361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should we be expecting a bull run? on: February 26, 2019, 05:25:04 PM
I don't see any moon now. We are still very much in the bear market and I don't see that changing anytime soon because the major events that can moon crypto (events like Bakkt, ETF or bitcoin halving) will not happen anytime soon. I think the bakkt and ETF are purposely used by the authorities to manipulate the cryptocurrency market, that's why it is being postponed every time. For me, bull run will likely happen in ending of 2020 or early 2021

Isn't Bakkt and ETF going to be decide next month?

I don't see if the sudden rise is due to the expectation of investors as to what would happen when Bakkt is launched but they see this to be an opportunity. IF all are going to  happen then you wouldn't have to wait for 2020 anymore.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [PRESALE] Jarvis - Hybrid multi-asset exchange | DApp browser | Revenue token on: February 26, 2019, 04:44:07 PM
Many projects have failed and were abandoned because of a lack of a B plan, it really makes me more hopeful, but with the recent market reaction, I think it's possible that these 60k multiply by a more pleasant sum

Well, plan B and C, whatever happens, Jarvis will be launched. Even with delay. We are not here to take the cash and do something else after. We are here to stay, and to dedicate our life to this project, and this technology called Blockchain.

Well, but thing that makes your exchange unique is an attempt combine crypto and stock market. Do you have some agreement with non-crypto companies which shares will be trading on your exchange?

Would love to know the answer to this question as well! Getting into crypto is easy, getting a foot in the door of traditional finance isn't

Jarvis project has plan A, B and C ad is all about collecting coins invested to their project. They will keep doing this until they find a way for the project to convert into STO and bounties will not be distributed like how Desico did. Currently, they are doing the Bounty campaign 2.0 and there will be 3.0 too. If they really have the compassion to develop the project develop it and start with a price like 0.001USD per token.
363  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHY THE SUDDEN DUMP WITHOUT ANY MAJOR NEWS? on: February 25, 2019, 05:09:28 PM

In every action there is an equal reaction. so if there is a sudden rise, there could be a sudden dump. Although we know there is manipulation here there are however people who really want to take profit and accumulate more coins and those who acted like they panic are the ones going to make better profit as they just knew when to buy back.
364  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Business idea and i also looking for possible partner investor on: February 25, 2019, 04:32:22 PM

Well is not a unique idea but it can be done with just a single person. Web developer, a smart contract and a marketing staff to get more people to use your ad site. Marketing might not be so easy, you can target the users of this forum but they will surely know where to do to post an AD here in the forum than on your website, the bitcoin job site is struggling still after years, yours would probably be going to same direction. Good luck finding a partner.
365  Economy / Economics / Re: A Blockchain Project that cannnot be resisted on: February 23, 2019, 09:52:49 AM

I doubt if this additional income will cause inflation. It is not really free money per-see. It is more like  financial incentive for patronage and hardwork. People don't realize that Bitcoin and major altcoins print money out of thin air to reward network participants. Hard work is being paid for in this case and this does not cause inflation. By the way, coins will be printed automatically at fixed amount. No individual can decide to print as he/she wishes

Its true that hardfork are like coins out of thin air but those hardforked coins are supported by a community, you would have to have a community before your stablecoin shall be stable. Also if it can't be withdrawn, that's a problem because crypto community likes to have thier own bank regardless of whether its a stablecoin or not.
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are altcoins backed by? on: February 22, 2019, 07:29:20 PM

Can we say altcoins are backed by Bitcoin?

Generally its what I see here althgouh altcoins are paired with BTC, those altcoins depend to the price of BTC.  Grin Prices vary to the kind of market, if the market is having a crisis just as how 2018 were then prices are backed by fear. When prices skyrockets, its backed by hope.
367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best new way to pay with Bitcoin on: February 22, 2019, 07:08:53 PM
I'm very excited for the new Samsung S10!! Looks like Bitcoin is at the top. Anyone else waiting to get their hands on this?

"The app appears to support ether (ETH) and bitcoin (BTC) by default, as there are logos for the two displayed in the Blockchain Keystore introduction image. Further, there is a cryptocurrency/token “add” button, so users will presumably be able to use other cryptocurrencies and ethereum-based ERC-20 tokens via the wallet."

https://www.coindesk.com/hands-on-preview-of-samsungs-galaxy-s10-phone-reveals-new-crypto-details
so meaning.bitcoin has been adapted little by little with this big companies. This is a good news especially to bitcoin holders. We can expect a good market price increase as bitcoin market price increases. Just do more patience and wait for some good news and one will not regret holding bitcoin in the near future.

It sort of. Seem the future is bright for crypto users. I'm currently using an old Samsung unit but if an update can make me test such, I might update the phone in that case.
Big companies like Samsung and all other likes can definitely make adoption faster as we all are using phones. Its not the one I expect to happen actually, I was thinking of popular ecommerce site like alibaba or amazon that will start all these.
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think about Bitcoin Gold? on: February 21, 2019, 06:15:38 PM

Its fascinating that a coin with BTC on it can be valuable over time, Has any on you noticed that Bitcoiin? "BITCOIIN" (B2G) has good value. Sooner BTC2 probably would have good value too. Forks is the easiest to make money, Roger Ver and Crack Wright must have known it long before anyone figured it out.

Should we be expecting a bull run?

Everyone is expecting. It would be silly if you are not while we have bought more coins. I could dump but seeing the price keeps growing I decided not to because I might just lose the biggest spikes once again. What else is the expect if you are not expecting bullrun? For a holder, its the least that you would be praying to satoshi.
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Another trap for ETH? on: February 20, 2019, 08:30:56 PM

Looks like its not going to drop though. But there isn't just a sure way of telling if this is a bullrun.  I'm however done with ETH, I'm more of EOS this time. ETH is just not going to work when its going to be be forked every now and then. The solution would be to move to EOS, its not going to be be forked which is pretty fair.
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A question to all ICO investors. on: February 20, 2019, 06:55:53 PM
What are the biggest sources, channels (YouTube channels/influencers, Twitter accounts/influencers etc, ICO rating websites) online that you use to find out in which ICO to invest in?

I use to look at tokenmarket where they feature upcoming ICO, they add some extra description to give you an idea what the project is about. Its quite overwhelming to see so much projects that are coming you can't even begin to see which one is going to be supported by big names in the crypto world. Binance also have some of the news about the upcoming projects, that's where I knew about BTT.
372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk calls crypto “quite energy intensive” on: February 20, 2019, 06:16:18 PM

He isn't sure whether its something to be concerned of which I think its fair to say. But its true that Bitcoin spend so much energy upon mining blocks. There is no changing these settings any more though unless we'd have to reboot over again which is highly unlikely.

So is Bitcoin a threat to global warming?
I'm not sure too. I can't believe the media today, maybe they lied about global warming, they may even be lying about the earth being round.
373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question About Golden Visa - Invest with BTC on: February 19, 2019, 07:19:24 PM

If you want citizenship, why not just try to marry someone in the country? I think you can arrange things for this.

Is the easiest that you can do, I see you don't have problems with money, you can buy a property after that. BTC to fiat is the first thing to do if you wanna buy a property, don't try to force your way to buy using BTC. You know its not possible as of now. You can file a divorce later.
374  Economy / Speculation / Re: CRYPTOS TO THE MOON???? on: February 19, 2019, 07:02:22 PM
Actually, I haven't visited CMC for a while so I have no idea that the price go up like this Smiley. The graph not only of bitcoin but as well as major alts such as eth and xrp looks great. However, it's too early to conclude that the bull is approaching.. I guess let's wait further for the meantime, if this trend continue for the upcoming months then no doubt that the bearish days is now over.

You're lying. Everyone checks the prices almost every hour.

If it goes $4500 sooner than a week from now, I might be able to hold my bag of altcoins till I see bitcoin go up to $20k. Too early to say but seems like the good old days are back. We might be seeing projects raising more funds later.  I'd better checking upcoming ICO every now and then.
375  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Africa buy and sell of Crypto on the increase? on: February 19, 2019, 06:13:23 PM

Given that they do have access to an asset like BTC, they certainly will be buying. Countries in Asia and some other 3rd world users are buying so there is no one is prohibiting Africans from investing in crypto.

Africans were much aware of cryptocurrencies, out of the same they use it much on trading and marketplace needs. Recently cryptocurrency have increased marking a change on the global crypto market. Even for small business needs Africans used bitcoin because to avoid carrying big volume of currencies that were under inflation.

There must be a market there as there is in any country which I guess cryptocurrencies like BTC is popular enough.
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: February 18, 2019, 07:02:02 PM

Do you have a product implemented on Waves? Or maybe a great idea how to use Waves blockchain?

Join #BuildOnWaves competition and win up to 500 WAVES!

Learn more about the competition: https://medium.com/waves-lab/waves-labs-launches-1-000-waves-competition-to-encourage-developers-to-share-their-projects-dd0c278c4770

1000WAVES is good prize. Nice contest there But tweets has limited amount of characters, it wouldn't be enough to express an idea of the project for #buildonwaves. Also they should indicate the new ideas not the ones that are already on other platforms like projects on EOS or ETH.  Would they consider the winner be part of the project when its being developed?
377  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is this the beginning of the arrival of a bull run? on: February 18, 2019, 06:47:38 PM

Prices looks very positive but I doubt it to be real, price could go up gradually up to 15% in a month but it could also drop to -50% in less than a hour. I'm not really optimistic about the bullrun to happen too soon. At least I'm expecting to happen by 2020, this isn't helping a healthy economy if this is happening again. If BTC turns $4k sooner, I'm seeing a huge dump after.
378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to make Bitcoin more approachable to common users on: February 18, 2019, 06:05:43 PM

Do not worry about making it approachable to common users, they will come eventually. They were even here even when they know nothing about bitcoin, its the returns that will make them wanna come into crypto. If they wanna be involved, they will take into considerable as to how to technology works and what are necessary things to know like trading and to own some coins.
379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A world of opportunities for freelancers on: February 16, 2019, 07:52:32 PM
There are still less than 10% of the people in the world are using bitcoin or crypto, we haven't have the considerable population that we can consider the crypto to have been adopted. Freelancers who even knew bitcoin exist are still skeptical about it, take my brother in law who works as a web developer, I gave him 3 ETH to start with but yep, he just keep it hope he won't lose access to the wallet. People are not open to new things like a gibberish alphanumeric wallet address.
380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: J.P. Morgan 2017 - 2019 on: February 16, 2019, 06:29:33 PM

I wasn't really aware about him regretting saying bitcoin is a scam. If he said that last year he must have dumped his coin at the ATH and have gained. The only person who shall willingly say regretting what he said are the person who gained a lot. I wouldn't be surprise if this JPMcoin is the scam just as how tether once did.
