Very, very few people truly understand how Zcash works. Even Zooko can't explain it. A backdoor could be something as simple as a vulnerability that they either accidentally found, or intentionally placed, and then kept secret. It's not like there's a big "THIS IS THE BACKDOOR!" comment in the code. It would be an extremely obscure vulnerability, that could then be used to deanonymize transactions. Considering that the founder essentially admitted there are ways for them to make Zcash useless for criminals, it's far from absurd to say that Zcash has backdoors. To me, it's practically 100% certain that they're there.
^ truth Guys, ZCash is the first cryptocurrency which is using ZKsnarks. Cryptography is not always easy to explain. If you really wont to figure out what ZKsnarks means (and you have deep understanding in math) then check the listed papers in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-interactive_zero-knowledge_proof. It would be great if someone out there finds the proper words to explain ZKsnarks to the world. |

Erstmal Danke für das posten der Info aus dem Slack-Channel!
Es ist wirklich traurig, dass der Incent CTO so eine Aktion durchzieht. Er schadet eigentlich hauptsächlich sich selbst (glaubt der wirklich das diese Aktion ohne Folgen bleiben wird?) und dem Projekt.
Ich habe nicht viel in dieses Projekt investiert, wodurch es für mich relativ einfach ist das Investment "abzuschreiben". Für mich macht es derzeit keinen Sinn zu verkaufen, also bleib ich erstmal investiert. Die Zukunft wird zeigen ob das Incent Team das Ding noch drehen kann.

Like people said before: Cryptos are crashing a little bit. Stratis is a solid project - but every project needs time... And yes - it is probably overpriced today but the team is delivering in time and thats why investors trust in this project. If you trust in this project, than just hold and wait for the next good results and the next swing of the crypto market. There are a lot of big whales in statis. Na ja, je nach dem was man vor hat. Wenn man die Kurse so beobachtet, dann dumpen anscheinend einige ihre "geschenkten" Byteball direkt nach dem sie sie erhalten haben (hier bietet sich ein guter Kaufzeitpunkt). Diese "dumper" sehen somit keine Zukunft von Byteball und sind nur dankbar für die Geschenke. Wenn du das Byteball Konzept als zukunftsträchtig erachtest, dann zahlt es sich auf jeden Fall aus in Byteball zu investieren und den 20% Bonus einzuheimsen. |

Als ich mich hier vor nicht langer Zeit angemeldet hab, dachte ich ziemlich gleich. Ich war überrascht wie sich das alles seit irgendwas um 2011/12 entwickelt hat und dachte hier blüht nun irgendwie was auf. Doch es wirkte irgendwie schnell merkwürdig - der Kurs bewegt sich wie von Geisterhand, meist eigentlich ohne Anlass, denn Nachrichten sind ja relativ selten - und wieso sollte da plötzlich ein Coin durch die Decke springen, wenn gar nichts passiert ist? Na ja ich sag nur: Spekulation und Manipulation. Jeder kann sich selbst ausrechnen, wie geringe Summen es braucht um diverse "Shitcoins" durch die Decke springen zu lassen. Dann springen andere auf und für die Manipulatoren ist noch immer ein satter Gewinn drinnen. Auf der anderen Seite dann hier das Altcoin Forum, wo man sich gegenseitig dann auch irgendwelche Coins empfiehlt ohne scheinbar auch nur mal zu schauen, wie denn so ein Coin funktionieren könnte. Fast alle erzählen davon wie sich da nun eine Revolution anbahne, es eine Multimiliarden Dollar Lawine ist, die sich unaufhaltsam nach vorne wälzt, die BTC Typen für unser Zukunft kämpfen würden und am besten noch, dass Fiat eine Illusion sei. Aber irgendwie herrscht eine völlige Blindheit, dass das im Moment eigentlich nur ein Sturm im Wasserglas ist. Bei vielen hab ich dann auch das Gefühl, sie möchten lieber doch noch irgendwie von einem ICO profitieren oder hoffen das ein ranziger Coin nochmal zum Leben erweckt wird. Dass man das Geld dabei gar nicht ausgeben kann scheint kaum Beachtung zu finden und es gibt irgendwie noch weniger Bemühungen das zu ändern. Leute die zu wenig flüssige Mittel haben und somit den Kurs nicht manipulieren können müssen eben "Werbung" für ihre Coins machen. Wir wären somit wieder bei Spekulation und (indirekter) Manipulation. In diesem Firmenumfeld wird Anonymität aber nicht benötigt - die Firma muss ihre Kunden und Partner schliesslich mit ihrer echten Identität kennen, wenn da Verträge geschlossen werden. Auch eine Trennung zwischen - ich nenns jetzt mal so - Garbagecoins und Altcoins findet nicht statt. Und da denke ich könnte man konkret ansetzten. Quasi einen Verband aus den grössten Altcoins und einer Business-Plattform mit Ausweispflicht in der sich diese beiden Welten ohne anrüchige Atmosphäre begegnen können. In welcher die Firmen auch einen gewohnten Business-Support erhalten, auf den sie sich verlassen können wie sie es auch auf den Support von z.b. Visa/Mastercard können. Sowie der Möglichkeit natürlich, die erhalten Crypto-Zahlung mittels Dienstleister direkt in die Landeswährung zu wandeln. Das stimmt nicht ganz. Ich habe im Moment leider keine Quelle griffbereit, aber ich erinnere mich an einen Artikel über die Allianz Versicherung. Laut dem besagten Artikel hat die Allianz die Transparenz von Bitcoin Transaktionen bemängelt, da dadurch zu viele Informationen für den Markt einsehbar sind. Ich bin mir sicher, dass es viele Firmen gibt, die Transaktionen vertraulich behandel wollen. |

Yes, you can link as much addresses as you want. You can link all BTC addresses to just one Byteball address or you can create several Byteball addresses and link every BTC address. It depends how you want to do this. |

Lisk is really good. It might be the next big thing. It is much better than Stratis because it is programmed in Java!
I wouldn't judge this... I think Lisk and Stratis will be in the top 5 in some month. Both teams do a realy great job. Java or C# doesn't mather. I think there are enough usecases for both. |

Bin gespannt wie sich das auf den Preis auswirken wird - ich gehe mal von einem deutlichen Preisanstieg aus, da sicherlich viele heute und morgen kaufen und ebenfalls einen Preisanstieg erhoffen. Wie nachhaltig dieser Preisanstieg ist, wird dann das Trading Volume auf HitBTC zeigen. So, die HitBTC Listung hatte überhaupt keinen Einfluss auf den Preis. Das ist auch nicht verwunderlich, wenn man sich die Handelsvolumen etwas genauer ansieht (24h Volumen - abgerufen am 2.7.2017 um 15:24 von coinmarketcap): - Gesamthandelsvolumen: $5,530,250
- Poloniex: $2,999,450
- Bittrex: $2,457,840
- HitBTC: $49,156
HitBTC trägt also nur 0,88% zum Gesamthandelsvolumen bei. Es müsste schon eine größere Börse, am besten im asiatischen Raum, aufspringen damit der Kurs durch eine neue Listung gepusht werden kann. |

In 2013 there was no business behind bitcoin and altcoins. 2013 was a pure FOMO hype - and for sure it was a bubble - and when it popped it went down crazy. Today is different. Altcoins and Bitcoin have a working economy and they are used in places at the world where fiat is failing. Absolutely none of these altcoins are used anywhere. At all. A select few of them have some vague interest from a couple of companies, but none have actually achieved anywhere significant. And Bitcoin's merchant adoption in no way justifies its price. Volume is dropping, technical indicators look bad. I see this as a natural movement in the hype cycle. Soon enough we'll find out again what the price should have been if it weren't for these crazy bull runs. Agree with you, absolutely. But it is still better than in 2013 (there the gains were much higher in % and there was absolutely no business behind bitcoin – only in darknet). But: Bitcoin has a huge usecase at the moment. Bitcoin is used massive in countries with high inflation (the volatility in bitcoin is acceptable there, because of the hyperinflation…) |

GUP price is too cheap now. After selling at 18-20k we have a chance to buy at 10k again. I think this will be a good investment. Volume is still so low, you can buy now before whales move the coin upwards this summer.
Could somebody tell us what the ICO price of GUP was. I only measure the actual price vs. the ICO price and based on this ratio I decide if it is "cheap" or "expensive". |

How price ICO for 1 XEL ??  600-700sat I remember that it was about 800 sat. So all investors already made a realy nice profit (remember the BTC price when the ICO happend - I think it was between 700-900 USD). So actually a wonderful profit if you measure in USD. |
