1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Passive income on: July 26, 2021, 05:40:26 AM
What are some of the best ways to earn passive income right now? I was thinking about staking $CAKE, just staking it and not using liquidity farms. But not sure how profitable that would be, compared to some other methods. I have a 5000$ capital.

To my mind, the only profitable sphere now is NFT gaming, but it is not about passive incomes. So if you don't want to do anything and just get profit, the best choice for you is to invest in fundamental currencies in the long term and also stake them. Pancakeswap is a good, reliable project, so try it. But in terms of staking, don't invest in new defi projects now, as you will earn their native tokens that fall in the first three days and then don't return to previous levels.

My Defi Pets will have staking of their DPET tokens in the game and players will also be allowed to stake their own pets and they can also lend the pets. The tokens are becoming expensive though, it’s about $8 - $9 per coin now but with only a $60,000,000 marketcap.

Thank you.

The project is dead. rico666 brought it some hope but nixops and his girlfriend spread rumors and FUD then the community listened and they killed it. Burst will never go back to all time highs again.

And what kind of development can we talk about if a group of amateurs without funding and investor investments in their free time from other work is engaged in Burst.

What's the difference with the current set of developers that Burst has now? I think the most professional group of developers that Burst had was the group of rico666. He coordinated everything from technical development, community development and marketing development.

I have a counter question, but where did this rico666 go? Why did he abandon Burst? As I understand it, no one kicked him out of the project and took him away by force.
After reading the Burst discord, where the current development team quickly and intelligibly explained that they are enthusiasts and are working on Burst to the best of their strength and capabilities. There are few of them, they do not have funding from outside. Therefore, to promote Burst by buying bots for advertising in social networks, messengers, etc. they have no funds. They also clearly said that memes and tweets about Burst from Elon Musk, or Kim Kardashian are also not worth waiting for, because it costs a lot of money.
Therefore, they welcome any help from the community! Tweets, memes, retweets, likes, any kind of advertising or promotion Burst in social networks, forums, messengers, on airplanes, airships, starships, Biden's underpants, etc.

rico666 and team didn’t abandon BURST. It was the majority of the community siding with nixops when nixops accused rico666 and his team of making impossible goals for the project. Where is nixops now? Where is his “I will fight with code” talk? He is a scammer.

What are you talking about buying bots for advertising and marketing? Is that the new team’s plan? rico666’s plans were development of the coin to improve it. They also were self funded and bought many of their coins in the spot market.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: the next bubble? NFT! on: July 26, 2021, 05:15:28 AM
Ok NFTs are nice and fun and we have seen a growth during the last months/years.
but the market has no limit, and prices are out of any logic!
I am not sure if all of these items sold for thousands and thousands of USD will have the same high value after 5-10 years.

Take as example CryptoKitties, most of them have literally no value despite were sold or created for "real" money.
Most of users have tons of kitties that have no interest or value....

What are your thoughts about NFTs?
surely the euphoria of crypto-based nft games will end but for now, you can maximize it. I played in my defi pet, cryptoblade and axie infinity, I am ready for the possibility of things that will happen and believe all three are not bubbles.

I agree with you. Besides my interest in investing in proof of work alternative coins like CHIA, I also am optimistic about the future of NFT play to earn blockchain games. Axie AXS and Cryptoblades SKILL tokens are pulling back right now but My Defi Pet’s DPET token is only starting to pump. But if looking at their marketcap, all are under $100 million. These games marketcaps will be in the bubble if they are in the billions.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chia Cryptocurrency on: July 26, 2021, 05:02:40 AM
Is there in ANN thread created for CHIA in the forum?

The project is becoming very big in China and I think the Chinese miners who dont have the capability to move out of China will be selling their rigs to buy equipment to farm CHIA.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wrapped Doge? on: March 26, 2021, 01:45:29 AM
It doesn't exist on ethereum chain. It could be a good idea but the main concern should be the tx fees of doge is quite cheaper compared ethereum and why don't use doge directly instead use wrapping doge coin? if it's only caused by uniswap or another swap protocol and that could not be a good reason to issue the wrapped doge coin.
I don't even think people wanna waste their money to trade WDOGE just to pay the fees

DOGE can't be used directly for smart contracts because its scripting language is limited. The fact that developers have abandoned the project altogether, tells us that adapting DOGE for smart contracts is nothing more than a distant dream. Creating a "Wrapped" version of DOGE on an existing smart contract platform would be the ideal solution here. A legitimate "WDOGE" token on the ETH blockchain would do the trick. Yet, no developer has been interested in making it a reality because of the lack of demand for DOGE-related smart contracts. People only rely on Dogecoin as a speculative instrument anyways. At least, the idea is there. Making it a reality is another story.

Nonetheless, no one knows what will happen in the future. Everything will depend on mainstream adoption, more than anything else. If DOGE remains popular in the mainstream world, there's a possibility someone will create a "Wrapped" version of DOGE on an existing smart contract platform. It doesn't matter which cryptocurrency it is, as long as the same is useful for the world. We already have "Wrapped Bitcoin" so adding "Wrapped DOGE" to the market would be something optional than necessary for the industry to thrive. Just my thoughts Grin

What would be the value for the user? It would be better to hold the platform's native token and use that to interact with the dApps. Are you thinking Uniswap or Sushi will bring value back to Dogecoin?
7  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Made a Crash predictor and need beta testers before selling it! on: March 26, 2021, 01:30:53 AM
Nonsense. Don't you people get tired of trying to scam gamblers in this manner? This silly scam won't work since I have observed similar threads like this one advertising crash predictions come and go in recent times.

Even if you legitimately found an exploit in Roobet, taking advantage of it is illegal and helping others take advantage of it is illegal too. Don't fall for this crap people.

Someone might have told on Roobet and Roobet would have fixed the exploit by now lol. "Selling the software" to newbies is the final stage of profiting from the project if the project team really found an exploit.
8  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Why is there not more supply and demand for empty Physical Bitcoin? on: March 26, 2021, 01:21:02 AM
What would be the value of physical Bitcoin for the users and how does make storage, its main use case for now, better and safer from theft?

Having that said, you are asking the wrong question. It's the market the creates the demand for the product. So what is wrong with the product?
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Declares War on Bitcoin (?) on: March 24, 2021, 04:34:40 AM
Other countries that hate Bitcoin will follow China's ban on mining if it is successful. This makes a good reasoning for research and tests on low energy forms of mining like Proof of Space and Time and Proof of Capacity. The wasteful use of electricity must stop.
This is not a war against bitcoin. It is stupid to create conditions for making it difficult to get bitcoins and consider it a war against him. Is it possible for the Chinese government to damage bitcoin by doing this, even if it achieves a complete cessation of bitcoin mining on its territory? Of course not. Even if absolutely all states unite and somehow make it impossible to mine it, then this will not be fatal for bitcoin. After all, about 18 million out of 21 million bitcoins have already been created in the world. Only created bitcoins will be used. However, Bitcoin, if it is banned from mining in China, will continue to be mined in other countries. Therefore, this decision of the Chinese government is more economic in nature.

Okay, it's not a war against Bitcoin but it's a war on mining Bitcoin which is essential for Bitcoin to continue working. But the same problem. Mining Bitcoin has become very professionalized that securing it with the computing power it needs will not be enough without a license.

Well, do you think that it is really the main reason why China is banning it??
Its just being said to the public so that people will use the CCP's own digital currency which is the Digital Yuan than Bitcoin.

In reality, the CCP just want to use their authority and wants everything in their country to be controlled by them including this thing. They've tried it on 2017 but they failed badly and now they are doing it again. I don't think that they will be successful on this one though and I don't think too that more anti-Bitcoin countries will support them.

I think they wont be successful but high electricity usage and the professionalized mining is becoming an attack vector. The CCP can take licenses away and tax them so high to make it unprofitable them to mine.

Proof of Space and Time would make mining cheaper for the users, more decentralized and exponentially less damaging to the environment.

I think a coin reviews segment for the site would a good addition and let users submit reviews and other content like what bitsoldier suggested.

Is this your first try to build a website?

It's safe to say that Burst is dead after 3 or more dev teams has failed. One of them had ambitions but what did the Burst community do? We threw them out because a scammer dev, nixops, said he will take over.

Having that said, Chia is the only hope for environment friendly, green mining. Mainnet will be online by March 20.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burstcoin | Proof of Capacity | Smart Contracts | Green Mining on: July 11, 2019, 04:33:05 AM
Nice improvements!

Implemented CIP19 - View incoming & outgoing multi-out transactions in the UI

I can only repeat myself, thats great for every miner. I hope one day the discussion about green mining becomes actual again and many people recognise the real value of burstcoin.

I hope so. Chia can be online within 2 years. I personally know some Burst miners who will not hesitate to delete their plots and replot to mine Chia.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Chia. Proofs of Space and Time technical paper. on: July 11, 2019, 04:26:53 AM
Bran Cohen released his new project's green paper.

https://www.chia.net/assets/ChiaGreenPaper.pdf

Its very technical and harder to follow unlike Satoshi's white paper. I hope some developers will read and share constructive criticisms. Proof of Space and Time can be the final solution to Proof of Work's wastefulness.

The Burst SubReddit has been taken over by u/Cryptonical who has removed all of the community moderator's privileges. Any announcements made by him are NOT official Burst Project announcements. We can only assume that has ill intentions towards the project by doing that.

Twitter Announcement - https://twitter.com/GetBURST/status/1144399815121313792?s=20

How has he taken the subreddit over? Who gave him complete admin privileges? rico666 and his team didnt even have total control of the subreddit.

I can see nixops is still a moderator. Which part of the community was kicked? Is this community politics again?
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of Capacity as a replacement for Proof of Work. on: April 22, 2019, 04:18:59 AM
I recently asked some questions on grinding attacks in

https://www.reddit.com/r/burstcoin/comments/a98tj4/grinding_attacks/

but got no satisfying answers. One replier got quite upset when I suggested that proof of capacity should not be proof of disk bandwidth.

I was aware of that Reddit thread. Sorry for the long time to make the reply, I was on vacation. I will try to get nixops and answer you in here. I think some people who flamed you away didnt know anything too and didnt want knowing any weaknesses and limitations in Proof of Capacity lol.

Is rico666 still active in his development of this project? He left the Burst community in not so good terms but his and his team's cleaning up of the Burst codebase is appreciated. I would like to know what other projects hes been busy doing.

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Burstcoin [BURST] Price Speculation on: April 22, 2019, 03:53:46 AM
Its BRS 2.3.0 now. Everyone should update and keep every node on the Burst network together. Burst is still going strong even though the PoCC left. Their job in cleaning up the codebase is appreciated. Ty.

I hope they come back and maintain it more without adding extra features that might not work. I admit that I felt stupid for accepting without verifying that the Dymaxion would work. I felt scammed lol.

Having that said Do Your Part! Everyone Update to BRS v2.3.0
