I'm running the latest Claymore 9.4 on Windows 10 Home with AMD 16.9.2 drivers and every now and then I'm seeing this in the logs

Modded Gigabyte RX 480 G1 4 gig cards.

14:25:20:948 1f38 WATCHDOG: GPU error, you need to restart miner :(
14:25:20:964 1f38 Rebooting

And in my windows 10 event viewer under applications this error crops up..

Faulting application name: RadeonSettings.exe, version: 10.1.1.1682

Any idea what I could do.. should I switch drivers, I cant recall the range numbers of the ones that do not need the amd pixel clock fix.

I also added -r 1 with reboot.bat in my folder so hopefully it will just run this and restart the miner.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Repurpose old MB for ETH Mining (EX58 UD5) on: May 17, 2017, 08:52:40 PM
I have a few of these GA-EX5 UD5 MB's laying around with ram, cpu and power supplies.  I was looking at the diagram and it *seems* like in theory I could run 5 graphic cards off of it for mining.

Anyone used this board or have any suggestions for it?

Hey guys, I'm wondering what 470 4 gig or 480 4 gig cards people are buying these days.  I have a few 470's I had ages ago but everywhere I search these days they are out of stock or no longer selling them.  I'm in the process
of setting up a 6 card system and just wanted some advice on current cards you can buy from Amazon or NewEgg that get anywhere in the range of 27-29 depending on card.

Yes this thread has a lot of posts but most pointing to cards you cannot get anymore.

Cheers!

Anyone Happen to have a Mac Binary of Genoil miner.. ?

I tried to compile it and posted an issue on the github but no replies.

Genoil has stopped the development and support of the miner a while ago, so you probably won't get an answer there, many people have struggled with building on OSX and i'm not aware of any public binaries, so be careful if someone sends you one.

Yea I figured as much, was just looking to mine while my hackintosh was idle .. have other windows miners going though.

Anyone have recommendations now how to push the card a bit faster with out crashing/blue screening on windows 7.

I have a SAPPHIRE Radeon RX 470 DirectX 12 100407-4GOCL 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card.

Memory is Hynix 4 GB

I flashed the bios with making changes only to the On TIMING (MHz) area 1500 to 1625, 1750 and 2000.
Downloaded TriXX and made first adjustments based upon some videos of GPU/Memory Clock of 1050/2000.

This was not stable and crashed.

Now Im sorta stuck in the close to 26 Mh/s range.

Note this is a single gpu in this system.

Any suggestions on how to push it a bit further while not crashing ? Tongue

Just a quick update since it seems to be running stable I made some changes.. However I know im pulling more power from the wall here is what I have now with this card.

Average 28.7 Mh/s
TriXX Settings:

GPU Clock 1150
Memory Clock 2000
-60mV
Power Limit 12%
Fan: 61%

Ill let it run over night to see how it does.

We have a batch of Habaneros that have been sitting around for 2+ months now while their owner waited to pay their bill, we've now put them up in the store.
https://peppermining.com/shop/the-habanero/
Ignore the description, they don't include a time machine. I'll update it soon.
Once these go there will be some additional units without backplates that we'll price lower (TBD).

$600 .... waaaaaay overpriced. WAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY! overpriced ... =P

Much as I love these things, just cant justify it at that price.

What? You would have us give them away for free? Smiley j/k

You're probably SOL. I had to re-purpose and old laptop and slap Ubuntu on it to run the hftool.

That is correct the HF tools where never made to run under windows.. best bet would be to create a VM image with virtualbox or as mentioned above take a old computer or notebook and get ubuntu 13.x installed on it.
59  Economy / Computer hardware / Approximately 13Th for Sale (US only) on: July 14, 2014, 07:36:55 PM
Make me a reasonable offer via PM.

10 4u boxes with 2 psu's each cranking out about 1.2-1.4 Th/s per box based upon cooling and ambient temps.
Includes Boxes, power cables, and usb cables.  You will need your own host.  Up to 5 boxes can be linked to a host.
Shipping is not included.
60  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: HF - Tool to set voltages on: June 18, 2014, 08:20:29 PM

I've installed a new 13.10 ubuntu and set my card with hf-tool to 980@950, 980@950, 980@925, 980@925.  So I want two dies to run at 950, and two at 925.

When I run cgminer with hfa-hash-clock 1, all the dies are running at 925?

Am I misunderstanding how --hfa-hash-clock 1 works?

No, and this could just be a bug in cgm.. just to be clear nobody has released the stuff we have so this is still new, and with multi die settings their are bound to be things that cgm isn't accounting for.
