381  Economy / Economics / Re: Coinbase Now Lets You Backup Your Keyphrase In Google Drive And iCloud on: February 16, 2019, 06:11:39 PM

You mean we send our privekey to the cloud? lol  If you remember the flappenning where the nude photos of celebrities are leaked? These kind of exploit can always happen again, how much more if there are millions of money to be taken from the wallets. The cloud will be the first target of these hackers. This is one of the craziest idea, congrats to the person who has the brightest who suggested this,.
382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we not abusing decentralization? on: February 15, 2019, 08:20:16 PM

Yep I believe we have abused decentralization. When a certain group has divided their idea, the solution is to fork and not to find a way to compromise what is to be compromised so they divide the community as well. It doesn't seem like we become decentralized in such a way but we seem to be bound to fail when all are divided but this again will fall to the discussion of greed and money. A forked coin was again forked, you can just do it forever I wouldn't wish to live by the time its the son of Roger ver that will fork another forked coin.
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bullish trend has commence! on: February 15, 2019, 07:53:33 PM

People still kept selling though, there are no stopping them from selling and it couldn't break the $3700 and before ti could even move up to #6650 people are already selling their coins before it could drop once again. Bulls are not yet around. Its going to be a waste if you are not going to sell too, so do what everyone is still doing because holding ain't going to be a great strategy when bears are around.
384  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-02-14] Bitcoin (BTC) Remains Reluctant Despite Recent Bullish Move on: February 15, 2019, 06:48:56 PM
Glad to see that ETF hype has died already, it looks they were hitting big with that hype  people come in for their hopes but were losing money instead.

It was an unusual spike last time that came out of the blue. It could happen again which would end any speculation about which direction bitcoin is heading. My guess is north

It will only happen again if they see a lot of people come into to invest to pour more money.  If its unusual, it means is unusually luring more money to comein.
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please give some light on XRP on: February 13, 2019, 05:50:38 PM
I am holding XRP since 1 year or more i think. It has fallen since then as we all know. It is now around 0.30$ per xrp.

I have seen people saying over here that it is kind of ponzi scheme. But i have seen in India as well, they have gone under contract with Axis bank. Even they are hiring many well known leaders. It has office as well here in India. Some say it can replace SWIFT technology.

Still can anyone here shed more light on it. Shall i hold my coins? Is the company legitimate enough to hold money there? I dont mind hold it for years long.

Continue to keep, falling due to a complete market correction, this is not an indicator. A ripple over time will get more and more partners in the face of banks, so it will grow further and not be afraid.

Haven't they partnered all the banks already?
They keep announcing all those bullshit for quite awhile if those banks believe on what they are saying, those banks would have bought everything in circulation but its the opposite that is happening. More dumps in the coming days, you have been robbed. There are more to invest, look around.
386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jack Only Have Bitcoin on: February 13, 2019, 05:44:54 PM
So? What importance does this news have?
Jack is the CEO of Twitter and has 4 million followers, many of whom probably don't know a lot about bitcoin. Consider it good publicity

Regardless who Jack is, if people got excited and market pump just because news like this (without any real adoption)
He's also the CEO of Square (which owns The Cash App) and has investments in companies that develop crypto protocols, so it's actually pretty cool that we get to know that he's a firm supporter of btc (whatever his motives may be)

Ohhhhhhh the name jack doesn't really mean something to me when I first read the thread but now I know. I don't really care what he is holding but to those who believe the guy, it should be a big thing as its like endorsing the coin. Did this news come as a storm like being published on forbes magazine?
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vitalik 'Blockchains claiming millions of TPS are pile of trash'. What you say? on: February 12, 2019, 05:25:05 PM

Lots of projects claimed they can send more than 10K transaction per second this includes his fellow Russian Sasha of WAVES. But then he also have point in emphasizing security over fast and tons of transactions per second.  If a network can perform millions of transactions per second, can it guarantee adoption?

Can anyone give me the link about this, maybe the youtube video?
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is stratis still a good investment? on: February 12, 2019, 05:00:38 PM
I'm not very intact with Stratis but every time I search for altcoins that gives passive income, it's always included to the suggestions.

I'm not really into Stratis but I saw the price of this token exceeds what waves token got during the last bullrun. But what  do you mean passive income, does it distribute dividends?

As I understood this project, its one of the platform for the businesses that we can compare to like Lisk. I do have some funds to invest but would rather put my trust to cheaper projects like BAT.
389  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think the size of the FOMO going to be when it starts? on: February 12, 2019, 04:47:40 PM

The slow growth of the price I think is the path to go for crypto. Its much healthy than the sharp spikes. The slow growth though may take us years and year before we can get our to exceed that last ATH, I think this is going to shake up all those who bought at that price. They'd better just learn trading now than just holding,.
390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FUTUREPIA - Blockchain Mainnet With 300,000 TPS (EOS Killer) on: February 11, 2019, 09:29:22 AM

It didn't make a noise even for it being an EOS killer lol so much for the advertising, I wonder if they get the funds since november. Why do you have to kill EOS?
If its due to the bear market that this project didn't make much noise then it deserves a second chance but perhaps when they list the token. Its team members looks legit.

391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which is better to burn tokens every year or dividends every year? on: February 09, 2019, 06:18:49 AM

Hi all ...
which do you think is better for long-term projects, burn tokens or dividends every year?
both of these choices have their own advantages. which one is more reliable to increase prices and keep the ecosystem of tokens on the market?

I want to hear your opinion about these two things.

I think burn tokens will be better than dividends every year and it can make the price more and more raise after that

Certainly we got different views on this because to me dividends are much convenient than trying to lessen the circulating supply. It doesn't help when manipulators come it and its inevitable. Look what happen to ICN where they tend to burn tokens, thins never change whereas for distributing dividends, the team has something to lose so they'd have to make the project impressive for investors.
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: how to promote the cryptocurrency. on: February 09, 2019, 05:43:24 AM

Before you start promoting a cryptocurrency you might just check whether its a legit project. I must admit I have tried promoting a scam ICO in the past, non ever expect them to be until their ICO ended. This is why I'm very careful joining a campaign.

Promoting a project has to be planned like doing a signature campaign in this forum. This will work since most of the investors are also in this forum. Also make some article promotion which shall be boosted thru the ads on linkedin and facebook.
393  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if the bull run refuses to come again? on: February 09, 2019, 03:44:41 AM
Bulls had refuses to come months ago, you can't feel their presence the only that is present the whole time are the whales trying to collect all the valuable tokens we dump in fear. What's the best thing to do for now is just keep your presence somewhere else too, like concentrating on your day job. Look away.
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Gaming and It's Future on: February 07, 2019, 06:28:41 PM

When gaming is on blockchain, first thing that crosses my mind is gambling. Of course its all where it started, there were no games like the ones we  play on playstation but now you can see there are Augmented games such as RealityClash.

If you have visited the BlockchainGamer.biz, there are bunch more.
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why are most bounties managed by New accounts? on: February 07, 2019, 06:16:00 PM

The team decides who to hire and since they are hiring people as part of their team, they let those hired ones to create account here and do manage ANN and bounty threads for them. They don't want to send funds to escrow too which is why for them its a win-win situation to just do it their way.
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🎀 Donate me to DONATE you ❤️ DONATE is ETH token on: February 07, 2019, 05:17:32 PM

No purpose of the token but to ask donations from you and so don't expect anything in return. If you donate for this donateme token, you get nothing out of it. ITs good as lost forever but this DonateMe_Donate will act like you own something for he gave you DonateMe token. There is nothing to this project.
397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John Mcafee on: February 06, 2019, 07:58:02 PM

He shills about ICO to profit as what people see him. I see him promotes a lot but I think the projects he does are actually making it which they do have a unique use case.  And so I end up also trying to chase the coins he does shill. Docademic looks good to invest with. His speculations just sucks though.
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can New Projects compete with the established ones? on: February 06, 2019, 06:57:48 PM
Grin seem to be doing well which means it could compete to the established ones. There are few that are very noticeable in the market like EOS and TRX that were making a big leap in terms of its development, not to its price though but certainly they are newer than ETH and those previous coins too.
399  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-02-02]Amazon Might Have to Issue a Cryptocurrency Soon on: February 06, 2019, 06:22:01 PM

If its binance that is going to help do the ICO for Amazon, this won't end well . BTT is the most recent proof that its going to be another pump and dump. But then again, this is going to be a huge promotion for cryptocurrency. If amazon is going to be really doing it, the best course of action is to find ways to have good amount of funds ready to buy after the price dip.
400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Gambling altcoins - are they fundamentally undervalued? on: February 06, 2019, 03:08:19 PM
I'm not sure that gambling is really that much of a key use case. It's not up there with smart contracts or fast, borderless payments.
Having said that I do think a lot of coins are undervalued right now... but we are all waiting for the recovery to start.

Borderless payments are a huge component of the gambling industry. In grey markets like China where there is a huge demand for gambling products, banks block all gambling transactions. Cryptocurrencies provide a workaround to this.

The question is whether there is value to dedicated altcoins over Bitcoin for this use.

Nope. Of course its Bitcoin that will have more value. Edgeless and Wagger are both great projects but there are tons of changes coming of EOS gambling dapps though. The offer of what TRON and EOS dapps are providing are making Edgeless and the likes are becoming inferior in my view actually.
