I am still confused about the 250 Max Pos Reward
Lets say if i hold 100,000 HBN, 2% every 10 days which would end up with 2,000 HBN
but i will only get 250 HBN after 10 days?
If you have just one block of 100k your assumtion applies. But if you have 20 5k blocks you would get 20 times 100hbn stakes after 10 days in ideal conditions with staking luck |

Not a single trade with HBN on this exchange . Quite understandable move from their side. And I dont thing there is anything Tranz can do abou itt. Lets focus on dynamicaly expanding(in volume) cryptopia. Sufficient atm. |

HBN reached 75k for a short period of time. Now there are like 5 time more nickels than that time , frankly it is unlikely we reach any price close but who knows. Current requests:
Change S4C to 100% - I think I will likely do 75 or 90% for the first change. Then if that goes well change to 100%. But I can bump it, yes.
Lower CPU - This will be one of the first one. Multiple changes for this.
Lower Memory - Most important but also most difficult. Will take much time, but will begin to investigate this and see what can be done. Need help from the crowd on this one. What POS coins are out there that have the least memory? New coins don't count. Have to have few years under their belt.
What else?
 For info above... HYP is at 1028083 blocks with 462MB memory usage. HBN is at 5242362 blocks with 2.2GB... so the memory usage is about equal per block... Right on, so are there any that are lower per block? Mint, nvc, black coin, ppc? Ect... Is it really neccessary to keep all the blocks in the memory? What can be done about the lag after each block ? (fairglu observed when uploading chain on explorer , and I think same lagging in the wallet / might be the case of wallet with thousands of blocks..) |

Hi everyone! No I am not dead.  No I didn't really abandon the coin.  Still holding a bunch and actually looking to acquire more in the next few months. Sorry I haven't been around for sometime. I have been quite busy with another addition to the family and a new position at work, and still in training for ANW. What little time I have left in the day I try to spend with family. I haven't even been able to log into bitcointalk for almost 1 year. Yikes! Anyway I am not totally back right now. However I may hang around more in the coming months. My long term plans haven't changed. I still have big things in mind for the coin but some of it may have to wait months/years/decades. If crypto is really going to stick around for the long haul, then 12 months is pittance. My main goal over the next year will be to work on core things with the coin, speed, memory, cpu, ect. These are difficult to work on and require much time and dedication. My guess is 2018 - 2019 for the final set of commits, with some early ones in 2017. I will do my best with the limited time I have. A team of other developers to help would be great! Any takers?.... The pay sux, and people yell at you a lot.  Anyway thanks to everyone who has stood by the coin and not dumped. Hopefully we can move back to a better level here into the future. Welcome back buddy! for sure, i'm sure many devs charge less. but it is a POS base at the end of the day and its better to use a newer base than an older one. obviously id be using a newer one

i agree. the codebase def. needs to be updated, but i was more concerned finding any active developers that were still working on this coin that are willing to talk to nova exchange to keep the coin from being delisted. i could speak to them but i always like to ask first because i feel that speaking on someones behalf without asking is rude. Hi feel free to take over developement Tranz is looong gone . I vould be happy to contribute some HBNs in regards of code refresh. Anyone to join the case and contribute as well? |

Should I drop them a line and ask that they use the new one: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/hbn/ ? Or is that something that a dev/admin should do? Oh really.. search this forum with "fork" and/or "forked blockchain" and behold the carnage. I have got interesting feedback from fairglu regarding the syncing process. besides being slow, the node stops responding for a few seconds every time a new block is founthis coin really need some optimization of code, any volunteer? |
