I think your best choice is to brute force it  Undecided

(...)if you know part or some of the password

that will be helpful.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Im creating a new cryptocurrency to use in Cuba. Any ideas? on: December 22, 2017, 05:27:09 PM
LMAO yes sorry, check this out, i pm you
23  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Now Bitcoin is for big players only... on: December 22, 2017, 03:18:52 PM
I think what the OP is asking for it is not about 1 BTC fractions but what others coins to focus on, so my recommendation is to take a look at Litecoin (LTC) and Monero (XMR). Besides Bitcoin those are the ones i like.
24  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Noob Seeking wisdom (and answers...) on: December 21, 2017, 08:59:03 PM
Hello and welcome.
Some users have answered your question already, so my contribution here will be, besides saying to you that faucets are sort of a waste of time, to give you the link to the forum's rules, take a look at it to avoid being banned.
25  Other / Meta / Re: Ideas for improving post quality? on: December 21, 2017, 08:39:00 PM
I've read some posts from this thread, i will not summarize or give my opinion about other's opinion though i think that:
  • having a fee to register here in the forum isn't fair
  • having a minimum character per post isn't helpful
  • post quality is a fuzzy thing here
  • being from a third world country doesn't mean you are uneducated or some other things they have been called here

So i will give now my ideas to fight shitposting and spamming here in the forum:
  • Why not taking advantage of Report to moderator? You can run a contest/campaign/-whatever you wanna call it- rewarding the most accurate people reporting spam/shitpost/-non legal- post. Rewards could be in crypto for the top ten. You could show below activity the Reporting points. You could also have the top worst poster that you could punish somehow.
26  Other / Meta / Re: Idea to fight scam icos on: December 21, 2017, 08:03:34 PM
Do you mean everyone who worked in it or everyone who took part in it (like bounty)?

Yes i ment those who are taking part of the bounty campaign and all those who ever posted in the ANN thread. Promoting a post deletion or just edit the posts made to SCAM!!! would it be any helpful?
27  Other / Meta / Re: Number of my posts on: December 20, 2017, 08:23:29 PM
Yes you are right!!! I realized about that when i read your post.
If i have to guess i would tell you because:
You have eight posts, right?
From 1 to 8. But internally (i mean the php code or whatever) it start from 0 to 7.
28  Other / Meta / Idea to fight scam icos on: December 20, 2017, 07:47:23 PM
As everyone knows icos are increasing everyday and it's hard to say when one of them will become a scam. So would it be a good idea or would it be somehow helpful if when you are confident about an ico being a scam to promote a post deletion of every person who was part of that ico?
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid SCAM ICOs? on: December 19, 2017, 05:33:47 PM
Please give some comments on this. Read the first post and the last one made by me.

30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM ICOs? on: December 19, 2017, 02:16:26 AM
(...)I am very choosy now in picking ICO and we have group chats that I followed and best of luck for me we were discussing about campaigns that we are joining... we have legendary members joined and they are bounty managers.. with that I am very sure that they will not scam us Grin. lots of ICO are scam
And I can't lie about that .. also we have tha list of those bullshit campaign manager haha..
enjoy earning Smiley

So, can you share with us what your methods are to pick up an upcoming ICO to get involve with? It would be helpful for those like me, a newbie to ICOs and time lacking most of the time to do the research, to know the basic steps to recognize a scam ICO.

If you can see "C" they don't have an escrow. You must need to avoid this one, and even your post is become quality you only help "C" to scam other. Stop promoting this project.

There is a 99% that Project C become a scam, i know, and i will stop promoting the ICO on Dec 20.

(...) and do you think they can give you a huge amount of bitcoin just to spread their project do you believe on that?

I have my doubts, of course

just avoid the C project it was scam you just promoting a scam project and help them to gain more profit and beware what is the consequence of it

You need to understand the consequences of what you're doing right now.

Can you or someone else comment some opinions 'bout this?

31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM ICOs? on: December 18, 2017, 03:09:31 AM
Now there are a lot of scam-campaigns, and almost all of them have a Russian-speaking team

About this, the only thing I can say is it must be just coincidence.

Most ICOs are scams. 90% are just pump and dumps made with the intention of convincing crypto noobs to invest their money into something that is completel and utterly worthless, but on the outside looks like it could be successful or a great idea to the uninformed. It is sad, but the reality of this Wild Wild West environment in crypto right now.

I agree with you. Disinformation is the fundamental key for those running a scam ICO, but what can we "crypto noobs" do to avoid getting involve on scams like the few ones you have posted in this thread? Because even if

(...) it is always better to first familiarize yourself with the team, read the white paper, study the road map (...)

in cases where you can find that info, it's not enough.

(...)
This is not true, I know a lot of projects that work fine
Yes and those projects belong to the resting 10%.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM ICOs? on: December 17, 2017, 09:19:10 PM
I do not understand why to participate in the ICO, when such strong doubts. You can choose another company to helping you to improve your posts’ quality. Huh  I admit a small chance that it is not a SCAM, but simply poor quality approach to organizations ICO.

So true, and that's what i'm going to do after Dec 20. And even if

There are enough ico's, you're bound to find a good oe amongst the scam projects. Although it's easier to stumble upon a scam.

The same problem still out there, SCAM ICOs, it's hard to really know when you're facing a fake ICO or not, although most of them probably are scam.

So the question still the same: What can we do to decrease SCAM ICOs ?
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM ICOs? on: December 17, 2017, 03:55:03 PM
As cryto-currency popularity increase so will the scam icos, and the truth is that it's kind of hard for an experienced user and for a newbie like me to recognize when an ico will become a scam. There are some hints to start the recognition but still, nobody will know until the end when every participant is scammed.

It could be great if the community join to fight those scam icos.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM ICOs? on: December 17, 2017, 03:30:35 PM
I guess you are participating in the signature campaign of this project, because they pay bitcoins for posts, and not just because of the improvement in the quality of your posts  Cool I think it's a very strange project

Well, post quality is a fuzzy thing to discuss here in the forum you can find some threads discussing that in Meta section. And yes it's kind of a strange project.

Ah, Project C? That unethical project? Just look his untrusted feedback, he is known as scammer from the past. I've just sent him a neg trust, one day after, he and his partner from Litra (JPnotmorgan) sent me a neg trust, too. He allows newbie & red tagged users to enroll in his campaign, what an irony.

As a matter of facts i haven't looked at his Trust yet, i gotta say things are red in there.

Also, he paid more bitcoins than the usual payment to deceiving bitcointalk users.

Yes, it is suspicious, its week payments is way too high to be true.

What a discreet way to promote project C.

Grin It's true that i'm doing it but my future purposes for this thread is to gather some of the SCAM ICOs people has been involved in.

I was following two projects and then the person running it just disappeared. Those are one man show that deceive people with the promise of airdrop, their link still on BCT
infinity pay   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2322857.0;topicseen
drop answer   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2349317.0;topicseen

This is one thing i was looking for, an example of scam icos

So far, i ever join 1 success project but i dont get paid. Most people get paid and some people have same thing like me. They dont get paid too. The project looks great but i dont know why they dont pay me for my effort. The project called "Centra ".
But i dont care since i just join the social media bounty, maybe if they pay me it will not big amount.

Not being paid for our efforts it kinds of sucks even if we don't care and if the payment is low.

35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How to avoid SCAM ICOs? on: December 16, 2017, 01:44:24 PM
This was the original post made by me in this thread you can still share your comments.

What was your favorite project that scamed you  Grin.

Right know I’m being part of a signature campaign called Project C, so far I don’t know –nobody knows for sure - if it will be a scam or not, as a matter of fact I just don’t care, because it is helping me to improve my posts’ quality, besides that I hope it is not a scam. Saying all that what was your favorite scam project you were involved in?

But i would like to know what steps do you follow before joining an ICO ? What makes you decide to join an ICO or not?
36  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which Crypto wallet ? on: December 16, 2017, 01:22:14 PM
Hi OP, I don’t like web-based wallets because as you should know most of them hold your private keys, so nothing will hold them back to steal your coins, besides if the site gets hacked you could lose your coins as well. I haven’t try any multi-coin wallet yet, I just use electrum and electrum-ltc for BTC and litecoin, respectively; and for monero although it’s a web-based wallet mymonero, but in this case you own the wallet’s seed.
37  Other / Meta / Re: New members should not be allowed to post in the marketplace on: December 16, 2017, 12:23:26 AM
I don’t know if it will be a good idea because everyone knows that here in the crypto-world you are in constant risk due to users’ anonymity, etc. You can be scammed by the most trustable person at some given conditions. Limiting newbies account could delay –not stop- people getting scammed but also will delay the spreading of great services here in the forum.
38  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can someone create a coin for your country? on: December 16, 2017, 12:12:51 AM
Some time ago i was thinking a way to create a coin for my own puposes, i mean learning how to work with full nodes, mining, blockexplorers and so, to increase my skills in programming and increase my crypto-knowledge.
I found this site by that time, i didn't take a deep look at it but it maybe useful to you. Hope it helps.
39  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Review: Earning a steady income in bitcoins with faucets - A personal experience on: December 15, 2017, 10:43:32 PM
I guess saying worth it or not depends on the country you live in. If you are from a developed country 200USD in five month it’s almost nothing (just 40 bucks per month) but if you live in a third world country it means something because it’s a bonus income for just some clicks along the whole day, it just takes minutes.
40  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: electrum issue, new to cryptocurrency on: December 13, 2017, 12:58:46 AM
I have never used coinbase, my wallet is Electrum. A transaction id should look like this one
Code:
https://blockchain.info/tx/e93d6827e89027a70ed76184590b6dcde7784883fa9ea622ba67376e11d92e97

the text after the tx, you see. Look at the info of your transaction in coinbase, you should find something similar to e93d6827e89027a70ed76184590b6dcde7784883fa9ea622ba67376e11d92e97.

PS:
The reason why i don't use webwallets is because most of them don't give you the private key of your addresses so they could steal all your money and go away.
