141  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: LIGHTNINGASIC LA75M,75MHS SCRYPT Miner, USD8800; LA1THS, USD2350.shipped out!!! on: May 19, 2014, 09:11:59 PM
Just received my LA90M.  Fired up immediately and started hashing a few minutes ago.  Hitting 87.82 Mh/s on the stats page, 80 Mh/s poolside (using wemineall multipool for now).  Very easy to setup up.  As with LA1THs, configuration options are very limited.  Only the IP address, gateway, DNS (static only); and pool settings can be configured.

Shipping was via fed ex and arrived a couple of days after Jack sent it.

Will post more as I spend more time, but another successful buy from LA.

EDIT: For those folks who have attempted to malign Jack/LA, I am adding this: LA could easily have ripped me off.  I gave Jack around $11,000 via Skype'd BTC in April for the originally planned LA15M... When LA cancelled that, LA offered me a refund (since at that time the LA60M was planned for $15,000 and I did not want to invest more ...) but instead Jack kept my pre-order in place to see if prices would drop.  Prices dropped to $9,999 for the LA75M and Jack sent me an LA1THS in lieu of a partial refund ... then the LA90M came out and Jack sent that instead.  So in one month I went from $13K for an LA15M, to $13K for the LA90M + LA1THS.  Jack could have ripped me off in 10 different ways along this path ... but he didn't.  He kept his word both on price protection and making good on the pre-order time (which he had promised for the LA15M before the end of May lol).  I can't speak about the scammers who might be pretending to be LA/Jack but if you make sure you order from the web site I can tell you from my experience at least that Jack is honorable and trustworthy.

nice, and customs declaration was what you asked for also?
142  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Sellin 1Ths Dragon Miner for 1.25 lcs on: May 19, 2014, 06:46:48 PM
The Price is INR 125000
USD 2080

$2,080

I can build a bitfury setup in 6 hours for about $1,200 that mines at 1 Ths

not a good deal.

are you really can build 1Th/s miner with cost $1,200 USD ??

Didnt he just tell you can buy bit fury boards for $40 and each one about 40ghs. Plus other small stuff.

from where?

144  Economy / Services / Re: [Lee group]6779$ for 90M scrypt miner and 1800$ for dragon 1T bitcoin miner on: May 18, 2014, 11:49:37 AM
true, very smart calculations required, machine price delivery time, customs , electricity cost, maintenance and also current btc price, which is making it hard at the moment eith mining. and the machines which you have to buy large  quantity of miners to get a machines with  good price to achieve a 30 t0 70 % margin. or make your own.
145  Economy / Services / Re: [Lee group]6779$ for 90M scrypt miner and 1800$ for dragon 1T bitcoin miner on: May 18, 2014, 11:13:49 AM
What is 90m really making in BTC if mining LTC a day?

Is that really hard to count? If you connect 90MH/s today to Litecoin network, you will mine 11.7 LTC a day, which is about 119.9 USD a day or 0.27261 BTC. If network diff and LTC ratio will stay as it is, you will see your ROI (from investment 11299$ in 90M miner) after shy of... 3 months. And we know that network diff will don't stop and ROI may take 6 or 10 months or it may never ROI. It's a way better just to buy some Bitcoins or Litecoins and just hold.

Keep in mind the costs associated with running it as well. And the fact that Bitcoin can drop in value at any time.

keep in mind once you by coins, you moneys locked up to hold on to them and you may not have cash for a while. once the machines ROI(which is the difficult bit) it gets you coins for the price of electric+costs only and then, hopefully , still sell the machines at a profit.
ideal scenario.  i have done it that.

whats the custom declaration?
147  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Group Buy Antminer S2 $1650.- May 25th - Official Distributor on: May 14, 2014, 06:00:27 PM
Its good if they declare a lower custom value otherwise itt goes backto the precoupon price whatever that is .I email bitmain they said we have to declare full value so its a bummer, for us in eu anyway. The s1 was good they would declare a very low value making it profitable. It's always the same we end up licking up the crumbs after the people making and large quantity buy er rs have finished with the gear. Sad

But trust me, better go for larger machines in smaller quantities...  Wink

The long solid shelf you use make for a nice wind tunnel effect along with side by side for 10 or 12 miners.   those look like mdf so they won't allow heat to rise much

that setup could be improved using simple 20 inch box fans on the pull side venting much of the heat out of the building.

obviously I am trying to get the op to avoid/lower ac cost as much as possible.

you have close to 40 in that setup the op would need 5 to 7  racks like that.  his biggest problem with your setup is access to the gear. but with 200 plus s-'1 anything other then a line of lunch tables makes the same problem.

btw  if he gets some 1th machines it is less work.

I have an 22000 air m3/h industrial fan in the wall at the back of the shelf to suck out the warm air. Smiley

I've made the height of the shelf small because I didn't had more space. The new shelf is higher, have more space at the top of the miners, but no space between them because the cooling is better this way.

I have an other shelf but it's not shown at the picture.

I'll try to make a paint but don't laugh hard.  Grin

Had had to do this way because of the spec of the room.

If I'll able to make a new room, and If i were op i'd do this. (I'll sure do it when I arrive that point to make a new room.)

You still have enough room to check the miners.

But I'll definitely go for 1 th or bigger machines.

Im working on a similar setup up to 30 ants and intending on getting more machines, 1ths or others, but ventilation iis a BIG issue!
so what size fan is it that you use to get 22000m3/h? and what do you have for cold air coming in and how cool does it stay.

in the second what is the tube section supposed to be?

thanks

152  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy #5] ASIC chip design funded for the people to keep BTC decentralized on: May 09, 2014, 11:22:55 PM
A great idea, a similar thought did cross my mind, once before i buried it. but dreams can come true.one should follow them at some point.

i wanted to use someone elses chips and do my own boards at least, still in the pipline.

but im interested for sure, its needed.

Indeed. It seems the only people making money in the mining game are the hardware companies and those with deep pockets to buy a shitload of hardware at discounted prices.

yep thats the realworld
