So, (for example) addnode="104.192.169.10:9323"?

I don't think you need the quotes, and because 9323 is the default, you can leave that off too.

addnode=104.192.169.10

I've downloaded the Nexus QT and have received 0 connections from the rest of the network. When I went into the debug menu to try and add more nodes, I saw no prompts to add nodes. I was also unable to find any working nodes on the network right now. If anyone could inform me how to add nodes to a conf file and provide me with some available nodes, I'd highly appreciate it. Thank you.

My wallet is connected to:

        "addr" : "104.192.169.10:9323",
        "addr" : "104.192.170.30:9323",
        "addr" : "34.198.31.191:9323",
        "addr" : "34.249.16.243:9323",
        "addr" : "35.154.123.88:9323",
        "addr" : "35.156.255.86:9323",
        "addr" : "52.14.2.93:9323",
        "addr" : "52.34.127.167:9323",
        "addr" : "52.34.189.250:9323",
        "addr" : "78.46.168.226:9323",
        "addr" : "96.43.131.82:9323",

You can add them with addnode= in the conf file.  But I just ran with the default seed nodes and it worked out of the box.  Are you using the most recent version?  I think most of what I'm connected to is things like:

5 Host: node2.mercuryminer.com
DNS Seed: 52.68.138.229
6 Host: node2.nexusminingpool.com
7 Host: node2.nxs.efficienthash.com

Also, for faster answers, there are a lot of people in the slack channel who can help with questions like this.  The response there is 10x faster than in this thread.

The bitcoin backlog is very bad right now.  Transactions are getting too expensive for small payments, or are taking more than an hour again.

How is Nexus going to address this and be an improvement over what we have now with BTC?

Good newsletter! Clear and precise.

I look forward to the new site, maybe a new logo, and of course signing the contract with vector space.

Good luck to the whole team. Wink

Thanks!  Glad you liked it Smiley

I'm interested in having a mining pool available for the GPU channel, too, to make it easier for people with only one or a few GPUs to participate in the coin.  Is this technically feasible?

If it is, I would contribute towards a bounty for it.

Thanks for the newsletter.  It's good to see the development is active.  Looking forward to the next!

In Wolf software, I need to change "user":"x" and "pass":"x" by my wallet and the password of the wallet? It is in niro.conf

I don't think you need one as long as your host is in the llpallowip section.  Does it not work with the defaults?

(If you got help on slack already, cool.)

I edited the configuration file, but my miner does not work. Can I point out my mistake

You probably need quotes around the host, port, and nxs_address:

"host" : "nexusminingpool.com",
and so on.  Make yours look as much as possible like the example:  https://github.com/Nexusoft/PrimePoolMiner/blob/master/miner.conf.example

Dont mine nxs direct to bittrex account it wont work.

I need to send it to my wallet to bittrex wallet, right?
Quote
Ok, I create a NXS and BTC wallet there, I select autosell for NXS, it will put it on the BTC wallet, and when I have enough I withdraw BTC on my bitcoin account that is outside of bittrex. Does I understand all?

Yes.  If you're pool mining, it needs to go to your wallet first, and then to bittrex.  If you're solo mining, it will be in your wallet automatically, so you can just send them to the exchange from there.

The only thing to know about autosell is that it dumps onto any waiting buy orders.  It's good for speed, but it means you don't necessarily get the best price.  (It's good for those of us trying to acquire more nxs cheaply, of course.  Patience is rewarded, and impatience costs you a little bit. :-).  But from a mining perspective, it's nice because everything becomes fully automated.

Hello all,

I have a question to ask you, how I can change NXS to BTC for example like we can do for others Cryto on changelly website ?

Thanks

for now by use this exchange manually
https://www.bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-NXS
a automated conversion service that include NXS isnt known to me yet
but will be very likely happen in the next months too

I see, thanks for the answer, I will wait automated conversion to mine nxs.

bittrex has an autosell feature.  https://bittrex.com/Lab/AutoSell

It doesn't automatically send you the BTC out of your account, but it does the conversion immediately.

I see, I did not know bittrex, I saw we can use it like a wallet, right?

You could, but most people recommend against storing large amounts of coin at an exchange wallet.  There's no reason to think Bittrex will have problems, but exchanges are often targets for hacking because of the large amounts of money involved.  Small amounts, no problem.

I;ve been trying to solo mine to the 0.2.2.2 wallet.

pointing miner at 1278.0.0.1  (or the local i.ip of the machine my wallet is on using port 9325

I keep getting "failed to connect to mining LLP server".       Any iea/s what I've been doing wrong?

Make sure you actually typed 127.0.0.1 and not 1278.0.0.1.  Was that a typo here, or when you ran your miner?

Do you have

mining=1
llallowip=127.0.0.1

 in your .Nexus/nexus.conf file?

you guys use keccak??
why..? what's the benefit?

One of the major reasons NIST selected Keccak to be an alternative SHA standard is because it's a very different kind of hash function than SHA-2.

What this means for Nexus is that it will have different weaknesses than Bitcoin does.  A successful attack against SHA-2 will be very, very bad for Bitcoin, but won't break Nexus.  A successful attack against SHA-3 will be bad for Nexus, but probably not for Bitcoin.  It's good to have currencies that don't depend critically on the same cryptography.
