I use bitcoin and not any other cryptocurrency because I trust bitcoin. And also because it is worth a lot more than any other.
And another important reason is that it is the most used, most accepted and most renowned among all.

is there ONE dapp that has any real users or that is useful in any way? http://dapps.ethercasts.com looks like a bunch of useless homework projects That's a pretty endless list with plenty of smart people working hard on various promising projects, that alone tells you why Ethereum has value, because innovation gathers the smartest people possible. Ethereum barely has one year under its belt, its price is based on potential alone. Bitcoin has more than 5 and we are still quite not sure what it does, now it's digital gold and not a currency any more. Still hasn't catch on either. Both can transfer value quickly (Ethereum quite faster) though, just like many other coins o cryptocurrencies. To me, the bitcoin is both digital gold and a kind of currency. I invest in the bitcoin and also use it to buy things. |

Yes, downtrend continues at least in terms of BTC, but remains stable with strong support at $10-10.5. It will rally again once the next fork is announced as usual and will most likely reach $12-13 again. I think the Ethereum price will stay at the current level for the next few months to consolidate. Then it will rise. |

Nanopool is quite good. It is paid out every one or two hours now. Sometimes you do not have to be higher than 0.01. |

You do realize that Zcash will bring more or less the exact same profitability as Ethereum does right now.
Only good thing is if the market cap is large enough then ETH difficulty curve might slow down.
What are you basing that assessment on? It isn't even out yet... let alone listed on a market. ETH will go POS eventually. ... When the ETH or other ETC goes to PoS, the ZCash will in place of it and become the largest altcoin. |

The criminal and nefarious endeavours that went into creating and supporting this ETC Criminal Coin are truely shocking. How any right minded individual could post their support for a coin intentionally banded together to fleece genuine crypto investors is physically sickening. But we all lot forward to the first DevCriminalCon. Perhaps we could have the relevant judicial authorities storm it to arrest the crooks.
There's no such thing as a "genuine crypto investor". A "crypto investor" is nothing else but someone trying to rip off someone else in a zero-sum game. In other words, if you're in the business of gambling, sorry, "investing" in crypto, you're already an outright scammer. That said, there's nothing wrong with it, because you're only trying to rip off people that are scammers themselves, and try to do the same. But this is also the reason why there's nothing wrong with the DAO hacker. He was just a smarter scammer that understood the game better than the other scammers that tried to rip off one another. Although. Finally, these last ones were the winners in the scammer game with something unexpected: they wound back history by breaking the block chain. But hey, in the scamming business, there are no rules, right ? (but then, nobody is a criminal, right ?) BTW, look at your signature: you're making publicity for a Ponzi scheme: an ethereum doubler. As you well know there is no love nor support from my side for any endeavour I believe as criminal. And in this case the ETC Criminal Coin. But I'll throw it out there. "With a lot of exciting stuff on the horizon", name just one piece of "stuff" to spark my curiosity that ETC is not at it's very own core 'criminal' and will advance the cryptosphere?!? I think the upper trend of the ETH has been established. So the price could rise further in the next few weeks.
I've been trading XMR mostly of late, but am keeping my eye on ETH. The drop to .019 isn't great, but as long as it can keep above support at 0.0186 there's still a bullish case. I have some limit order at 0.017. If the price of Ethereum drops to 0.017, I will buy a lot and sell when the price rises to 0.022. |

The problem is that the Poloniex is going to support the Ethereum Classic as well. So it could cause price drop. When the ETC drops to to below $0.1, the Poloniex and other exchanges will not support the ETC at all. The exchanges are in for the money. So they will not list the ETC if the trading volume is less than a threshold. That is right. As long as the trading volume is over certain criteria, the Poloniex and some other exchanges will trade the ETC. |

What problems ? The only problem there was, DAO. Now you should live in the real world where startups like dao fail more than succeed, not inside a bubble. And im sure many more projects will fail because not everyone is best in their field and people make mystakes, but thats the world we live in.
Some people will trust the Ethereum, its developers and the community more after it survives such a big disaster. |

The bitcoin price increases with the number increase as a general rule. So the price will be higher in the future.
That is the reason I buy/mine some bitcoin and use the bitcoin to purchase some goods. I am helping the adoption. |
