Liverpool's mental chaos started from a 0-3 defeat to Atalanta at Anfield in the Europa League and it could not be fixed quickly and it was even worse when they lost the last few matches in the EPL afterwards which made the situation that was initially very favorable for Liverpool in the Europa League and EPL for now is the opposite of that because apart from giving up the Europa League competition they also have to be ready to lose the trophy now.
The first leg defeat to Atalanta in the Europa League didn’t make them lost hope in the fight for a trophy this season but after they couldn’t make it to the next round and were eliminated by Atalanta even after scoring one goal in the second leg, it now made them mentally weak and unable to play strong as they should to keep the hope of winning the trophy alive. Due to their lack of coordination after that defeat, they were it with another big loss to Everton which makes their fight and hope for a trophy this season faded away. For a major return to the fight of the league title, it means Arsenal and Manchester City who are above them in standings have to lose some matches which is practically impossible now. Their title race might as well already come to an end but can still make a qualification to the UCL next season which is also an achievement for them.
