Just don't purchase digital goods which can very easily be spoofed and have random keys/text and you should be fine.
82  Other / New forum software / Re: Can we "Like" a post? on: December 21, 2017, 04:43:29 PM
I don't know if this was thought about yet, but couldn't there be some type of implementation of an algorithm to say that if there was a mass of likes/upvotes or dislikes/downvotes within a given timeframe that the moderator for that particular board has to verify when it comes to the reputation?

Do you mean that if a post gained a certain amount of dislikes then it could be put up for review for the moderators to remove? I mean that could work but I think if the post infringed a rule then someone would of reported it.

Just because a post is disliked by the majority doesn't mean they aren't expressing a legitimate opinion.
83  Other / Off-topic / Re: Real bad performance when hooked up to 4k TV on: November 26, 2017, 02:27:13 PM
Well, refresh rate and response time is a thing, and there's this ''4k'' shit that actually isnt 4k at all, most of the 4k screens probably has 40hz on it thats why they are so cheap.

I don't use a cheap TV.

The answer is a 4k tv will not be the same as a dedicated PC monitor reason the monitor has specific refresh rates to run on any GPU that is why if you will buy a PC hardware specially a GPU you should still consider what kind of monitor you will use because using a low end monitor with high end GPU will be a waste of money because of the refresh rate of the monitor.

This is false. 60hz is perfectly fine for gaming. I have a 4k TV and it brings 1080Ti to its knees.
Also, TVs that support Chroma 444 are just as good as non professional monitors. And by professional monitors I mean those specifically made for perfect color accuracy for photographers etc.

My 1080TI on 4k resolution is perfect and I get a steady 60fps when it's capped to that on every game I've tried. The temperatures do get higher than if plugged into another monitor though.
84  Other / Off-topic / Re: How I wish our electricity charge is not that expensive! on: November 26, 2017, 02:25:50 PM
If it's available to you then putting yourself on a meter can sometimes make electricity more affordable by not having to pay a fixed fee. Of course if you are mining then its a different story and you will be using too much to save on a meter.
85  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: bitcoinrush.io takes your btc if a faucet player and get a withdrawal cancelled on: November 26, 2017, 02:12:26 PM
That reply you sent you is so rude. It's certainly a scam and hopefully this will stop other members getting scammed. Like kools said if they can't honor their faucet which is peanuts they won't be able to cover anything else.
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: once all bitcoins are mined on: November 26, 2017, 02:10:37 PM
Our generation doesn't have to worry about the effects of Bitcoin being depleted and how miners are going to cope with just transaction fees and will transactions fees be a lot higher because of the date mentioned above none of us will be here.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ether be $750 if Bitcoin reaches $10k? on: November 26, 2017, 02:09:08 PM
Not sure what price but what you will find is once the Bitcoin price gets higher is there will be a lot of people buying into altcoins with their new found wealth and pumping other alt coins up to make a profit. Depending on how much of a rise we see in Bitcoin is how much of a rise we see in alt coins.
88  Economy / Speculation / Re: why this pump ?? on: November 26, 2017, 02:07:47 PM
Bitcoin forks are always going to inflate the price a little bit more than usual we have saw this in the previous forks. But the previous forks have sort of made Bitcoin stable too. It's the only thing I can put it down to because there hasn't been anything else which has been noteworthy to cause this uprising.
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Legalization or public awareness? on: November 26, 2017, 02:06:12 PM
Public awareness. Legality is actually not that bad right now there is only a few countries which have made it illegal for selfish reasons rather than practicality.  Public awareness is so much better because of the price right now but that will change it if ever drops.
90  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of bitcoin increase forever? on: November 26, 2017, 02:05:00 PM
I think know there come a certain time when the price of bitcoin will become stable and that is when the issue regarding legality and acceptance of bitcoin in the wirld market has been settled already. I think like a normal currency bitcoin has a fixed value its just that at this moment a lot of correction is happening and I think sooner the value of bitcoin will become fixed.

I don't think stable is going to happen any time soon. We still have a lot of coins which are able to be mined and a lot of uncertainty with the amount of people investing on a daily basis.
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does Hyper-inflation affect price of bitcoin? on: November 26, 2017, 02:03:53 PM
In theory if the demand keeps on increasing then we shouldn't see too much inflation. We will see inflation when theres a lot of hype around Bitcoin which means a lot of people investing and then a few months later people sell at the hype prices and never return to Bitcoin.

Which then the bitcoin market will correct itself to a more realistic price. If the demand keeps on going through then we shouldn't see too much inflation.
92  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Reaches 9000 USD on: November 26, 2017, 02:02:06 PM
I was a doubter that Bitcoin could reach 10,000 usd before christmas but it seems like we are on course to actually hit it. Who knows what is in store for us this time next year. 20,000?
93  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of bitcoin increase forever? on: November 26, 2017, 01:59:25 PM
It should keep increasing as long as there is demand and it should keep on increasing until it hits it's ceiling closer to when the amount of bitcoins are no longer able to be mined and can simply be sent by those who have got bitcoin already.
94  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin and global warming on: November 26, 2017, 01:58:01 PM
Bitcoin miners for the green party could just run their miners off of solar panels if they have the money to do so. If they have a hydro plant or a wind turbine farm they could also do it that way. Bitcoin mining is just like having a computer at full throttle on for 24/7 and I doubt the majority of people are going to go green to support their farm unless its better for profit in the long term.
95  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinGather is officially hacked on: November 26, 2017, 01:53:52 PM
Looks like it's an exit scam. Anyone who has used to site I advise you to change your passwords and emails because you can count your money on it he will use them maliciously or sell them on. This is the risk with the smaller exchanges that they can exit so fast and don't have any identity linked with the exchange.
96  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Warning aceminers.com is a scam on: November 26, 2017, 01:52:22 PM
The only site I suggest purchasing mining equipment from is bitmain. Yes their delivery times are always off their estimate and a lot of people are complaining about them but they are the only legit site I know that will get the product to you.
97  Economy / Digital goods / Re: (AGC) Amazon.com Gift Cards ($1000/stock) on: November 26, 2017, 01:42:15 PM
You should use an escrow which is trusted by the community for your own protection as well as the buyers protection. No one is going to send first.

How were these obtained are they purchased through the official amazon website?
98  Economy / Goods / Re: House in Armenia for 10 BTC or equivalent Altcoin on: November 26, 2017, 01:40:49 PM
That look like a bunch of bricks with bad stucture made and with concrete spited on the wall with iron bars pushing the whole house to not let it go down and booooommmm ahahahhahaha...... OMG it's not a good thing man.. but good luck....

yeah, but it looks like the value was in the land, a building can be re-constructed easy enough, if you have the land.

Depending on how armenia does it too theres a building already on the land so it's already got planning permission. One could simply take down the existing structure and build another in the contract of the planning permission.
99  Economy / Goods / Re: DELL LATITUDE LAPTOPS FOR FORSALE i5 AND i7 on: November 26, 2017, 01:39:37 PM
I see that you offer free shipping in the USA but do you provide shipping for a cost worldwide? Depending on the pictures that you supply I might be interested in buying all the laptops in bulk. I would require to use an escrow like Ognasty or SebastianJu.
100  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How to assign a bitcoin address for each new member in a website on: November 26, 2017, 01:36:53 PM
What if the generated address belongs to other wallet or it is impossible for it to generate an address that belongs to others?

As long as your software doesn't have a bug that results in it incorrectly generating random numbers, it is effectively impossible to generate an address that belongs to others.

Is there an existing opensource software for it, or should I buy that software?

You might be able to use bitaddress.org software which I think is open source if not you could hire someone to create a similar sort of setup over in the services sub forum.
