Hey Everyone, So I've expanded my rig from 5 cards to 6 cards recently and was having some trouble stabilizing 6 cards. I was able to stabilize them after updating bios to Gen2, increasing virtual memory and updating cards to latest drivers. I have a question about virtual memory. After some research I decided to dedicate a partition on my hard drive to 72GB [(8 cards x 8gb) + 8gb ram] for virtual memory only. After just one day of mining, i received a warning that my dedicated partition is running low on memory. Is this ok? I adjusted the system setting to clear page filing at shutdown, but when i reboot it still shows this partition pretty close to full. Does virtual memory overwrite itself without impacting mining? Even with this warning, it's been steady. Any advice or input? _______________________________________________________________________________ __________ Or did I allocate the virtual memory partition just right where it's always going to be close to fully used up? Thank you No need to worry about Low space warning. since its a different partition, it wont effect OS or mining. If you want that warning to go off, just reduce virtual memory to 70GB and leave 2GB free space in that partition.

Hello guys,
I was checking the blocks that rewarded more than 4 ETC for the block mined.
Unusual Block rewards that emitted are:
109, 214, 319, 424, 529, 634, 739, 844 ...
by checking these numbers i found a pattern.
they are multiples of 105.
If the block reward is 109 == 1x105 + 4 (here 4 is normal block reward ie 4 ETC. ) 214 == 2x105 + 4 319 == 3x105 + 4 424 == 4x105 + 4 529 == 5x105 + 4 and so on...
will give some blocks to verify
block 7294464 , Block reward 109 etc block 7294466 , Block reward 214 etc block 7294501 , Block reward 319 etc block 7294503 , Block reward 424 etc block 7294536 , Block reward 529 etc block 7294628 , Block reward 634 etc block (no block found on this) , Block reward 739 etc block 7294513 ,7294593 ,7294631 , Block reward 844 etc block 7294747 Block reward 1894 etc
block 7294687 , Block reward 758.49 etc. This one mismatched the above sequence.
Block 7294779 is the last block with 109 ETC reward that has abnormal block reward. After this i didn't found any.
If you trace backwards from 7294779 block you can see the above patterns randomly.
One more Interesting thing i found is a common wallet address txns in abnormal block reward blocks.
ETC wallet address: 0xb71EE6225Ac2904B61941797781ad5Cb9182371d
if a block have transaction from above address there is a abnormal block reward.
if a block have 1 trxn from above address , block reward is 109 ie 1 x 105+4 if a block have 2 trxn from above address , block reward is 214 ie 2 x 105+4 and so on until highest block reward... (check for yourself)
After block 7294779 this whole thing stopped.
Today in block 7305515, there are transactions fron above etc address. but there is no abnormal block reward.
Is this a hack or something else i don't know. Experts have to analyse and answer.
Looking forward to get some clarity on the issue.
Thanks

best way to troubleshoot You try it with 1 gpu and then add the next one and then next and so on.
you have 10GPUs installed, possibilities on mem shortage for 4GB RAM, by doing the suggested above, you can prove this Look at the image 1 he posted guys.. he set the GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT value to 1% thats the actual problem.. If not pls correct me..

|
|
Hi,
Edit your miner starting batch file ( eg. start.bat) and edit the line..
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT
it should be 100 .. not 1 ..
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
good luck.

Hello Everybody, Today when i'm checking my email, i noticed a mail subject EOS Airdrop DAWN 3.0. When i opened the link it took me to a fake EOS website and in that i followed the link Join Airdrop it took me to a fake myetherwallet website. So Be alert guys with these scam sites. I will try to post pictures here if allowed Screenshot for fake EOS site https://ibb.co/mfpHPnScreenshot for fake Myetherwall site https://ibb.co/cdnbH7Observe site address in address bar. this is alarming hmm but can you share exact link so i can check also , here is the link: https://xn--eo-e9a.com/dawn/

Nice web interface. Good work. Does it support AMD RX series GPUs undervolting.

Its is due to improper contact between molex pins and wire.

Hi, Tried with Gigabyte RX 570 4GB 13 cards rig. Undervolting seems not working (used 900mv). Power consumption is fluctuating between 1200w and 1900w continuously. Hashrate is also fluctuating between 200 Mhs and 366Mhs. GPU 0 is always staying at 17 Mhs, Others getting at upto 29.10 Mhs. Same results without Undervolting as well.
X server is not starting. Better to Disable this service by default because its taking lot of time to get the system fully started.
I have a lot of confirms now that it's working. Did you set DPM state or only 900mv? If you have power fluctations i would search for other reasons. X server is starting just in 5 seconds, you should connect display to external GPU in 16x slot, not to internal GPU. X server is really required for Nvidia cards so it will not be disabled. I have set DPM state 5 and 900mv. May be i should try again on hive os. will try and get back with results. Thank you.

Hello community. I want to UV RX 580 with blockchain drivers or new 17.10.2@up ( I didn't tested them). Ofc I have mod the bios- but I can't get below ~0.93V
What is working for me is Sapphire Trixx - but I have to set each reboot all the cards. It's really lagggggy.
Is there any working alternative? I tried afterburner beta 20, claymore 10.1 - nothing worked out.
Use under volting from claymore. eg. -cvddc 850 -mvddc 850. try in steps of 6mv up or down to get best output for your card.

Long time lurker, first time posting... Wealth of knowledge, THANK YOU to everybody here I'm curious if anybody has had any success running: Windows 10 (v1703) More than 8 AMD Vegas I have 3 rigs of 8 Vegas running on the Aug23 Blockchains no problem, rock solid on ETH-only (~44Mh/s), ETH-dual (depends on secondary) and XMR (1960 Mh/s) to the maximum extent. With all units running below 160W for all 3 ops. Until recently I was limited by my PSU to only 8 Vegas. Now looking to add a couple more GPUs to each rig now that the "masochism" is over. So, my woe's: a. With Aug23 Blockchain drivers installed, simply tried adding the 9th GPU. Upon restart, immediately ran into issues. Full DDU. Computer saw all 9 GPUs as generic (minor success!). Cleared out AMD folder, full reinstall of Aug23 Blockchain drivers. No dice. Same issues on restart. b. Then tried the latest 17.11.2 drivers (with all 9 GPUs hooked up). Full DDU, install 17.11.2. Failed installation 2-3 times, no relevant error messages. Gave up on this round c. Then tried 17.11.1 drivers (with all 9 GPUs hooked up). Full DDU, install 17.11.1, installation success but on multiple restarts, AMD Settings crashes immediately. Thought, that's fine, all I do in AMD Settings would be to change the driver to "Compute" anyhow. I can make a Regedit hack for that. So.. Thus I had 17.11.1 installed on Windows 10 v 1703, with all 9 GPUs recognized as Vega correctly --->> drivers successfully installed (but as described, I couldn't get AMD Settings to launch). So then I went to install the PowerPlayTable mod, and immediately upon restart, all the GPUs were no longer recognized (more accurately described: Driver Error). Anybody finding success running 9+ GPUs on Windows10 (either 1703 or 1709)? If so, what drivers are you running and any special considerations? Thanks guys, looking forward to being a contributing member here Try Windows 10 1709 + amd 17.11.2(compute) + No afterburner + fan, core and mem settings in claymore config.
