441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What type of wallet do you use? on: May 29, 2017, 01:37:40 PM
I'm using both hardware wallet and web wallet for pupose. I used hardware wallet for storing my bitcoin. This saving is for long term and I'll just withdraw it if my web wallet get empty. For my web wallet, I'm using it for trading and making transactions. This is the most convinient as I can use it through my computer and smartphone.

I always had this question in mind... I am not familiar with hardware wallet, and wonder the potential percentage risk to see the hardware failing/crashing
Or for exemple if you compare with a USB stick, they are limited with Writting (I don't think reading). Is there something like this ?
Not sure if I am clear enough lol, but I hope you get it
442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: That moment when you buy 1BTC at $2500 on: May 29, 2017, 01:32:42 PM
The recent correction was to be excepted honestly. But if you bought 1 BTC 2500$ then the price fail to 2000$ then buy more Bitcoin.

Let's say you bought the Bitcoin 2500$, Now at 2000$ if you buy 2 Bitcoins. You have 3 Bitcoins that you spend 6500$ (1 at 2500 and 2 at 2000) 6500/3= ~2166$
Average price of 2166$ is better than 2500$

445  Economy / Economics / Re: African country adopts Bitcoin as primary currency on: May 08, 2017, 01:16:41 PM
They are not adopting bitcoin as a currency, but there are lot of small/very small/individual companies that take the advantages of using bitcoin.
Just like any shop add different payment processors to their site
446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Macron supporting bitcoin? what does it mean for us? on: May 08, 2017, 01:11:28 PM
A pure capitalist product is now taking place. too bad. Unemployement rate will grow by 5% and more profits for the multi nationnal firms, less taxs. Don't start to dream this guy will let them use bitcoin as Japan did.

I am sure no Bitcoin holder voted for him  Grin
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you see alts have chances against Bitcoins? on: May 03, 2017, 10:45:53 AM
I see only a very few alts that have a potential chance against bitcoin, maybe 2 or 3 butnot more. And i think it will entirely depend on the technology used and the promotion done to make it popular
448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: May 02, 2017, 10:04:48 PM
Anyone else find it kind of strange that ETH shot up in price the day LTC got segwit locked in?

It is exactly what I was asking to myself , weird Huh

why Litecoin announcement has got only 170 pages on Bitcointalk and for example Dash over 6.000???
ok Litecoin was "sleeping" for years but the difference is so big...

well, less interest from the bitcointalk members i guess...

452  Economy / Economics / Re: Nowhere to Hide: IMF Advocates a Cashless World on: May 01, 2017, 11:32:22 AM
IMF is debating/planning about cashless society since 2000, you can find it on their own website where they post reports of disscussions they have. The 100k limit is for all europeans and is limited to 1 person and per bank, so if you have 100k in bank A and 100k in bank B, you are covered for for both

455  Economy / Economics / Re: books about economy on: April 24, 2017, 02:33:16 PM
If you like books related to economy, I advice you to read "why nations fail The Origins of Power, Prosperity"

Quote
The book applies insights from institutional economics, development economics and economic history to understand why nations develop differently, with some succeeding in the accumulation of power and prosperity and others failing, via a wide range of historical case studies.

Amazing book Smiley

457  Economy / Economics / Re: The Real Reason to Hold Gold And Bitcoin on: April 24, 2017, 02:23:39 PM
Compare with yearsback... Nobody doubted that the Internet becomes a reality one day or another. But, investors following the crisis of 2000 committed more because they had too much bet on companies like Pets.com or iWon.com. They doubted even the survival of the net. And yet today we are all connected to the Internet.
Give time to Bitcoin, as the adage says Rome has not been build in 1 day Smiley
458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does any bank accept Bitcoin? on: April 24, 2017, 02:19:43 PM
There are some neo banks that are accepting bitcoin, at least there two that i know about. One is located in Lithiana and the other in another country from East. The thing is when you check carefully about them you find there are a sub division from traditionnal banks
459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: April 24, 2017, 02:16:44 PM
The bitcoin obituary was written more than 89 times. It has been compared to a Ponzi scheme and concluded to a bad experience. Journalists told to forget us and pushed the programmers to look at other technologies. But beyond the rhetoric, it is not difficult to compare the development of bitcoin with another technology... As for the Internet, the early days were filled with passion, enthusiasm overkill with typical speculative bubbles of a sector in a frenzy
460  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How can I create Own Bitcoin Casino? on: April 16, 2017, 12:37:04 PM
If you don't have a decent budget then you are going to waste your time and money too. There are many people thinking they can open a website with low funds like $100 but they quickly realize all the ressources, time, money, ect that in fact is needed to realize their project. At the end they just start to lose their motivation and then abandon their project. So my advice is, no matter if you have enough funds, make a serious strategy to follow, don't just jump on an opportunity if you don't have a clear idea of what it involves.
good luck
