Obviously no one is a developer of G.A.P. everyone contributes as he sees fit and is able.
But the spirit of the new thread is not for promotion purposes but to update the "Essentials" into the first page to get someone interested in started to keep things moving with minimal input or investment.
In a perfect world I would want Gmaxwell to "backport" code. We do not need a full time programmer just someone who knows C++ enough to cherry-pick from Litecoin and Bitcoin Core and backport to Bitcoin Core 9.2
Someone could do it in their free time, I would prefer to keep the loose decentralized structure instead of feel "comfort" from a developer ignoring the sense of urgency to contribute their skills in a manner of their choosing with the knowledge that it would be done without much fighting or hijacking, but obviously Bitcoin shows that that is what is likely even with decentralized models for implementing code. And sometimes malicious actors try to get their code in as well.
If we get the new Thread than we can wait around for a New Programmer who will see the price of G.A.P. and invest themselves as a real entrepreneur would do. There is no Fed.Gov pig trough here to feed off it will succeed or fail due to our collective skills or lack thereof.
Furthermore, Maybe Jonn9 will awake from his Coma and return and thus the need for a developer will be negated, but what good is a developer without a proper vision?
The most I would feel comfortable with for a QT wallet would be integrated GPU and CPU mining which is no small feat considering the lack of interest in any vision for such a direction. It would need to be customize to control integrated only GPU mining with proper manipulation and Only CPU mining or full blown GPU/CPU mining which is the end goal using the Solid framework the QT computer code brings to the table.
Cheaply we would be better served to focus on someone who could update Github code base with new SSL cert rather than trying to focus on Windows or Mac niche realms. Unfortunately there are not enough resources to do such things for G.A.P. Someone who is a carbon system will demand too much compensation for such trivial additions to the G.A.P. program. But updating the Github code would benefit the most bang for the buck.
I know if someone came along and tried moving Gapcoin to the newest Bitcoin Code dumping the integrated Miner I would be gone. Probably keep my coins but Daemons is not something that interests me and the work load is not worth the effort.
Daemons and QT are not opposites however they complement each other, I just wish to not adopt the one or the other approach as Bitcoin has, both can grow together and fulfill different needs which makes both stronger.
Gmaxwell could update this in his sleep if he wanted to, but we need a strong QT developer if anything who knows C++ as well.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1895455.msg18850808#msg18850808This should be our #1 goal for new thread, but back-porting to Bitcoin Core 9.2. (Upgrading PrivateKey from 180ripmed to 256-Sha2) #2 back-porting Unlimited Add-Nodes so Large Data Centers can mine behind Tor or VPN's effectively. Maybe we need to Shanghai Gmaxwell over to our team.............. I think Mining with the QT wallet software is better long term incentive to add Free Software miners integrated into the Wallet (Video Graphics Miner/CPU Miner................"eventually"..............."Maybe".....)

I don't know about Video Cards, that depends on how you tweak it, which could take up a bit of time. Network Hashrate is about 10-20 Million Primes Per Second.
Pretty much any hardware can do good mining here. You could mine with Intel Atom chips!
The Network needs a couple full nodes not behind a VPN to support blockchain syning, it might take a while for Peer2Peer sync. BitcoinFX has a blockchain database to download it you look back a bit and check his website.

well I apoligize, Bitcoin does compile and build under Gnu/Debian.
However using a GNU operating system and trying to use the debian repository from Debian does not however build on GNU.
I was successful in using Github to build Bitcoin only using Free Software............I don't have time to examine Debians package
And the SSL Cert builds only up to March 2016 for Gapcoin, but it is still 1 year better than the windows Gapcoin build.
I am not sure why it would not build using the most up to date certificate.

I need a intelligent force to translate this into 9.2 Bitcoin core to be applied to Gapcoin............thank you and 5000 G.A.P. to anyone who can. I tried but there are too many iterations at one time to change for my abilities currently. But I might be the one who does it and keep my G.A.P. nothing like incentivizing myself..... https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/9319

G.A.P. provides the opportunity to hack lots of hardware and G.A.P. is customizable easily for hacking purposes wheras the other prime number engines are not. Primecoin higher rate one makes you pay a fee for a proprietary wallet to mine with.
Riecoin is not customizable but is hoged up so much there is no room to experiment.
Primegaps is much more insteresting than building a prime number blockchain, at least to me.
I disagree that there is "innovation" going on in this space, however there is tons of speculation and money managers moving into it organizing their defences. Which I have also decided to set up shop here, but what if they succeed and take out G.A.P.? Well they might get rid of me, but I will likely just skip a small gap and pop up ahead of them elsewhere.............seems like BitcoinFX is a good old hand to steer the ship as well.
Most of the so called "innovation" revolves around different schemes to launder money more effectively for the Secret Service and DEA to hide any hordes they collect. It's bad business for them when they get caught from Silk Road basically running the joint. They don't want to get caught again, so they dump stores of bitcoins into any ideas that "developers" they can latch onto to make for them. Throw in the "private" investors who also share the same ideals and goals and we arrive to today.
Look forward to the JamesWeb Telescope soon.
AAA-Autonomous Astronauts Association is a possibility to openly declare G.A.P. to assist. But obviously not project wide but for any organized group within G.A.P. to do so. It is basically and open source project system for aspiring Astronauts.

There
is a large contingent that feeds off of new "developers" and holds lots of hardware to mimick growth or reality on shortwave lengths, into what is essentially a hi-jacked project called Bitcoin.
Convincing someone to invest into a computer to specifically task to generate something is asking alot. Most people even though computers are mass produced in China most Americans cannot devote enough power into the "game". Their Cell Phones getting hijacked by cell towers collecting data is the most they are used to using computers. Not that I don't imagine them intelligent, but taxed into submission.
Most outlets available today do not at all provide any benefit to the average person. Now who is to judge which intelligence should dominate culture? I do not wish to be the judge and I do not agree that Capitalists choose to further their version of intelligence over all others. It iis not like the best shall win (they will eventually), when 90% of the rest have a Tax Gun to their heads forcing the flow away from themselves into anothers schemes.
It is completely understandable that the USA and maybe Europe have a digital version of slavery that which goes on in 3rd world countries. No one ever expects anything out of Asia in regards to Freedom. The illusion that the top %1 to %10 percent will lift all the boats beneth the ship of the nation is probably the stupidiest line of reasoning hatched out of some kindergarten crayon economics class. Only on paper does the USA exist as a 1st tier or 1st world nation. In reality on the ground it is not much different than anywhere else, that is run down and Tattooed up. Certain aspects still operate out of necessity, but so do they also in 3rd world countries as well, even Venezuala.
I can clearly see the games played here trying to propritorize and patent certain aspects for new projects to angle a better audience and stash of cash or stash of bitcoins. It is what it is, and probably not much different than anything else going on in the world at the moment. The Secret Service and FBI have hordes of Bitcoins to disrupt any projects and infiltrate to preserve their currency dominance. The uniqueness of Bitcoin was not lost on them, and their hatred is evident if you look close enough.
The other main theme that a core of people tried to hi-jack Satoshi claiming Bitcoin is Anon and start the new crypto-currency version of what Tor has become, due to it being able to connect through Tor early on in Version 0.2.0.
Of which Satoshi correctly wished to have no part of taunting the powers that be with such language. Now it seems every new project attempt has to insert such language of taunts? It seems more like a controlled delivery by the DEA of some hard drugs on this forum everyday? It does not surprise me that the FBI honeypot division would set up their mal-ware shop on Bitcointalk Ann threads..................
Take your time is my point BitcoinFX if you wish to skip all that, AMD Naples new server chips is what I recommend someone to build as a new computer to mine with.
BitcoinFX you are the senior member so it's your show. I am gonna do what I can, hacking the hardware side.

234 Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoind x86 binary for CentOS on: August 03, 2010, 09:05:08 PM Quote from: sgtstein on August 03, 2010, 05:30:37 PM I have successfully built it with 4.8, 4.7 never would but with 4.8 bitcoind locks up whenever it dumps the initial block download to disk. Undecided "I urge you not to use BDB 4.8. The database/log0000* files will be incompatible if anyone uses your build and then goes back to the official build." ~ Satoshi Here is a good example of a small piece of what is going on shaping mental designs. It seems for Debian/Gnu the GPU does not build from Github, I read further back and Jonn9 never released it, only a windows version and a linux.zip. I tried the GPU commands for ./gapminer no luck, I think for it to work I need the execute inside ./gapminer-gpu to fire up my Nano card.
Obviously I have no problem CPU mining this as the reward self-regulates, but if we want to break records we need working GPU mining and "working" GPU instructions. Reading through this thread is pretty harsh, not missing much, starting a new thread couldn't hurt.
I find that most of this "culture" revolves around secret untold ways for people to master as their greed takes hold over them, designed this way by the digital organ harvest masters.

If Jonn9 doesn't show up to do some editing, we should also start a new thread that we/you can control and edit information as it becomes available for the first page.
And use your website as well, as the old one while it still works.
But list as much relevent of the old information as possible.................

For Economy probably the most realistic solutiion would be to start a LLP offshore company in Antigua (just joking) that offers customized sifts and hash rates for N.A.S.A. and or others to break encryptions.
Now you might seem like I am anti-encryption, I am not I am anti weak encryption and if we can break the current system we can force it to move to higher standards than the current extremely weak ones of today.

CUSTOM QT WALLET MINER CONFIGURATION TUTORIAL
It is possible to create our own in-wallet miner customized. We can use the GapMiner as a test bed to try various sifts and shifts before we generate our wallet. We can do this with many different saved profiles of generated wallet QT's. Just by renaming them. And using Terminal Cd Gapcoin1 or Cd Gapcoin2 /src/qt than ./gapcoin-qt to start up whichever wallet Sift we wish to Mine with.
This is by far the simplest solution.
First go to home folder and delete the git Cloned gapcoin folder if you have already built the QT wallet.
freshly git clone of Gapcoin
Find the gapcoin folder once its done click, src click, find open RPCRawTransaction.cpp click,
Change line 299 to
const CScriptID& hash = boost::get<CScriptID>(address);
Click Save and close
in Gapcoin/SRC find and open Miner.cpp
scroll down
to the mining shift and mining sift and sieve information. Input your set paramaters based on your GapMiner trials. Click save and close. (I recommend only changing the shift at this point unless you played with your own settings using GapMiner)
Finish the rest of the Wallet QT generation
cd gapcoin git submodule init git submodule update ./autogen.sh ./configure make
Remember not to touch the .gapcoin hidden folder in Debian/Gnu. DO NOT TOUCH IT. If you have already sync'd the blockchain and your wallet is loaded this will not be touched at all by this operation.
If you want to generate a new custom wallet miner you need to change the git clone gapcoin folder and rename it to gapcoinshift45 or gapcoinshift175 ect....just remember if you want to use one of them you need to use in Terminal
Cd gapcoinshift45/src/qt
./gapcoin-qt
To start your wallet every time, but you will work off the same wallet.dat file and same blockchain ect...........
Also be careful of Berkely Database upgrading automatically from 4.8 which will require a re-install and removal again of the newer Berkely database. This will show up with ./configure part of the operation.

Nice work BitcoinFX, together we can hopefully move this thing along........I am more and more impressed with Jonn9's work though. The windows side is the only one that needs a "developer" otherwise Gapcoin is more advanced compared to other shitcoins.
My Debian/Gnu updated the SSL cert automatically when I built it.
I am looking for the commands to start the GPU, I got the AMD kernal installed........

|

well, I just got GapMiner to build, but I am not sure what exactly I did. Moved a test Miner to shift 75............... Any Idea how to get the GPU part of the Miner working for GapMiner or is there a seperate Miner for GPU? ... GAPMINER DEBIAN/GNU INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS https://github.com/gapcoin/GapMinerOpen Synaptic Search for and install things related to jansson curl and curl ssl pthread The other stuff should already be installed if you successfully built the QT wallet. git clone https://github.com/gapcoin/GapMiner.git cd GapMiner git submodule init git submodule update Jonn9 forgot the last step...................... with the Terminal open to cd GapMiner enter cd src/Evolution and command git submodule init git submodule update This should get you the C-Utils Now go back to the terminal with Cd GapMiner Command: Make all Check the folder in your home folder GapMiner and than bin folder to see if gapminer shows up and that is your execute program. Now follow instructions how to set your config file for Gapcoin-QT and GapMiner For GapMiner https://github.com/gapcoin/GapMinerAnd alternatively cd GapMiner/bin ./gapminer That will drop down a list of other acceptable config terms that gapminer will accept. When your ready to start your Miner Terminal: cd GapMiner/bin ./gapminer (...........................................ADD Your Configuration Terms Here..................) to start
Viz paid Wolf to make an upgraded miner for the green team (since the red team got theirs), but that miner never worked. So it's not a baseless assumption. It's been under the radar because no one talks about it.
Which would be like a surgical strike against ISIS from the government perspective while everyone uses their unsafe government Windows Miners, and and and and because it's the only one that works.......I think Colin just got taken advantage of though people weed themselves in (Embed) while tactically assaulting every aspect of a project. The Silk Road Ross Ulbricht case is a good example although too complicated for most. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5uUV5LkXR8kOh the government has learned real well and the only ones who seem to be able to coordinate their efforts as they control most all of the "Carbon Systems" of the world.

well,
working to see about the GapMiner compilation from Github.....
Running into Src/Evolution errors when trying to make........GapMiner says it has a GPU Miner but I doubt anyone is using it since it can't really be compiled maybe windows works I don't know? But if someone has not migrated away from windows yet it only means they are cattle being fattened up for the slaughter............
At least if you compile under Linux you can update the SSL Certs and parts for Gapcoin automatically, but Windows user have to always use the same package that was released from about 2 years ago. When a Debian/Gnu user builds his Gapcoin QT it compiles with the best available parts from the parts list. Windows is the same old backdoored parts list....that don't age well........
But I do not trust Graphics cards, or much of anything computer related, this is more of an "attempt" to work around and hack through the "fog of war". Fog of war is the conception from the German Military, from once physical contact is made it clouds the judgements from the good, and bad.
I would wait till AMD at the very least develops on open source Kernal for their GPU drivers to allow Debian/Gnu to use it. However open-source is not Libre, it will far outshine anything available today in terms of usability and "trust". The current GPU kernals tend cause many computer instabilities once installed, and often times requireing re-installation all over again.
