I have to say that I'm quite often reading about that issue, also with other coins.
What I mean is that the same passphrase generates a different address (when entering it on different wallets, like web and desktop).
It may be on the users side, but I think devs should look into it. Maybe there's really a bug (with some specific passphrases only etc.)..
Every char you change gives another wallet address even if you add "space" at the beginning it will generate different wallet than one without space. We are using same algorithm across the board for ARK address generating so users should be careful to save whole passphrases and double check them. I'm a little OCD but I tend to log in and out of a new wallet a few times to make sure I can access it before using it. |

What ever.......... life goes on .... but i refuse to cry about it ...and if i have been scammed my loss ..... BTC has/will served me well and i will hold onto my remaining BTC.. will not give it away to ICO's

crypto opportunists buying into highly experimental tech expecting huge returns acting surprised when experiment takes far longer than expected or even fails. whatever happened to don't invest more than you can afford to lose. it's not even real investing, just buying passwords to some accounts, nothing more. just panic dump and let those with patience participate.
They are butthurt. The same people want freedom and join decentralized tech projects, but when butthurt for not turning a profit in the first 12 months run to highly centralized organizations bitching and moaning for regulations. Morons. Like I said before, they're just hurting crypto. |

2. What you are attempting to do is actually illegal. Libel is considered very serious and I've seen people get in big trouble over this sort of behavior. Why put yourself in jeopardy over something silly?
3. You think what you are doing is good? You're actually hurting crypto. I have tried to get friends and family to invest in crypto but because of this sort of negative behavior it just prevents them from wanting to be a part of it.

First of all. This guys obtained the money legally to execute a new crypto plan.They are liable for the misconduct they showed in spending the funds and managed the funds on purpose in their advantage. Almost a year passed buy and the only plan is to clone a github repository. No it's not illegal to warn investors form this fraudsters. So no I am not impressed by your threat. Warning others for actions these fraudsters have done (money laundering, dumping rise the day it hit the exchanges) in fact is a very Good reason to submit such a press release  It's no surprise you are an ALT of one of those scamsters or indirectly benefiting from this. Because no investor here is profiting and thus this actions and frustrations are 100% justified, let alone legal. Are you really that stupid? That we don't see what is happening here? You and all the others that benefit from the RISE expenses report will defend it till the end of time. But we, the investors are in more numbers and even more resources. And yes if you and your crypto friends are in this kind of shady business, it's better to stay out. Helping scammers is not what Crypto needs. Not today, not ever. You've already stated 2 things that are false. 1. They still hold all the coins so they did not dump and 2. there is more to the plan than simply cloning Lisk. They have acquired notes from Don't Panic Consultant and passed them to the new developers. They are going to get delegates forging first which is what they should have done a long time ago. 2.0 wasn't even part of the plan during the ICO. I am just trying to save you from yourself. I went and checked out that website. I'd seriously take it down. It's easy to get a judge to determine ownership of a domain. This is like 4 counts of libel. But it's your call dude. I've just seen this sort of thing before. |

There are people in this world who are angry and tear things down, and then there are those who unite and build things up.
Some of the most successful people I know in my life are those who build on things and lift up others naturally. It's like in their blood. In their DNA. I'm sure some people know what I'm talking about. I strive to be like those people and build others up and not tear them down.
In business, things happen. You repair and build up. I support Rise and what they are doing and I am going to stand behind them. You can build websites and stuff and mock them but these guys put their names and faces out there from day one. If people are going to run a scam they aren't going to do that. When I read some of these previous posts it's obvious they have no idea what's going on, they just want to tear people down. I go read their latest posts and it's all anger and hatred. I've never understood that. Why people are so angry all the time. I guess it's just in their DNA.

Money laundering is taking money from illegal sources such as drug money and trying to make it look legit. This is not what this is. The btc was obtained legally by all of us through donations on a website. Everybody knows this since ICOs hit the scene.
The funds were liquitaded before the pump. Probably should have held on but imagine if bitcoin dropped. People would then complain they should have liquidated. lol Hindsight is 20/20.
Anyway, the project is still ongoing minus DPC. It was explained in slack. In fact, I'm glad they are gone. People need to relax and help the new developers. That's my 2 cents.

It's not a rumor. The Rise dev fund is currently in a Bittrex account and being moved to a permanent Rise wallet address for everyone to monitor. Rise address will be published here. McVenture see you in court! You will pay for your crimes! as if there is something an individual can do. the information about them is all there is, you can search the rest of their info on the internet. thier lawyer will just give you the mumbo jumbo and whatever else they can say which the bottom line is just you handed your money to them. and thats just it. nothing else you can do except listening to them saying "let them do their job." good luck suing them. Bitcoin is not even considered a currency in the U.S. It's a commodity. These ICOs are equivalent to placing a donation button on their website. Once they have the funds they can do whatever they want with it. Let's see if they get LSK cloned and us forging. That's what they were going to do originally. Rise as a Lisk clone with DAPPS for more than one language. |

It's peer to peer fundraising via donations. Similar to gofundme etc. There is no legal case. Never has been. Nobody ran off with money. They are still here. Project is ongoing.
In fact I look forward to running a node. And Lokesh is in slack if anyone bothered to even go in there. People need to stop trolling. Sounds like some people should not be in crypto either. You ALWAYS choose carefully when joining ICOs. I've lost several times in my day and I don't always agree with decisions made by the team but I don't think everything is a scam and cry on. It's about being part of something that is new and innovative.

 RISE PROJECT STATUS
This last week has been very eventful for Rise and has left some people uncertain about the project status. This post summarizes the details that were released spread out over a myriad of posts. - Justin (co-founder and lead developer of Rise) is no longer working on the Rise 2.0 platform,
including his employees Nathan and Richard. The Rise team was dissatisfied with the lack of progress
and denied Justin’s demand for more funds to continue developing. - Rise team is working on solidifying a contract to get Rise cloned to the latest LSK code
- Putting Rise forging into the hands of the community as soon as possible is #1 priority
- Rise 2.0 is not off the table, The ICO promise of adding multi-code language support and
easy-to-use tools for buildings dapps will still be pursued. - Rise development funds were temporarily moved to Bittrex. The account was frozen by Bittrex
as this is their standard security mechanism. The account is being verified in the next few days
to be unfrozen and the funds will be moved to a permanent Rise wallet address for everyone to see.
The Rise address will be announced here. - Rise team is working to reward Rise holders through the Chipz Project. Chipz was announced earlier
this week and is in the beginning stages. Rise holders will be the beneficiaries of the Chipz airdrop.
More details will be shared as they become available. - In a few days from now Rise team will launch a competition for loyal Rise supporters
with a total prize pot of 1 Million Rise. Stay tuned.
