501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FINALLY SOLD MY BITCOIN CASH! STEP BY STEP GUIDE on: August 06, 2017, 11:52:41 AM

1) Why would you name your coin bitcoin CASH?  instead of something more unique.

Because it is intended to replace Bitcoin
when the attack of SegWit begins and all the BTC that was obtained from selling BCC is stolen
back with a long-range chain reorganization funded with the stolen SegWit? (not my theory)

Specifically in this latest iteration, I can't imagine a situation where Shelby wasn't capable of linking the facts that there is no zero subsidy in Monero, and there is also an adaptive block size, I give him far more credit than that.

Birdie seems to be nodding today.
504  Economy / Economics / Re: Martin Armstrong Discussion on: August 05, 2017, 05:33:10 PM
…you would need to use a dynamic, scaling block size like Monero to fix that.

Someone disagrees.
505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can we have a seperate BitcoinCash forum? on: August 05, 2017, 01:55:29 PM
The discussion of other altcoins may become arduous to follow for months if buried in BCCtalk.

What if the BCC saga will be ongoing for months as suggested here:

https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@anonymint/shocking-crisis-coming-to-cryptocurrency-in-sept

Shouldn't we have a separate subforum for Bitcoin forks.

Litecoin was not a fork. BTC forks are not in the same class of altcoin as a non-fork altcoin.

Isn’t SegWit (Core) also an altcoin? Why does Core have special status as the official Bitcoin instead of Satoshi’s protocol?
Who elected them? Just saying.

OROBTC,
since you’re traveling in Europe,
have heard about the electric cars scam they are hoisting on the EU by 2020 to further bankrupt their society?
507  Economy / Economics / Re: Martin Armstrong Discussion on: August 04, 2017, 02:57:17 PM
The finch chirps while nodding that selling both at their peaks to obtain TRB and/or bits-of-net.

Whose not envious of OROBTC’s wanderlust in places we’ve never flown—and before TSHTF.

Because it's spammy copied and pasted all over
Links and topics therein are different. As you can see there are multiple blog posts.
It's pasted all over because it's relevant to the topics.

which is coincidentally why he is banned here.
I am not the one who allows multiple duplicate threads on the same subjects, thus forcing me to copy posts to the multiple threads on the same topics.

Here is the PM i got...

Apologies, I genuinely thought you might be interested in the topic (regardless whether steem is scam) because you had so often claimed that Monero is a scam.
Thought it's true that you could see link(s) in one of the threads here.
No worries, I will not bother you anymore.

No "Bitcoin Killer" is coming.
The end.

"Bitcoin Killer" is coming.
The end is near.

510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about future of Monero? on: August 01, 2017, 11:42:35 PM
Just look at Monero github, they have a very strong development team and strong community. It's also the only currency with good privacy - the other competitors are DASH which is actually less safe than just using coinjoin with bitcoin, and Zcash which is not trustless (you must trust the founders really deleted the data used for starting the geneis block otherwise they can see all your transactions).

If there's anything that has the right foundation to really join bitcoin and ethereum up the top its Monero.

Monero has the best privacy amongst all the coins, based on that alone I expect it to do well. Especially now that the community is waking up to the fact that bitcoin transactions can be tracked easily. I see its price appreciating in the coming months.

His worst case scenario just got scarier:

Yup he is busy working on the Bitcoin Killer.
AKA: Larimer's scam called Steem..

Stop lying. He is only blogging on Steem (in fact he's criticizing it).
Bitcoin killer is yet to come.

I just clicked on this thread wondering where he is or if he still exists. So he left Bitcointalk for good yes? A pity that they made him go...

They banned him here, but still active:

516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: iamnotback / Anonymint active over on Steemit on: July 26, 2017, 02:46:45 PM

He joined me to say Steem was scammy.
Then ran around the forum monetizing his long ass rants with Steem links he plastered all over here.
The very same rants that got him banned here.

He has no problems following the "RULES" over at Steem's sites huh ?
Huh funny eh ? Imagine that he has such a problem with rules here yet has no problem with them over there.
Why it almost seems like yet more HYPOCRISY from Mr Mensa genius. LOL

Sucking off the Larimers who are long time old buddies of his.
Which is bad because they are a confirmed scam crew here behind shitloads of coins.

But he is still criticizing steem... ON STEEMIT:

which it will be, as solutions are known already with for example Steem already scaling but not truly decentralized

I think the Steem model of funding users by earning from upvoting is not the best model because it motivates users to think about ways to get upvotes instead of building a following of interested readers. It seems to motivate writing blogs to do volunteerism to take money from the collective and award it to some group and other topics that otherwise no one would read. Steem’s model is just like the corruption of democracy, motivating groups to find ways to redistribute money and talk about all the good they are doing. Politicians always pander to doing good, but in reality they are just promoting stealing and not hard work.

“Steem has zero transaction fees, but this obscures the fact that the witnesses are being paid (and other economic transfers in the system). My design will render fees in the nanocents range with no obscured transfers and unlimited decentralized scaling.”

“Bitcoin can scale with centralized control of the whales, as can Steem. But then we all realize it is not decentralized and is thus a fiat. And we know that eventually that fiat will be controlled by the one world government. We did not really achieve our goal of making a currency that is controlled by no one.”

Good point @CoinHoarder.

@Spoetnik
Can't you see now that he is decentralized as much as he can be?
Steem is the best he can get atm, until he creates better solution
So is he a hypocrite? if he is, then he was forced to be one because you guys set him up and made him banned here!

can you not see 636+ followers?
Someone wanted to read his posts Wink

Shelby i seen you posting a lot of Steem links before.... why ?
It's a rigged scammy scheme coin.. something any sensible person with a shred of integrity would not go near.
Because there are some aspects of Steem, which when done correctly are going to be the Bitcoin killer and bring crypto to the masses.
However, Steem is flawed technologically, conceptually, and the distribution is a circle jerk.

"insightful" is not the word most people choose to describe this guy!

"spammer", "has no life", "FUDster", "kwukduck 2.0" are the words that come to mind.

Of course, by clueless shillheads who can't stand harsh reality of their "coins"

he has always been a desperate guy to
"desperate" with 636+ followers

spread something he called "analysis" with long walls of text (with at least 20 alt accounts supporting it) and try to force people into believing the market is moving in the way he suggests. and whenever it moved in the other direction he was arrogant enough to say "i told you so" even though he was completely wrong!

Oh yeah... You mean this
Any one buying precious metals right now and not Bitcoin @$700 is an idiot.

Or when he advised to buy LTC at $7

Damn, he is so desperate and clueless, and you figured it all out
Good thing you never listened to his advice, you'd be bankrupt by now! Roll Eyes

Quote
with at least 20 alt accounts supporting it
Note I'm not his sockpuppet (and he was only active on 1 account at the time btw), but your lying and ranting is annoying.

Maybe if you pay attention you wont be like "most people".

(I'm not trying to vilify "most people",
but reality is that most people here are waiting for their ROIs, or even promoting signature campaigns, and don't really know what they put their money in.
Thus, when they see "FUD" against their "investment" / "job", they will attack OP.
So be astute and see who are people who call others "insightful", and who are the ones ranting "spammer! fudster!" etc)

Well, you imitate his posting style very well. All you need is quotes from your own posts and you're golden  Smiley

Do you feel better now that we are both in the crab bucket? Good for you.

EDIT:
https://bitsonline.com/sec-dao-icos-securities-law/

EDIT (07/29):

How do you answer this:

"It’s important to ask the question of whether there is an expectation of profit by the buyer of a token. If so, there’s trouble" ?

There are some instances where this is very obviously the case - especially with tokens that promise to pay dividends or invest in subsequent projects (especially things like real estate, etc.). ICOs/tokens like this fail the Howey Test right off the bat.

Tokens that have a utility, like those where it's necessary to use have tokens to use a service, are on the other end of that spectrum. The buyer motivation is function, not investment or gains on the value of the token.

* Crowdfunding publicly catches the attention of the SEC. Interestingly, a private ICO does not.

EDIT:
How many ICOs are complying with legal disclosures?

Usa is not the world. Take a look at global index

The link provided to you was for the USA real estate cycle. The worlds QE ended up in $9 trillion of dollar-denominated bonds abroad, so year it created bubble assets abroad.
The coming short dollar vortex is going to reverse that.

Quote from: OROBTC
It is absolutely true that preservation of wealth becomes more important than future (but uncertain) big gains.

Then why buy metals that go to zero value in a collapse and underperform otherwise.
Gold only has a blip up for a very short period of time while the public confidence declines.
Then you must sell it, but this time you won't be able to sell it because the government is going to be regulating all the dealers and confiscating.

Quote from: OROBTC
But, when does this Knowledge Age arrive?

It has been here since at least 2009 with Bitcoin rising 50% per annum since then.

How late will you be to board the train? (although I do not suggest buying more BTC at these high prices, wait for a blow off peak and correction first.

I would highly suggest liquidating your Pt into dollars and holding dollars until there is a right time to buy more cryptocurrencies.

Hang on to some gold, but not more than 5% of your networth. I would indeed have at least 20% of networth in cryptocurrencies.

Same reason Anonymint always talks about coding but doesn't actually do any lol.

So either you’ve been infected with disseminated Tuberculosis for past 5+ years same as him, else you are lying (misrepresenting truth) yet again.
He coded 100,000s of LOC before he got infected with TB.

You even claim cryptocurrency is "fungible" when a 10 year old child can see through that lie.

Which is the same accusation we can make against gold bullion then which are in my experience not fungible with each other and different dealers have different things they are willing to buy and sell to you.

@anonymint:  cryptocurrency is not money and will never be money.

Our little birdie is providing a free education.

Quote from: OROBTC
I really do not understand the antipathy shown by crypto fans and precious metal fans (I am both), as they are naturally complementary as (at least partial) hedges vs. .gov fuckery.

Little birdie says, “Metals are no longer a hedge but rather an albatross liability that will be worth 1/1000 of current value (inflation adjusted to crypto replacing the dollar). The education is free.”

Quote from: sidhujag
Take a look at his rei charts. They all point to tops in 2015 with lows in 2016 and 2017.

Liar.
Adjust the USA real estate prices by the massive rise in the dollar past couple of years then you will understand your error.
