I'm getting 0 hashes on Lyra2z

I am uisng MiningPoolHub. What would be the cause of 0 hashes?

I'm mining on a GTX 1080 ti and on Windows 10

edit: tested on NiceHash and it works. Not sure why I can't use MiningPoolHub or if I can't use any pool where you have a username worker
I'm on MPH too. It works fine

Can you show me what your .bat looks like?

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining rig won't boot, new build. Any noob mistakes? on: February 01, 2018, 09:37:49 PM
Generally, if you have no GPU's, you plug the monitor into the "video out" of the motherboard.  Once you add a GPU, even if it is on a riser, you plug into the GPU.

There is no onboard video, so I probably need to put 1 GPU on the main board for the first boot and drive installation I'm guessing.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Mining rig won't boot, new build. Any noob mistakes? on: February 01, 2018, 08:36:41 PM
I am not sure what is wrong. Do I need to have at least 1 GPU on the main board or my display connected to the on board video or is it supposed to work if I plug my monitor into one of the GPU's even though it is on one of the x1-x16 risers?

I don't see the monitor reacting at all when I boot the system and the motherboard gave me some error code for memory
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / How do you report mining income with Suprnova? on: January 10, 2018, 01:53:59 AM
I was reading on the mining tax policy and it looks like you are expected to report how much you earned from each individual block reward you receive. When you use some pools that hold a wallet l(ike suprnova for example) that you can can cash out manually, wouldn't it than be recognized that you just earned as you made your cashout rather than filing for every individual block instead?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: can xrp overtake btc in CMC on: December 30, 2017, 05:05:54 PM
ripple is now at 100B do you think it can overtake bitcoin once Coinbase lists xrp?

ripple beat ethereum today,
but, i think even ripple is listed on coinbase, the marketcap would not surpassed bitcoin

well im thinking coinbase listing made BCH i think grow up more than 2x.
if coinbase does that to xrp i think xrp can overtake bitcoin

It was more than Coinbase alone. Jihan Wu of Bitmain announced that he will only accept BCH to buy his ASIC miners on the same day
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple (XRP) is a shame to the crypto-community. on: December 30, 2017, 04:59:41 PM
Ripple doesn't even belong in any Cryptocurrency forum or website IMO.

We might as well list Paypal on coinmarketcap, along with Credit bureaus .

If banks want to make efforts to combat Cryptographic, Decentralized, currencies, then let them do so away from us.

Once again, Ripple is NOT based on blockchain Cryptography, is NOT decentralized, 100% premined, valued, and distributed my Ripple. It is NOT a coin. It is  baking efforts to invade and altar the cryptocurrency community.
Agree, Ripple is not a real cryptocurrency currency, but it is very good for banks, and it is a very big force that can put it in the first place.

Do you really think the banks will let we the people be the ealy investors and pump it up for us?

It's the other way around lol. Don't be the one buying high. XRP is due for a price correction down to half the current BTC value it is now but because it is noobs to the cryptocurrency space trying to get rich on a penny coin in disregards to the market cap and current to future circulation, they will panic sell the price into a hard dump.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple on: December 30, 2017, 04:53:16 PM
Seen plenty of post like this last round XRP pumped and dumped with people shilling it as the BTC replacement and praise the banks to make profits on them. Really, they make profits on you. They don't use the coin they only use the protocol and released the coin to get rich on you, they have barely released half their circulation and will be unloading a billion coins a month into the supply.

XRP as a coin is functional, but the prospect of its growth is misleading and it is overdo now.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple price prediction for the month of January 2018 on: December 30, 2017, 04:48:08 PM
Its value is scaled to BTC which is taking price pullback, and XRP has a billion coins to release per month still to inflate the market cap. The new people wanting to get rich on a cheap coin don't know this stuff which is why they wil be the bag holders this round of the rinse and repeat that is ripple. The XRP and bank thing doesn't even need the coin, the Ripple protocol is used by Banks without the coin. The coin is literally over valued on that whole banks use it basis since its not true but one thing that is true, the XRP company is going to make 2 billion dollars selling 1 billion coins on the market per month on all of you.

You should all be buying XRP after most of the circulation has been released or the price dipped half way in BTC value

If XRP overtakes BTC, the BTC value its self would crash and XRP being scaled off of it would be bottle necked from going much higher in USD value. The Cryptocurrency space would take a giant hit as a result of a centralized coin overtaking BTC, it was the decentralized fundamentals that made this phenomenon work in the first place and we would hardly have made an improvement from the online banking world, only difference is XRP's wouldn't be as readily printable as virtual dollars in a bank account are.

McAfee is posting about this ICO a lot
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Explanation for ripple price increase? on: December 30, 2017, 08:46:28 AM
People think it will make them rich because the banksters will pump it for them. This happened when BTC got slammed with major FUD and everyone was hedging around. XRP started rising and than the FOMO kicked in about bankers taking over BTC.

Bankers are letting the noobs pump money into this right now so they can sell it to you at the top and re consolidate buying it back from you on a discount
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple (XRP) is a shame to the crypto-community. on: December 30, 2017, 08:43:32 AM
I dont care mate,i invested 5btc worth of XRP when it was $0.2 6months ago i know thats ridiculous but it gave me a decent amount of returns,who cares about who created and manipulating this coin as much it will give thousands of dollars?no one cares.

No matter what coin goes up, someone is making thousands of dollars. Detach yourself from it since you have a stake and ask yourself what coin should go all the way? Some will open up a bright future and the others will just make the average person a bigger debt slave to the poor economy and crooked power structure.

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WTF happening to XRP? another bubble? on: December 30, 2017, 08:38:50 AM
I think its only upwards for ripple from here
Who knows what price it will reach

so much pump! it should go down now! Cheesy

Thats what they said before

Last time XRP exploded, it went to a higher BTC value than it is now. It dumped, and it kept dumping in a nice slow burn. There were plenty of people thinking it would go up forever before.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [OS] nvOC easy-to-use Linux Nvidia Mining v0019-1.4 on: December 24, 2017, 07:52:05 PM
I gave this a try again and I got my OneBash file now, not sure why it was missing before.

When editing it I notice the entry for ZEC for example shows worker and address. If I am using a pool like suprnova or miningpoolhib I just have a worker so what am I doing with the address, and I don't even know where to enter the worker password?

Only other question is overclocking. With the GTX 1080 I can overclock the memory to 1,000 in MSI Afterburner but I know that if I used ASUS GPU Tweak the numbers are displayed differently due to a multiplier and number of memory modules stacked in the GPU. Is setting 1,000 for the memory OC in the OneBash the same as 1,000 in MSI Afterburner on windows?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [OS] nvOC easy-to-use Linux Nvidia Mining v0019-1.4 on: December 22, 2017, 04:30:07 AM

BTW seems the 2.0 update is doing really well I think, seems many problems have been wiped out from this release, kudos to the dev team.

Congrats to @leenoox @papampi & @stubo & thanks for all of your hard work.

I'm really glad you are satisfied with nvOC 0019-2.0 - Community Release.

A lot of work has been put into it, from bug fixes, optimizations, updates, new features and new original code.

I would like to thank you for the kind words, aswell thank all developers, testers and community for testing, providing feedback, reporting bugs and giving  suggestions to make this the best nvOC yet.

Papampi is working relentlesly on the update scripts and the full image will be announced soon.

Interesting, I was thinking that was the case but wondered why not have the installer there as an option anyway. If I can unplug the USB after booting I can see this as a way to cut cost on storage devices for large scale mining.

I didn't see 1bash or OneBash when I loaded nvOC, I tried looking for both before. I might go with Ubuntu since it's an actual install so I can place staking wallets and all of that stuff on there too. I would rather keep my coins on a linux machine than windows
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [OS] nvOC easy-to-use Linux Nvidia Mining v0019-1.4 on: December 22, 2017, 01:21:48 AM
Would I be able to add any pool and coin I want into the 1bash if the algo is already supported?

Yes you can do that using very simple steps.

for eg;
Quote
ETH_WORKER="miner"
ETH_ADDRESS="kryptoMiner"
ETH_POOL="europe.ethash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:20535"
ETH_EXTENSION_ARGUMENTS=""

You can go with any pool you want to mine with.

You can also mine other coins which use same algo, above you can put ETC address and ETC pool and you can mine ETC with that.

Its just a template where you can use it how ever you want.

Thanks.

I was trying nvOC earlier but I didn't see the OneBash anywhere even though I was just watching a youtube demonstration, and I don't even see an installation section either.

Needless to say, I am going through a lot of pains trying to get Linux mining working and I've given up on basic Ubuntu

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is mining going to die? on: December 21, 2017, 03:53:57 AM
I think the number of mining coins needs to decrease, which is not in favor for me as a miner but the growth of these markets has exploded at such a rate than it will take a long time for enough miners to up the difficulty and bring the profits back down to earth, and all that electric and heat output is just plain scary. I don't mind it since it's warming up rooms in the winter but we can' keep this mining fiasco up forever. Lets enjoy the mining for maybe 2 more years as we hopefully watch the majority of shitcoins die and leave only the few and solid POW coins to survive, let the block reward reductions over time regulate these few coins from over expanding.

Anyway, I would discuss what coins should die and survive but that is not for this subforum
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 3x 1080ti or 5x 1070ti? on: December 21, 2017, 03:48:44 AM
3x 1080ti's will b easier to run on a single PSU for cabling, and it is less GPU's to trouble shoot if one of them is overclocked too high and causing crashes after 6 hours. I'm in the minority who prefers to run more powerful cards over quantity and for what its worth more quantity per rig pulls in a greater ROI
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining on a multiple 4x monitor station? on: December 21, 2017, 03:44:57 AM
I'm wondering if you can mine on a multi monitor setup if all 4 displays are connected to a single GPU? This would be when the system is otherwise doing nothing and not 24/7 mining.

Yes, you can mine something.

Whether or not you can mine effectively on certain algorithms is another matter, however. The easiest way to check would be to do so experimentally.

As long as it can be done. In my experience with my own rigs I find that low memory and high core algos tend to slow down regular PC use so my best bet is Equihash mining
