1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Question about Gridseed G-Blade PSU on: May 24, 2014, 04:38:47 PM
I wouldn't mind going the atx route, I have a bunch of spare atx power supplies. I'm going to PM cablez for a quote.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Question about Gridseed G-Blade PSU on: May 24, 2014, 04:11:16 PM
I have a bunch of nice atx power supplies laying around from gpu mining, is there any way I can leverage those?
I just bought 2 G-Blades, but didn't realize they didn't come with a power supply. Zoomhash is charging $25 per PSUs, with 2 PSUs per unit. Instead of spending a hundred dollars to power these blades, I decided to look online for a cheaper alternative. I found http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1811261 in a quick google search. With 2 of these PSUs, I could power both for only ~$70. I was trigger happy and bought the parts listed below, thinking I would just make my own cables. I realized after I checked out from amazon that the hardforum post was for the pods, not the blades.

My question: Is the barrel jack the same connector between the pods and blades?

Power Supply: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D7CWSCG
Wire: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003ZX8NX0

return it all.  then go to this guy

buy from him  cost about  35 bucks  his are highest quality.   then  let me know you ordered them.

I will sell you this for 35 shipped.

you will be far better off and you will spend 70 bucks.    you will be able to power 3 blades.

as cablez has 3 plugs  2 sets have 6 plugs.

I have all the gear you have and I have the better gear.  night and day difference.

by the way your gear will pull 10 to 20 watts more as the psu you picked is under 80% more like 70%

you should reall get the cables by cablez

let me see if I can find a good psu for you.  as you may not want to get my used one.

here is a  good choice of 2 psu's

almost forgot  this tricks the psu

http://www.ebay.com/itm/261302980079?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

your gear purchased is a little less, but it is not good as compared to above.

I'm still in the hole almost 600k doge from cryptopool, requested payout weeks ago. My best friend who I told to start mining doge instead of ltc is out over 850k on cryptopool.

Can we have a mod remove this post? The "creator" of this pool should be ashamed of himself.

Does the amount of 12v rails in the psu matter?
