I don't see your name in the Data Spreadsheet, which means you didn't take part in The Movement's founding back in August. I'm sorry you missed it, there were plenty of open spots at the end. As of now there are no other ways to take part in the distribution, but in the future who knows. There might be different ways to obtain TAO tokens.

I don't think there will be a bounty campaign in the sense  of a BTT signature campaign if that's what you're waiting for. There might however and I'm willing to bet there will be certain bounties for contributions like creating art, memes and the like and for tracking down bugs and such. If that's your cup of tea I'm quite certain you'll get your chance to earn tokens at some point even if you are not on the founders list. Just my speculation though

Brace yourselves people! Seems like distribution is coming soon. Make no mistake however. Just because we'll be receiving free tokens doesn't mean that we'll get rich overnight. The TAO tokens we'll receive will be worth about as much as we make them be worth. The true work won't end with the distribution. In fact if you're really interested in the project and in making more than just a quick buck, then the token distribution will likely only mark the beginning of our team effort.

The abbreviation DAO means Decentralized Autonomous Organization. TheDAO had it in their name, but that doesn't mean they own it.

Myetherwallet or any other ethereum wallet works as AE is an ERC 20 token. Holding on exchanges is ill advised as with any crypto assets you have. AE will have their own wallet when they launch the mainnet and convert the ERC AE tokens into AE mainnet tokens in Q1 2018.


What? Aeternity ended their bounty campaigns long time ago as far as I know. Some stuff in the bounty thread were not updated by the guy they hired for bounty manager though. You might have gotten confused by that.

Just a little left till the alpha release and the ICO start I guess. The very fact that they postponed the crowdfunding so they can show a working early version of the product should speak clearly that this is not a scam unlike many other ICOs out there with deadlines set in the distant future that they don't even plan to meet. A scam would just post some flashy pictures and a few highly edited videos, then hold a quick ICO to collect several hundred ETH and disappear without typing a single line of code.

Not to mention everyone on the team is out there with their names and faces and not hiding behind fake linkedin accounts with google search stock photos.

Indeed, but maybe we need some sort of blockchain integration for starters. Would be tough to differentiate between Movement participants and randoms, trying to manipulate the vote if we try something like strawpoll for example

Don't forget that Aethernity is in no way at all obligated to help you with any of this. They do it out of good will. A few months back when ICO365 and the like were selling AE tokens the team said several times that they do not endorse or support this kind of selling of the token and they adviced investors not to buy AE this way. Whatever Aethernity does now to help you resolve the issue between you and ICO365, you should be grateful.

Of course it will be listed on exchanges, but nobody knows what exchanges yet. The Movement TAO is IMO in a stage of development where the actual coding and developing is much more important than listing of the token which is not even distributed yet. Of course any exchange can list the token once it's out. Colaboration with the dev team is not neccessary. Nobody ever stopped an exchange from listing their token, at least publicly.

Wow! Aethernity really colaborated with ICO365 and refunded their Chinese IOU investors! That's a very dignified gesture, that I don't think many crypto businesses would do. That alone should show that AE is on a different level of transparency and honesty with its investors than its competitors are.

Sadly you missed the distribution train, since the tokens will be given away only to the people in the data collection sheet and it was closed on the 31st of August. I doubt there will be a signature bounty campaign either, since there won't be an ICO, this is an airdrop.

However stay tuned since in the future there may be bounties for certain contributions like bug finding or other useful to The Movement activities. You can also get TAO as soon as it hits markets, but I can't tell you when that will be.

Looks like the release of the whitepaper managed to shut the mouths of even the most ridiculous trolls at least for now.

Definitely worth the time the dev team put into it. Next thing we need is a road map and we're golden.

When they launch mainnet in Q1 2018. That's not that far ahead in time. I guess our ERC20 tokens will be transformed into AE blockchain tokens then.

Don't worry! I'm pretty sure the AE team will help you out in some way. Your problems are with ico365, and not with Aethernity as they said multiple times that they are against IOU trading of the token and they don't support it. Still if ico365 really bought the tokens they owe you during the Aethernity ICO I suppose they should somehow send them to you, or find a way to refund you, or maybe even work something out with the AE team so that they can distribute your tokens.

Anyway, my main point was that ico365 should do right by you after taking your money for a service and I hope everything works out fine, cause otherwise basically ico365 holds both your money and your AE tokens, which is kind of like a robbery.

Would be great if coinmarketcap.com starts showing AE's market cap. I think we'll probably get into the top 100 with a little luck.

The dev is not exactly inactive. He's working behind the scenes as can be seen for example by the regularly updated spreadsheet. Who knows what else he's doing.

Zack could have signed and got a big paycheck. Instead he got greedy for even more of the ICO funds and decided to quit which leaves him with nothing. He also seems to be pretty butthurt over the fact that AE will now continue from where he left them and develop a working project despite his attempts of twisting their arms. It's actually great that he's no longer a part of the project. Besides with his previous fail at Augur his reputation in the crypto world is now tarnished. I'd be surprised if any big project hires him in the future.
