1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: December 20, 2019, 04:29:32 AM
What else could possibly turn unexpected?

Leipzig to win UCL? Why not?
This is the underdogs year!
I support you, for the first time in the history of UCL, Leipzig made it into the round of 16.  in the last match against Benfica, I did not think Leipzig to be able to make the score draw in the final minutes, they were really unexpected.
Let us be realistic about this,  Leipzig cannot win Ucl with their current squad,  this ain't Bundesliga, this is champions league,  that is why it's not that easy for underdogs to win champions league. Leicester won Epl and went to the champions league without reaching Semi finals

Well said man. I mean, upsets do happen but lightning won't strike twice. Very small chance for Leipzig to win this UCL. Leipzig will struggle here and they are already lucky if they can proceed to the next stage.

I am more into adding bitcoins rather than altcoins. I don't have many altcoins right now but I need to hold some of them because I am hopeful to them. But there is only a clear favorite next year to perform, and that is bitcoin. I think bitcoin is an easy 200% basing on its present price.

I wonder are there any odds for final winner of Champions League?
Maybe I consider some small bet on one surprise winner team

Borussia Dortmund   51.00
Napoli   51.00
Rb Leipzig   51.00
Atalanta   101.00
Valencia   101.00
Olympique Lyon   151.00

these are the surprising ones, best odds are for City 4.00 and Liverpool 5.00

for me Bayern with 9.00 and Real Madrid with 17.00 are good choices, keeping in mind the quote

Champions League betting is really tough. Only Real have won consecutive titles in recent history, for that reason it’s so hard to bet on it. There are so many good teams. It might be good value to bet on an outsider (each way). That means you still win money even if they lose in the final. Maybe a team like Dortmund are good value for that.

Them odds! But as said, it is very hard to predict a winner on this competition. Always very interesting match ups. I haven't won a EUFA outright so far. My best win in a soccer outright was a bet on Germany during the 2014 FIFA. Anyway, I will be betting on FC Barcelona and Liverpool. Can't wait on these games.

Hi. About the the American Streak Hero. What if I made 8 win streak but lost my streak on the last day of the week? Should my 8 win streak be counted in the ranks or I am out of the possible winners of the week?

If made 3 win streak using eth and the same day I also made another 3 winning streak using ltc. All 6 bets were different matches. Would it make my win streak to 6?

Thanks in advance.
6  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC.com - The most advanced cryptocurrency exchange on: November 11, 2019, 03:04:19 PM
One of the shittiest exchange in crypto but I wonder why they also remained high in volume. I am stunned that they still have a person in charge in btalk. But I can find problems in this thread and in other created threads that were not resolved until now.

NEM Community out there! The Catapult migration committee is looking to hear your thoughts on branding for Catapult. There is a survey going on right now to gauge your opinions about it. If you sincerely care about NEM, kindly answer it out. Here is the link for the survey form.

"NEM brand was damaged by negative press after the Coincheck hack in 2018"

Was that really so?    ... NEM's brand was damaged?  though the hack's reason was not in NEM system (if I remember it correctly).

Edit:

what will be the brand of a new system, whose name has meant a weapon during thousands of years?
How such will be branded to crypto future?

Why wouldn't Catapult be just the project name, but the crypto / system would have another name?
If NEM's name really is damaged, then a new name should be created.

I thought a brand new name doesn't change the fact on that hacking. But looking at the NEM team, it is changed as well. So maybe it is time for NEM to rebrand as well as well.

This is a unique game. I was also into trading before but not leveraging. I don't know how much fees on leverage because normal exchanges like Bittrex and Poloniex in crypto currencies only have 0.5% or below. This game has a 5% fees on winnings.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People are to be blame for what happened to them on the internet on: October 29, 2019, 12:58:13 PM
When it comes to money people like trying out things the way they see fit, try first learn later is the rules of newbies and thats why they always get scammed easily, HYIP, Pyramid Scheme, as dangerous and alarming these two are people still join them till date, both crypto and internet is not the evil here, people are to be blame for what happened to them
We must not blame the people because they don't know on what are happening inside the internet world. We can blame them if thet have already enough knowledge on what is happening in the internet and they can easily scam by other people, that would make us to blame them but if they don't have enough knowledge then we can't blame them. Crypto is not evil, in fact crypto helps us to earn money and find some way on how we can earn more just for example bounties, trading and investments so I probably say that crypto is not evil.

The scammers are to be blamed but victims are also to be partly blamed. Remember that being ignorant to the law cannot exempt you. People are scammed by HYIP because they are after for the money. Everyone becomes greedy when it comes to money. Pretty sure there were doubts on their minds but greed gobbled them up. If they are not so sure, they could consult educated people or the authorities itself and ask for guidance.
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Cryptocurrency Exchanges on: October 28, 2019, 05:49:37 PM
the best cryptocurrency exchange place in my opinion is a binance exchange place, there are already many who say this exchange place is very good and has guaranteed security and indeed this is the advantage of a binance exchange place that can be a favorite of many traders.

Currently Binance is not the number one exchange in terms of volume. But Binance is number one here in bitcointalk based on comments here. Majority of my friends too use Binance. The same reasons, security and reliability compared to the newer ones. BNB is also the most valuable of all exchange tokens.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 24, 2019, 04:00:42 PM
That 50 point from Kyrie the highest ever for a debutant in NBA history? Earlier, Danny Green was also able to break Abdul-Jabbar's Laker debut dishing in 28 points. All these historic accomplishments were undermined because both lost their respective games.

I think the NBA is more competitive now than the previous years.
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin up to $20,000 before 2020? on: September 21, 2019, 10:13:07 AM
There is a big possibility that bitcoin reaches $20,000 this year. Maybe 40% chance. The Persian Gulf is another issue that could help investors resort into bitcoin where no government controls.
13  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do whales got burnt in the market. on: September 09, 2019, 11:39:05 AM
100%, not all whales are really successful in investing and in trading.
When we say whales, they are those who have big money risk in crypto, and they can sure move the market, however, they don't make a uniform decision, so some whales makes money while some whales also loss money.

People kinda believe that whales are those who are real successful here, but they can't generalize that because they are normal investors also, they have a profitable and a losing journey like us.

Correct. Whales have their own battles too. There are some whales that group themselves in order to move in uniform way but there is still no 100% guarantee of success. In forex big banks are the ones playing the market. There was a case before where the US government imposed heavy penalties on some big international banks for their connivance in playing the market. This is probably the same case with margin trade on crypto currencies.
14  Other / Meta / Re: ANN threads shouldn't be self-moderated on: September 06, 2019, 02:52:33 PM
I agree on this. But if this cannot be changed then my stand remains that ANN moderated threads aren't reliable and truthful enough. People can create separate accusation threads though there is no assurance that ANN participants can see it without doing extra research.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Brave Browser and BAT tokens on: September 05, 2019, 03:25:58 PM
Brave is my main browser on my laptop. Works really really good. I love that shield. No ads at all. People should give it a try. I will be buying some BAT as soon as altcoin market shows some good movement.

Sad. I used to hold all of those coins before. But starting 2018 where there was a long bear period, many of these coins dropped a lot a many people lost interest. These coins will be dead soon if no reliable exchange adds them.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: It is right to come back? on: July 31, 2019, 05:50:40 PM
I was expecting a fast fallout to $8000 level when it touched $9100. I can only guess that market makers rekted a lot of shorts by pumping it up instead. Still high time-frames suggested that Bitcoin is in a bearish move. This won't happen fast as market makers will try to profit by trying to make fake movements in the opposite trend.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mistakes hodlers make on: May 13, 2019, 02:33:13 PM
Hodling is not a mistake. Many investors intend to hold their positions long term. Of course actively trading it is more profitable but it also take a lot of time and effort sometimes stress. Hodling is free from any of these dilemma.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple will be great again on: February 26, 2019, 10:17:06 PM
Ripple is a centralized currency and many crypto investors hate centralized coin because it is simple to be manipulated so I can't believe Ripple will bull again! but it's true that they can use and take advantage of the Ripple network completely. On the other hand, XRP transfer speed is very fast and the transaction fee is also very small.

Maybe many people hate centralized coins but maybe centralized coins are also the future. Governments and big banking companies will love it as they can still manage to control.  Undecided
20  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Gaining quick profits or keep holding? on: February 21, 2019, 02:18:00 PM
The best way is to set aside some for long term while some will be for trades and quick profits. This is common and confusing as sometimes it is regrettable when the prices are going down too deep and when it increases a lot. So why not do both?  Grin
