Vorksholk do you have a GPU miner working now? If so could you share it with the rest of us please? Smiley

Well, that's the last thing someone would do.
Check the Block explorer, Vorksholk is getting nearly ervery block in the last 2 hours.

He said earlier in this thread he rented a couple of servers. He might of just added more.

I'll test my watts later this weekend. I need to dust off my UPS and check for at the wall settings.

I tried lowering the voltage for the 470s but kept getting restarts so I just set the voltage to automatic and used a rom I found for the MSI 470.

Windows 7 didn't work for 7 gpus even with the 6gpu mod. I had to upgrade to windows 10.

During the upgrade it warned me that my modified bios GPUs wouldn't be compatible with Windows 10. I said pshh and did it anyway. All the 470s had code 43 errors after the upgrade. Reinstalled the drivers with DDU, amd cleanup utility and CCleaner (for leftover registry entries). Use the windows 10 drivers to reinstall.

After that all 7 were detected. Although I might have added the non 470s one by one after that, can't remember. I'll post some pics this weekend.

Not trying to spread FUD but it would be nothing short of absurd if any exchange picked this coin up in 6 months lets alone the end of the year.

Why is that? Not enough coins yet or other reasons?

There is no RPC access, there is no easy way to integrate this kind of account system into existing exchange system, the fact that exchanges have to buy/mine new accounts. I'm sure there are work arounds but this coin really needs to take off (50k+ sat per coin + high OTC volume) to get interest from an exchange capable of implementing this coin.

As I know the solution to implement this new coin in an exchange would be easy.

Exchanges only need one account, only one, and they, internally, assign an account "number" to their users. So, If I want to send my coins to the exchange I will send it to the exchange account and I only have to specify in the message that this amount will be for the number account that exchange have assigned me... I think it is an easy way to handle this subject of account... it doesn't matter if account are REAL or ASSIGNED BY EXCHANGE, in both cases we donīt control the private keys of these accounts so they are as safe as the "normal" system.

At least I think so...

(I'm sorry for my bad english)

Everyone would have the same deposit address. This wouldn't work.

EDIT: Didn't read the part about using messages. Could be possible.

not that i know of bittrex looking into it and another exchange too as far as i know. no word about adding it but id expect this month and if it popularity explodes then all exchanges will be chasing it. look how long it took Monero to be added to a exchange.

Couldn't we just send 1 account first and then deposit our funds to the exchange?

Then if we want to sell our pascals we need to send another account for the buyer.

Large scale trading we still probably be an issue.

I like the idea of this thread but instead of just linking the threads, maybe post a link to each available bios with a screenshot of settings for that particular bios. Or the polaris bios editor screenshot to make the bios yourself.

Also have the authors of the bios next to each with a BTC donation address.

Just my 0.2

Devs, we need a white paper and roadmap to see if we could even be of any assistance.

The coin needs goals and whatnot.

I would like to thank Phil, Iegion and xleejohnx for helping get this far! THANK YOU!

Situation:

I have 6 MSI RX 470X GPUs running:
-each gpu hashing  = 23.5mh
-total system hashing  = 141.2mh
-ave wattage = 94W (range 86-104)
-total system Watts = 1115W
-total system Amps = 9.61A
-2 Antec 750 Platinum PSUs
-Motherboard = MSI Z97 Gaming 5

Question:

I am planning to goto 28mh on each gpu.

1) Would you recommend adding another gpu?

2) How many watts would going from 23.5 to 28mh add to the system?

3) Has anyone done 7 gpu's?

6 x 470 with 1000w or 1300w PSU should do it, avoiding using 2 x PSU which can introduce more complicated issues with power distribution.

Adding a 7th card will surely increase wattage and you motherboard will need to have more than 6 x PCI slots, unless using a multiplexor

I have a R7 370 x 7 using a 1-to-3 PCI multiplexor, running Win7, running strong with CDM v7.2, Crimson 16.9.2, drawing about 1200w from a EVGA 1600-G2.

7 x GPUs max on Windows, 8 x GPUs if using registry modded Windows Advanced Server, otherwise Linux can go beyond 6 with ease.

To increase hash.... if you adventurous ... you can mod your rom ... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1584617.msg16476759#msg16476759

I've got 7 going right now on the msi gaming 5. You need a 16x to 16x riser for the main pcie port and windows 10.

Its a mixed GPU rig: 4 msi 4g 470s at 27.5mh, one 370, one 380, and a 1070.

Yes, but those results seem to be the BitcoinMiner Results.. i'm not 100% sure but they look "ok" to me.

Can anyone tell if he's mining with the Miner on windows ? all good ?
Me was minning on the miner all is good.

I figured it was good when the original cpuminer got like 48/55 haha. I used it last night and this morning I only had 2 XZC pending in my account.

Could just be the diff growth though.

I like the logo but I think a coal miner pick axe might look a little cleaner.

Diff. just went up a ton.

Website looks nice. Clean layout.

Definitely need a white paper and block explorer though.

I'll take 5 boards with the braided cables. Also a HP common slot breakout board if I can add that to this to ship all at once.

Thanks
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.1 (Windows/Linux) on: September 27, 2016, 01:32:44 PM
Claymore in 7.1 when i mixed a tonga card with a 370, 470 and 390 they all got listed as tonga cards.

I think on mixed GPU rigs there's a bug in 7.1 when one card is a tonga. Works fine in 7.0 and below.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Proposed guideline changes for new coin ANN (mods please read) on: September 26, 2016, 03:31:37 PM
Even just a separation from the ASIC coins and GPU coins would be nice.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gauging interest around some custom hardware and cabling for GPU rigs on: September 23, 2016, 06:49:11 PM
Will the cables you offer only be 1 molex adapter per cable? Will you make cables with 2 or 3 molex adapters?

Also 2 more questions that may be a little off topic. Sidehack does your breakout board work with the HP 1500watt PSU?

And what adapter should I buy for server PSUs with the Blue plug. All my server PSUs with the black plug work but the blue ones I think are designed for 240v. Is there a C13 or C14 adapter I can by to run off the standard american 120v outlets?

Thanks
