ONE 500 GH/s unit EVERY 8 DAYS, will BFL ever complete the backlog?

If BFL is purposely slowing the Minirig line, to force big-money investors to switch their investment to the Monarch line, this would be very troubling.

I welcome BFL to clarify why this line, which so much money has been dumped into by customers, is moving so slowly...Neglect, lack of coordination, or fraud?

Also, since I have 1.5 TH/s to my order...Can I assume, at one 500GH/s rig every 8 days, my order will take 24 DAYS to build and fulfill?

Thanks for your time

PS: I'm not an angry troll, I've invested in the Minirig line and I'm extremely concerned at the lack of progress. And seemingly no effort to correct it..

Are no other MiniRig purchasers as concerned as I am?

I'm very concerned and have not too much hope that any of the Minirigs will pay back. Our only chance would be a refund, maybe we should see how we can work together to get our money back?

I have a minirig order from March of 2013. They have refused my refund. I am going to pursue legal action with a very good friend who was an attorney at Federman & Sherwood for 5 years and recently took a better job. This case is exactly their bread and butter. If you have been refused a refund and are interested in your legal options, please PM me.

Thanks.

POWER RESULTS

Ok. We plugged the minirig into a 20 amp 120v circuit that is rated for 100% utilization.

The results were that the minirig was using no less than 17 amps and would use up to 20 amps. The breaker does not trip but I am sure we are getting close to the edge.

If you take the high side of these results, aka, all boards pulling full wattage at the same time, the result is that you should plan for 2,400 watts for each 500Gh/s unit.

This works out to 4.5 watts per Gh/s plus overhead for all fans.

Please remember that this is being pulled from 2 PSUs so you could plug a minirig in at home on two seperate 15 amp 120v circuits.

You would just need to figure out how to deal with 2,400 watts of heat.  Smiley
Can the 12 ton HVAC handle two more 500Gh/s units?

I'm guessing since a ton of A/C can effectively get rid of 12,000 BTU and a watt is roughly 3.41 BTU, 2400 watts * 3.41 BTU = 8184 BTUs, and he can get rid of 144,000 BTU a day, his system should be able to handle them.

5  Economy / Computer hardware / 384 BFL ASIC chip coupons ($25 off $75) for sale [ESCROW] on: June 16, 2013, 01:46:21 AM
Hi all,

I have 384 BFL ASIC chip coupons for sale. Each chip normally costs $75 but with these coupons you can buy them for $50 each, until the coupons run out (One coupon per chip up to 384 chips).

That means these chips cost $28,800 normally. With my coupons they cost $19,200. That means you save $9,600!

I am willing to sell for $5 per coupon (save $20 per coupon you buy!).

In other words, I am selling coupons worth $9,600 for $1,920.

I will take BTC or other payment methods. Escrow is possible, buyers pay escrow fees. John K. is the escrow of choice.

More info at BFL forums: https://forums.butterflylabs.com/announcements/3272-customer-appreciation-chip-credit-program.html

Thanks,
VVI

7  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs Ships For Real This Time? Also to sell ASICs direct in bulk? on: June 06, 2013, 12:18:20 PM
Yes, shipped to those that ordered before July 3rd 2012. Almost year-old orders.

As of yesterday they said they've shipped out jalapeños up to July 20, 2012. Picking up steam!
Wow, almost 11 months behind. Hoo Hoo.
[/quote

Well, considering they shipped 2 1/2 weeks of pre-orders in one day, they might actually catch up soon!

9  Economy / Goods / Re: Original KnCMiner Order #58! Use for any miner! price: 1BTC on: June 04, 2013, 11:28:59 PM
I'm sorry it is already sold as of 5 minutes ago. You would be paying 1BTC to be the 58th person in line in a queue that is now several thousand deep. Then you pay kncminer for the miner you want and get it as the 58th person in the world to get it.

For the community, I made business with veryveryinteresting and I definitely recommend him due to his professionalism and attitude!

Thanks, bobsmoke! I also recommend bobsmoke for quick payment and easy communication.

Darn!  Wish you'd seen my request for this very deal 2 days ago.

Sorry, I didn't. I just made the decision not to buy last night after talking with my wife about the Mars miner being canceled. Sorry!

so what do I pay the 1btc for? And how much will it be for both?

Hi all,

I signed up originally with KnCMiner. This pre-order level allows you to purchase a single miner of either type (Saturn or Jupiter) within the next 6 days and your order will be the 58th on shipped.

www.kncminer.com

That's right, first batch shipping.

I registered because I wanted to buy a Mars device and then use the voucher to pay later on a Jupiter but they cancelled the Mars and are jumping straight to Saturn and Jupiter.

I can't do that. I want to sell it quickly for 1BTC. PM me for personal info to confirm with KnC that I do indeed control #58.

Thanks.

How much is the miner? Im interested how many mhash

They sell two, check them out at www.kncminer.com. There are also two large threads in the Custom Hardware section of BTCtalk.

Saturn: 175GH/s
Jupiter: 350GH/s

I have two people interested, trying the transfer with the first. If it falls through I will try with the second. If that falls through I will post here again.
13  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KNCMiner Sell order# on: June 04, 2013, 05:17:43 PM
Your place is only worth something if you have already paid.
The order you'll get your unit is determined by when you send them money - so... if you have not paid, then a number from a contact form doesn't have much value.  Undecided

Hi, Actually this is NOT true

We will open up the order books soon and give everyone a chance to pay for their preorder (7 days), We will then ship them based on the preorder registration number, not when the order was paid for

as long as the order is paid for within the 7 days we will honor the queue placement. if you pay on day 8 you will simply enter the queue from the back

I hope this helps

if you do sell your order number all I will need is an email from both parties and I will do the rest, they will get your queue placement. it can’t however be for more than your registered amount of boxes and we will not split preorders into multiplies

Sam@kncminer.com

It is unfair. shipping order should base for the time of payment.

Actually it is quite fair. We told them we were interested in buying KnC's miners in order for them to help secure the contract with ORSoC. You weren't around? Too bad, we were and we pre-ordered.

Lastly, I am selling my pre-order for 1BTC at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=225372.msg2370435.

I wanted a Mars device and a Jupiter and now they aren't selling a Mars, so I want to put my money elsewhere.

I have a lot of talking numbers, but my pc is down stairs,  and I'm not hearing down there until my for apps throbbing. I'll get them out to you all after i rest a bit.

Great. Thanks Arklan!

Also, this is a response to requests from customers on their forum to be able to upgrade for an additional $100. It didn't come from BFL to begin with.

However, whether those customers on the forum were BFL employees or not I don't know.

Please downsize my order to two from the three I said previously. Checked my BTC, don't have as much as I remembered.

Should we go ahead and follow John's instructions for payment?
