1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IMF is jealous of El Salvador, LOL on: Today at 10:09:54 PM
They're still testing the waters and maybe count more 5 years to come and we'll see most of its people are already using it 100%. This is the utility that satoshi aimed why he made Bitcoin.

And AFAIK with IMF, aren't they supportive with Bitcoin years ago? why they're having this kind of drama against El Salvador? Sketchy.

Indeed, everything needs a process but I am still optimistic that this will be one of the real proofs later from El Salvador and if the progress is 90%
I am hoping so that this is one of the reasons of El Salvador's progress and IMF just don't like to see a country thrives through unconventional method that no one has ever applied to their regime.

I think it is considered a success, especially since they managed to close their debt with the IMF using this instrument. It is certain that a massive reversal of the argument will occur as predicted by many parties that it is impossible to happen.
Maybe that's one of the reasons why IMF says such thing against them. They're able to clear some of their debts and they're seeing the positive progress from them.

I'm not sure but I don't want to go that far and thought of conspiracies but I am happy that we've seen this piece of history and El Salvador is the first one that made BTC as their legal tender.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone have gambling experience on Tor? on: October 08, 2024, 11:08:59 PM
Previously have not had experience playing casino with Tor browsing, some say it is the same as a VPN some say it is not the same, is Tor browsing really able to do us full privacy
This is a tricky question but I'd say that it is helping us to hide our real IP address. There's some privacy in there but it doesn't mean that it is foolproof.

In the terms and conditions of the casino never found any rules about the usefulness of Tor browsing... That means it should be fine when playing casino using Tor browsing maybe sometimes people worry that the casino will detect you and ask for documents because of this kind of behavior.
It is normal if the casino will ask KYC that specific user that has a consistency of changing IP address because of the usage of VPN or TOR.

But if they happen to identify that user is from a restricted country then, that's the time to say goodbye to that casino even if you passed on their KYC.

The curiosity of people about how Bitcoin becoming a legal tender is doing in El Salvador and with that stats, it seems that Bukele did the right thing.

4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 06, 2024, 11:47:32 PM
Ryan is going to focus on his boxing career, he is still very young and could make a lot of money in the next years or so specially fighting bigger names at 140 lbs. And then we all have wanted to see him going up against Haney for a rematch.
And when he's about to retire, he can capitalize the drama that he can make with all of these entertaining matches from content creators.

And if we divert to Fundora vs Crawford, the deadline being set for them to sit down and negotiate is up to this Monday,
I hope that they can meet in the middle and make it happen.

Indeed and as per this one he gained a lot and we don't know what will be his next offer for his fans and followers, maybe he will take that kind of route or he wil continue fighting decent fighters to his level and make his name on top, those options are still open for him and we never know what will be his next plans and how his team will sell it for the sake of supports and attentions.
Let's just assume that he'll make his career better by matching up with the fighters that aligns to his weigh class and won't have any reasons when they lose.

We don't know what the future awaits and what is interesting to him. There could be some change of interest along the way and who knows if he's up for it.

But for the meantime, you're right that his interest is with the pro scene and making his reputation known worldwide. Although it doesn't mean that something like him couldn't get into these drama deals.

Yeah, chances that he might recieve kind of offers that he can't resist especially when there a huge money involve, we can't dictate or conclude whether he will continue his career being a pro or he can shift careers and accept those kinds of exhibition to make money instead of chasing for a belt.
We're all speculating about it since he's always making rounds and dramas that he's involved in were successfully getting the attention of the boxing fans.

Though right now, the focus maybe for him to keep that name up and to deal with other fighters that might have same or more valuable than him,.
Yes.

That seems to be it and he's free to do whatever he want for the sake of his reputation and career.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 04, 2024, 10:37:02 PM
Yeah, we'll never know what may happen and if the tides collide for these two. And that's actually a good idea, maybe Ryan is considering that because of the dramas that he's in and these influencer boxers are also into this like the Paul brothers.

That's for sure going to bring a lot of interest for the fans if he ever tries get into this.

It's easy money for him and whoever with the brothers that will fight him in that setting.

But Ryan seems to be keen on making his legacy on boxing, as this is obviously the sports that he loves, for example, Suga Sean O’Malley has been calling out Ryan Garcia, unfortunately, he lost his fight to Merab Dvalishvili so I do not think that there will be hype.

And for fighting the Paul brothers, not sure if he can also be offered money that he will be satisfied as he is also getting biggest paycheck in boxing and that's why he has a lot of money as well. I see him still fighting in the ring after this suspension has been lifted next year. It could be against Haney though, which the fans wanted to see one more time when both of them are clean.
We don't know what the future awaits and what is interesting to him. There could be some change of interest along the way and who knows if he's up for it.

It was a drama that they all feel for Garcia, it short they were all trick by Garcia. Pretending that he had mental issues prior to the fight and that's why Haney was really salty after the first knockdown and wasn't able to recover in that fight. And then the subsequent peds and now Haney is suing Ryan Garcia for punitive damage. But as fighters, if they really want, they should do a rematch again, and then go home with both of them taking big paycheck.
Haha. Other boxers that likes to have drama will copy what Garcia has done. But it's true that if it can't be settled by suing which there is sort of deception believed by Haney.

To settle everything, a rematch is indeed going to solve this case and everyone will see and even himself and Garcia will prove who's the real winner for this bout.

But then, the sports industry is starting to become part of the entertainment industry now.

Ryan Garcia beat him so badly that I’m not sure even if he was on steroids that Haney could beat him while they are both clean. I don’t think we’ll see a rematch of this fight, but you never know. There seem to be some fans who want to see it. Personally I’d rather see Garcia take the influencer route and box Logan Paul.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How much do you think Ethereum could be in October? on: October 01, 2024, 11:02:29 PM
It doesn't matter to me, how accurate my predictions are because whether it happens or not I'll just go along with what's the price in.

But my prediction for the price of Ethereum for this month of October is that it should surpass $3k at the end of it. Currently, it's on $2400 so a $600 increase isn't that much.

This is a volatile market and that's possible.
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what would you do when you can no longer trade? on: October 01, 2024, 10:09:22 PM
It applies for all even not someone who does a day trading as a source of income.

We have to find ways in generating more sources of income when we have the capital in doing that.

Only those that are wise with their money are thinking like this. But the others who are doing a YOLO will never have this slide on their minds.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin recognized as digital currency in Shanghai on: October 01, 2024, 08:05:55 PM
That's really a tough situation for the people in there. And that's what communism is all about based on the leadership that they'd follow.

Sadly, even if there will be a lot of good proposals about it, the final say will still come from the president Xi and no one will be able to alter that but only him.

But who knows? their economy needs to uprise because of the loans that they've given to many countries, they need another source for more money to flow into their economy.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can early investor turns their small investment into millions? on: September 30, 2024, 10:09:09 PM
You would see those articles that a guy turned his few thousands into millions trading those altcoins, memes, storm, fire, frog, cat and every animal in the farm.

Those are actually for shilling and don't believe them.

Before, this is real by being too early to invest in every project for the likes of Bitcoin but it takes time because you have to hold it. Nowadays, I don't know if it's still a thing.
too much insider trading out there that are almost indistinguishable to real trade, therefore as you said, we don't know if it's a thing.

however lately, the moo deng meme coin said to have a guy turned their $800 to few millions according to the arkham intelligence tweets.

which might be a good little proof that such occasional thing still exist, but even then we don't know if it's just insider trading doing the buy up at early phase or genuine early meme coin buyer, but here's the catch, if this guy cashed out his whole profit, the market will be destroyed since the market don't have that much liquidity to endure such big dump.
These guys that are making that much from small capital are amazing, they're few talented people.

But with most that have been published, I wouldn't believe with that because it's another form of strategy that they can attract more investors to the projects and tokens that they make.

Still, we're on our own and we DYOR everything they say to validate and confirm.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pretend that you believe storing btc in an exchange is better than a hard wallet on: September 30, 2024, 08:36:49 PM
Because there's an interest given 1%-3% per year for the "stake" Bitcoins on these exchanges.

Compared to us holding that in our hardware wallets or whichever wallet we prefer that has the private keys that we keep, we get no interest and are only dependent to the fluctuations.

That sounds enticing but still a no for me.
That interest part is one thing I think most people use as an excuse to keep their bitcoin in an exchange, but the thing there is that the interest rate is always very small, and it's not always worth the risk.

I will rather use day trading as a reason to hold my bitcoin in an exchange since if I focus, there can be more profit, which can be made compared to the APR at the end of the year without also thinking about fees.
If that's the excuse that they use, they're putting their funds into risk.

That's okay, they probably used to that taking of risk and they cannot stop themselves from believing that the money is safe in exchanges and if that's how they use it.

People will only learn so much once they experience the hardship of it. With that, that's what they will about to learn and see.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Catizen finally awarded $CATI token on: September 30, 2024, 01:16:40 PM
Yeah, CATI > HMSTR, and DOGS > CATI, in my opinion, though, from each one of them you could get something. Albeit, you could tap-tap HK for months, and get $5-$10, or click DOGS once and get the same amount, or even more.
That "something" isn't a lot for most.

While it's true that all that you've mentioned, it's either with that range or even more. And that's how it goes for these airdrops nowadays. Gone are the days when people has a high chance of getting hefty amount of money.

Today, they're just like enough for you to have nice snacks and that's it, you'll have to accept it and move to the next one.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How sustainable is web3 socialfi concept??.. on: September 29, 2024, 11:12:41 PM
To be brutally honest, web3 and socialfis are just trendy names in the community.

No matter how ticked they are for once or twice in a cycle, still people will end up seeing that they're not used to it.

They're just buzz words that have gotten attention but then, the limelight will disappear in a year or two or after the bull run cycle.
yeah, they just don't have the thing to compete with existing social media, the normal people won't even care if their content is also partly owned by the social media platform through granting fair-use for the copyrighted object upon term and condition agreement.
moreover, the fact that web3 socialfi used web3 technology which majority of people don't really understand just adding layer of complexitiy.

here's the thing, content creator seek a platform that have big amount of audience which are the reason the platform could have so much content while the audience want platform that's easy to use and also big amount of content it's like circle, the web3 socialfi on the other hand lacking both content creator and audiences, unfortunately we've past that stage where content creator and audience are still seeking for a platform, instead everything already revolve around the giants of social media and too much content creator already invested their time in there so migration to a less popular web3 based social fi is not an option but just an expensive overhead.
Even if they are up for a fee per posting there on that social Fi idea, I don't think that many will stay. Why?

Because these platforms will think highly of themselves and will make claiming stricter with the rules that they will set and in the end, people will be shooed away from these platforms.

And that's why we never get to see these socialfis stay for so long when some ideas were already given in the past.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pretend that you believe storing btc in an exchange is better than a hard wallet on: September 29, 2024, 09:29:54 PM
defend why we should store our Bitcoin on an exchange instead of a hardware wallet. Enjoy! Cheesy

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What altcoins are you holding till the peak of bull market next year? on: September 28, 2024, 09:49:15 PM
Can anyone please explain me the hype around TON lately?
It's about the apps that are built inside telegram which is the main business of TON. So, let's call it TON network.

And those apps are for the airdrops, these are tap games that are easy to play with but you get significant points as you play the game.

When the project is ready for token generation, they're relying on those numbers for how much you'll receive. So that's pretty much why it's trending.
