61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you send your Shitcoins for credit in a big broker's platform?! on: February 17, 2019, 01:58:41 PM

Just came across a very interesting offer. It seems like a mysterious broker claiming to be one of the big [layers in the market is willing to collect Shitcoins out of poor bag holders in return for credit in his platform trading real stocks and commodities.

Here is the offer - https://campaign.tokenfrenzy.net/BTC

I decided to play along and now I'm waiting to hear back more details. Meanwhile, I'm trying to find the catch in this.....why would they want my shitcoins? what will they gain by holding them? am I missing something? I have to be honest I don't mind getting valuable credit for them anyway.....

It is possible that they will accept only some altcoins, ones that at this point have a reduced value due to the bear market, but have a lot of potential. Of course, they will offer you a much lower exchange rate than the real value, and you will risk playing at their market. The offer may be real, but certainly not very profitable.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Successful ICO With No Buyback Mechanism on: February 17, 2019, 11:09:13 AM
Investors and bounty hunters are the one losing here, lots of projects that accumulated millions of dollars are worthless when they hit the market, no volume and price is down by 1000% if those coming ICO will not do buyback and the market continues to be bearish then it's all over for ICO and bounty hunters..

Your thoughts on this.?

It's true that the bear market and dump tokens by bounty hunters make the price fall. A lot of tokens have lost over 90%. However, there are projects that do not lose so much. An example is Aidus. He has lost value temporarily, but he is already making up for losses:

63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now you can buy Bitcoin from the grocery store on: February 16, 2019, 10:44:42 PM
In the U.S. there are these machines in grocery stores called "Coinstar"...they were originally used for fiat coins but now they've modified them so you can buy Bitcoin from them. This is great for mass adoption!

It seems that worldwide Bitcoin begins to appear in places where we are almost every day.
In the Carrefour supermarket chain, in Spain, you can buy Bitcoin top-up cards.

The revolution begins!  Grin
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2019 No Bull Run, the Bull is Sleeping on: February 15, 2019, 03:10:32 PM
People have been expecting bull runs from May 2018 and until now it has not happened to let all of us believe that this market will grow in the future. I was like that, having waited too long to expect the market to be uptrend but everything was still quiet. Perhaps 2019 will end without nothing too surprising

Perheps you have right, but it all depends on the circumstances and events that will take place in the coming weeks. If we have more surprises such as this one from JPMorgan yesterday, that they are introducing their own cryptocurrency, the market can wake up much faster. If nothing positive happens, it will be just as you predict, and this year will end with very small increases, and more interesting price movements will start in 2020.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Bull run bring about the resurrection of ICOs and dead Altcoins? on: February 15, 2019, 02:41:01 PM
Hello forum members, this question of "Can bull run or bull market bring about the resurrection of good ICOs and also help some good altcoins that are almost dead gain their ground and run their project smoothly?"

How feasible is my reasoning? Kindly shed more lights. Thanks

Undoubtedly the bull run will raise the prices of most coins on the market, but certainly some of them will never come back to trade. Bear market always leads to the fact that it cleans weak projects from the market. A lot depends on developers and roadmap (and ofcourse from funds). The current situation is a very big test for many projects (mainly ICO). Unfortunately, many of them will either fail or they will never regain investor confidence, will be forgotten and even bull run will not help.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bullish trend has commence! on: February 15, 2019, 12:27:55 PM
It takes more time for us to say that bullish trend has started. As of today, 3 out of top 10 cryptocurrencies are still in the red marks. The remaining 7 cryptos were gradually increasing its price. We can say that bullish trend has started if it continually increase for two months or more.

It is true that we can not be sure that the bullish trend begins, but the signals we observe means that market is stabilizing. Maybe this is not the proper start of the bull run, but such signs let us at least believe that it will come soon.

68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run 2019-2020 on: February 05, 2019, 09:49:47 AM
In previous halfing a whole market started grow. But in this we can see another huge things whoch can affect to price growing. Just in 2 month Fidelity going to launch platform for custody and trading crypto. They have 7.2 trillions usd in their client assets. This will be a massive news for crypto world and new huge money coming in crypto  Smiley

No one knows if the bulls enter the market or not. We just need to hope and to wait for the better. Try to trade when the cryptocurrencies are declining. It also works for many people.

History has shown that the HODLers were right and the speculators were wrong (I mean after long bear market periods). I think that this story will be repeated, and it is the long-term investors that will earn the most in 2019 and 2020. Trading in bear market is for gamblers.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are your expectations for this year? on: February 05, 2019, 08:54:15 AM
I think that if the bear market is not over yet, it will soon be over. I intend to collect as many coins as possible, while the price is low and by the end of this year or in 2020 I will cash out profits. So my expectations are that if not now, for sure in the second part of 2019 prices will grow.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cloud mining still profitable? on: January 28, 2019, 09:13:00 AM
Two days ago JPMorgan published information that Bitcoin mining is not profitable:

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/bitcoin-worth-less-than-it-costs-to-mine-jpmorgan/

If their calculations are correct, the cost of mining one Bitcoin is $4060 and the current price is around $3600
But this thread discussed about the cloudmining, if that's still unprofitable and how these miners are still mining the bitcoin? JP morgan seems missing a calculation about how much received as a validators in the bitcoin blockchain.

If Bitcoin mining is not profitable at all, then it is logical that cloudmining can not be profitable even more.
I also do not believe in the correctness of their calculations, but if they publish such a thing, it means that they are interested in it and it is possible that something will happen soon.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth <100 $ on: January 27, 2019, 11:40:43 PM
no need to worry about drastic price increases and decreases that are common in crypto.
precisely this is the right time to buy.
you should know every time there is an increase there must be a decrease.

After each night, the day always wakes up. I also think that we should not worry about further price drops. Even if there are some small price cuts, we can be sure that the price will go up a lot in the long term.

73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Future looks bright on: January 27, 2019, 10:41:08 PM
Long term future should be very bright. However, in the short term, we still have to live with this slow market correction.

We do not really know whether it is still a correction or stabilization, but it is actually slow and this situation will probably last for a very long time. So i don't think that future looks so bright.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2019 will be better then 2017 :) ? on: January 27, 2019, 08:29:36 PM
Unfortunately, but I'm afraid that 2019 will be much worse than 2017. I can say that 2019 will be much better than 2018, so if you are thinking about an investment, it is a good idea.
75  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia exchange hacked on: January 19, 2019, 07:33:09 PM
I read somewhere that this is not the end. They lost several million USD, but this will not cause their total collapse. Probably the case is thoroughly examined by the police, and after the investigation is completed, the exchange is ready to start working again.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Wanchain a sound investment or over hyped? on: January 19, 2019, 06:24:48 PM
Wanchain is a competitor to VeChain, but I would trust more in VeChain because they have own blockchain solution, while WanChain use Ethereum network, also VeChain has more partnerships, so it is seems that VeChain is more safe investment at the moment.

Both are good projects. It all depends on which developers can handle the difficulties associated with the bear market. Let's hope that both will develop correctly. Competition on the market always accelerates development.
77  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin will pump like crazy on: January 19, 2019, 05:44:22 PM
First of all throw away all TA you have seen and every good news idea you have been waiting for. Tho I have been in crypto for a little time I have realized that all that people base on to predict the bull market are mostly untrue (at least, for now).

Now the only reason that can pump Bitcoin on the market is that, people ridiculing and price watching even though they've not bought in can pump it. What happens is that, after every bubble people look out for the "subject of topic" to collapse. If it doesn't, they come and join like crazy and that's why Bitcoin skyrocketed in 2017.

So all we have to know is that should Bitcoin pull through this mess again, lol . .we're gonna moonrocket and that'll be because all those who thought we're done forever (Haters, Press, Analysts, Economists, those who cashed out, etc) will catalyse a never seen before FOMO.

So as for me, I'm not waiting for any Bakkt, ETF, Government regulations, Institutional Investors, Venture Capitalists, etc....I'm just waiting for 2019 to pass by and we'll see.

Unfortunately, I agree with many things you mentioned. I'm only not sure where you see that press or analysts try to attempt to promote the arrival of the bull run, because I do not see it so much. However, I think that it is true that real, large investors will not return to the crypto market in a few months, maybe even until the end of 2019 and because of that we also dont see bull run soon.

78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it Game Over for Bitcoin? on: January 19, 2019, 02:29:52 PM
no, I do not believe bitcoin will be game over because the world of technology continues to grow and in the future bitcoin will become a common commodity, unless the world goes back to time we don't know modern technology like now, for example in the stone age Grin
That might happen but i will not be called the Stone Age but the After-apocalyptic age. Some movies and other predict that if this will happen, it will be after the war that will happen, might be after the Nuke Bomb. We don't know what might happen all we know is that it is still has its value. So while the value is still there, take advantage of the price movements.

If something bad happens to Bitcoin, then it certainly will not be a bad thing for the world of cryptocurrencies. This will mean that cryptocurrencies are developing, because only better technology can replace Bitcoin as a leader.
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To save bitcoin - stop buying bitcoin cash on: January 11, 2019, 03:59:33 PM
BitcoinCash was just a dividende to people who was lucky enough to hold bitcoins in the summer of 2017, there's no use case for bitcoin cash, and the  BitcoinCash blockchain have almost no transactions.

Bitcoin Cash is a fake coin created only so that Roger Ver and his friends can make money on new users who do not know how it was created. At the moment people are still speculating on BCH, but I hope that soon everyone will forget about this nasty manipulation and this coin will disappear from the cryptocurrency market.
80  Economy / Speculation / Re: Whats makes bitcoin Price Drop ? on: January 11, 2019, 03:20:15 PM
I think that as to yesterday's price drops, there is no doubt that some big fish still want to manipulate the cryptocurrency market.
Let's hope that shortly their wallets will be empty, they end dump coins and they will finally start buying.
