The problem with a lot of altcoins is the large supply, they have one new cool feature, eventually forked in all similar coins, but i have not yet seen demurrage forked into many coins.
It seems to me that reducing supply at an aggressive rate and then steady would motivate circulation of coins, and probably give a nice steady rise to them. This would work well for coins that are actually useful and used.

it's 95% down from the value of the PTS on bter.
Bter PTS is still frozen. Also old PTS v1 had what 700-800 thousand, new DPOS PTS has 1 billion so the price should be expected to equalize at hopefully the same marketcap adjusted for new supply size.. and yes Polo is on the new version per: TheSherpa: OldManKidd, sorry to bug ya, is this the new protoshares blockchain or reopened trading on the old one? OldManKidd: TheSherpa, its the updated Hopefully Bter reopens it soon! so do you get the same proportion to market cap on the new blockchain as you had on the old? there was only 700 thousand market cap for PTS v1 !!?? Yes, proportion is exactly the same, only scaled by a factor of about 567x. In other words, multiply your "old" PTS by 567 to get your stake in the new chain. Looks like the market cap has taken quite a jump, but time will tell. damn it i tried a large TX and it's not going anywhere, doesn't seem to have been broadcast yet, anyway to stop this?
Unfortunately there is no way to stop a transaction that has already been broadcast (if it was picked up by the network, which you may not yet see). Was this a withdrawal from an exchange? You have about a week left until the snapshot, so chances are that the transaction will confirm in that time. If you are using Bter they will honor the snapshot anyway, so you should have nothing to worry about, even if the transaction is not confirmed. No its from my wallet to bter, there's about one confirmation so far (according to my wallet), but i don't see it on bter, not even as pending deposit. edit: 2 confirmations according to wallet... edit2: Resolved, it's through. |

What do you mean? The PLAY snapshot of PTS was on November 5th. NO PLAY dac is on the 15th dec ,,, so there no way in hell i will be removing my PTS to my wallet ....( which will prob take 2 week for confirmations ) you should be asking all exchange to honor the snapshot No, Play is on 8th December for BitShares. I have the same username in LitecoinTalk, i ordered FPGA's early this year and you refunded me (80-90%, after running after you for over 2 months and arguing) however a person i advised to buy your products received them (2-3 months late) but has no time to run after you for a refund, as he is very busy.
He gave me half his boxes and told me to see what i could do with them, so far i have opened just 1, 1-2 months after he received them, and by then FPGA mining was out of the question even for Scrypt. You never /rarely respond on litecointalk, however i did notice mention of possibility to send th FPGA's back and after messaging you never got a response.
Hopefully you will message me here about the process i can help my friend through to send back/obtain this significant refund.
