Real estate is the safest option. You generally get the money you invest back in 10 years if you rent it out and also protect yourself from inflation in fiat currency. Furthermore, if you change your mind, you can sell your real estate whenever you want and get back around the same amount you invested (depending on housing market price).

Real estate is definitely better than leaving cash in the bank to gain interest in my opinion. If you want to take on more risk and potentially earn more, investing in commodities, bitcoin, and stocks are just a few of many options. Depends on how much risk vs. reward you want.

If you have money to invest, cloud mining might work for you. But similar to trading, your income will depend on the price of the cryptocurrency as well as other factors such as difficulty.

Cloud mining's reputation has been ruined lately and it has been tagged as scam/ponzi... So most people don't trust that too much... You already have the cash, why invest it in an unsure investment if you can use it in trading... That way you are in control of the future of your money... Perfect timing/speculation will be your only problem, but in time your skill in trading can be developed thru experience and research/reading...  Smiley

The user who asked the question wanted a weekly steady income stream which you don't get in trading unless the price rises and you sell some of your position each week. Yes, there were many scam cloud miners but there are reliable ones. However, you do run the risk of ending up with less money than you started the cloud mining contract so, as in trading, research properly. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against trading rickbig41. Smiley

This year, if there is no bad news, I predict Bitcoin has the potential to surpass $1600. However more bad news relating to Chinese exchanges may cause further decreases in price.
