There is no quick way to learn trading, it takes years to master

Again, a grid bot has no strategy. It's exactly that: a grid of buy and sell orders.

I guess you got a point that certain bots could loose their edge if it's overused, but not really relevant in case of trading with a simple Grid.
It just needs liquidity and does not depend on PA.

If anything, more people running a grid just fills up orderbooks and provides liquidity.
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Automated trading with a Grid based bot on: November 27, 2020, 05:05:44 PM
Hi,

A while ago I have started complimenting my Daily trading with running a Grid based bot on various Altcoin pairs.

Most of all I trade KCS this way, because it has the added advantages of also paying additional Dividend, and reducing fees, which makes the high number of trades that the bot executes all the more profitable.

Grid based bots are probably one of the easiest and safest ways of running a Bot.

Among members in the Crypto Knowledge Pool community ( a three year old, free Telegram community) it has quickly become one of the most popular methods of trading.

I have written my conclusions down in two different articles:

https://knepala.medium.com/kcs-and-bitsgap-sbot-a-golden-opportunity-6dad4beb8d06?sk=2c4e2754aebe3b3e7d189a64ccb5426b

Do you have any experience with trading Altcoins using a Grid? What are your thoughts?

Nvidia drivers not installed (properly) it appears.

I dont use the gui automated system for this....i just go to the nvidia web page and dl the driver... then install that (manually not through installer of ubuntu) then nvidia-smi works.  Then the miner will work.

HI,

I have used

apt search nvidia-driver

sudo apt install nvidia-driver-455

And am still getting the same error.

Should this not have worked?

Hi,

I am trying to use Gminer on Ubuntu 20.04 but I simply get the error 'no device detected', and nothing else.

I have the latest Nvidea driver active.

Can't seem to find any info on this.

Any advice?
Hi,

Can you show your command line arguments?
Also can you provide output from nvidia-smi command?

Best Regards
Thank you for getting back to my so quickly.

I have simply filled in the mine_beam.sh file that was already present in the Gminer map with my details:

#!/bin/sh
./miner --algo beamhash --server beam-eu.leafpool.com:3333 --ssl 1 --user [my permanent beam address].pavilion

nividia-smi seems to identify the problem:

knepala@knepala-HP-Pavilion-Gaming-Laptop-15-dk1xxx:~/Crypto/Gminer$ ./mine_beam.sh
No device found
knepala@knepala-HP-Pavilion-Gaming-Laptop-15-dk1xxx:~/Crypto/Gminer$ nvidia-smi
NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn't communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running.

As far as I can tell from settings, I am running the latest Nvidia driver. This is just a two day old laptop.

8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My guide on Leveraged trading on: November 14, 2020, 10:07:39 AM
Thank you for detailed information in the article. Do the exchanges you mentioned allow to open leveraged positions in opposite directions at the same time? What if you add to your previously opened position, does it effect your entry price?

I use Bybit.
If you want to open positions in different directions, you need different accounts.

If you add to a position, it will move the entry accordingly.

That's why I always keep just a fraction of my leveraged trading funds on one account.

I have about six leveraged trading accounts, and still I keep over half the funds I want to keep available for Leveraged trading offline until they are needed in one of the accounts.

..I would love to receive feedback.
...

In your guide, you show examples of trading with X100 leverage. Only for me it remains unclear how exactly you place an order to buy / sell BTC at 1%, that it always turns out profitable for you. After all, it is enough for the price to go against you by only 1% and this will entail the liquidation of your deposit.

Cross Margin. I always use Cross Margin with the method explained.

Thank you for the feedback all!

Thank you for the kind words.

We are also still looking for some team members for the World Series of Trading.
I have added a link to our team page in the article.
17  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / World Series of Trading op Bybit. Nog enkele teamleden gezocht. on: August 05, 2020, 02:13:09 PM
Dag Nederlandstalige community,

https://medium.com/@sambrans/mastering-trading-with-leverage-a-lucid-guide-b918696384f0

Binnen dit artikel is ook de link naar ons team terug te vinden.

feedback over de guide zelf is ook welkom.
