After some testing, it seems performance is comparable to Claymore, but I think UI has lots to be desired. Although I'm a windows person, I find claymore easier to use, with ability to run as a service been main advantage (or disadvantage, depending what you prefer) of Pro Miner
Thanks for trying it out and posting a review. I think Pro Miner's main advantage is that it just keeps on running with very little effort. Also, it seems some people just prefer a Graphical User Interface and especially the ability to monitor your miner's performance over the past 7 days. Thanks again for giving it a go - much appreciated

Pro Miner version 1.126 released! Get it from our website here: https://www.prominer.websiteBug fixes for devices not being found and log windows not scrolling to the end. Thanks to the miner who helped work through these issues Pro Miner has improved over time, thanks to miners reporting issues. It's become pretty good now - give it a try and help break Claymore's dominance! Music Coin mining should work, as should any other Ethash-based coin, although with no dev fee, as the seeds, and hence the DAG, will not match. As always, feedback and especially bug reports if Pro Miner isn't working for you, are welcomed either here or via the "Help & Support" page on the website. Good luck mining!

Updated into the newest one last night, nice. Will you add other eth "clones" coin to mine? I still have older amd gpu which its not useable anymore to mine eth as its just good for UBQ or Music coin.
Glad you like it! I'll have a look at also supporting Music coin. Are there any other Ethash-based coins you'd like support for? Other thing, is that possible to make the mining log auto update (like the conventional log of mining) ?
I not sure what you mean exactly. There's a small button in the bottom right corner of the log windows. If this is yellow, the logs auto-scroll to the latest entries. Manually scrolling back in time turns this behavior off and the button turns orange. Just click it to turn it back on again. Hope this helps. If you have any other ideas or requests, please let me know.

Pro Miner version 1.116 released - get it from our website: https://www.prominer.website!!! All new CUDA kernel for native NVIDIA mining which should equal or better other miners !!! Small tweaks and improvements for OpenCL AMD mining. There's not much room for improvement here - the Ethereum algorithm was designed to be memory-intensive ( which is why we can still mine it with GPUs! ) I know I have an uphill struggle to convince you guys, but as always, please compare Average hash rates, not Peak ones. Average hash rates are directly proportional to your mining rewards. Peak hash rates ( even when reported accurately ) are largely just bragging rights! Pro Miner is optimized for maximum Average hash rates and so maximum mining rewards. We run exactly the same code in our mining farm. Quite a few people are using Pro Miner now, so it's well tested - why don't you give it a go? If you have any problems, you can contact me using the "Help & Support" page on the website and I'll try to help. If you're using it and like it, please let us know that too! Good luck mining!

I've done some basic tests to explore how "Local Work Size" and "Global Work Size Multiplier" affect hashrates on nVidia cards.
These tests are not nearly as comprehensive (yet) as the experiment I did for AMD cards, but I thought I'd share my preliminary results.
TLDR; a "Local Work Size" of 64 and a "Global Work Size Multiplier" of 16384 seem to yield the best Average Hashrate.
Increasing "Local Work Size" from 64 increases the Peak Hashrate, but decreases the Average Hashrate. Setting it to 32 results in a decrease for both Hashrates.
Increasing "Global Work Size Multiplier" from 16384 also increases the Peak Hashrate and decreases the Average Hashrate.
Decreasing "Global Work Size Multiplier" from 16384 decreases the Peak Hashrate and but has a mixed effect on Average Hashrate, depending on the "Local Work Size", but never matching the optimum settings above.
As with the results for AMD cards, optimizing for Peak Hashrates does not maximize mining returns, which depend on Average Hashrates.
If anyone else has run these tests, please share your results too!

I haven't tried it, but I will say this - keep going! I personally prefer GUI and if you can build on it adding all the functions that us miners are looking for, you'll be successful, because I know I'm not the only one.
Thanks! I mainly wrote this for my miners and it's done very well for me for over a year now. It makes running a farm very easy and I've put a lot of work into making it reliable. It does what I want it to, but are there any features it doesn't have that you can't do without? Or is it just the dual mining?

Pro Miner version 1.104 released.
It includes the latest node releases: Geth 1.6.5, Parity 1.6.7, Geth Classic 3.5.0 and Gexp 1.6.1.
The Control App has an improved configuration User Interface to help prevent frustrating configuration issues.
If you're trying Pro Miner for the first time, I suggest you use the "Pool Mining Configuration Wizard" to set the minimum configuration options to start mining.
As always, if you have any problems, just drop me a note using the "Help & Support" page on the website.
Good luck mining!

Hi Just show your thread and probably I will test the software tomorrow.
Thanks for your post. You can use this thread, or the contact form on the Pro Miner website to email me directly. There's also a You Tube channel with short ( 10 minute ) videos showing how to configure and run Pro Miner. See the first post on this thread for details. What about the supported GPUs and the drivers? Older GPUs?
Pro Miner uses OpenCL and supports both AMD and NVidia GPUs. I run various AMD GPUs, starting from 390s up to 480s, but anything with enough RAM should work. If you have any problems with your specific cards, you can use the contact form on the website and I'll try to help! You'll have to test to find the best drivers, and it will depend on the GPUs you have. Do you suggest any specific Eth pool that works better with the software?
Pro Miner uses Stratum to communicate with pools. I've tested Dwarfpool, EtherMine and Alpereum and there's a Quick Start Wizard you can use to quickly configure Pro Miner for those pools. Other pools should work - again please let me know if you find one that doesn't work. Thank you
You're welcome

Is there an option to use Prominer as a standalone without the service?
For people that use programs like Afterburner to tweak their GPU settings, this would be beneficial if there currently is no way to run it without the service.
Please see my reply to @drrobert above - you can use Afterburner to apply overclocking without logging in ( it's what I do ) To answer your question: ProMiner.exe ( which is the Windows Service executable ) is also a Windows Console App. So, yes, you should be able to run it from the command line, although I haven't tested this for a long time. @Eyedol-X - I just tried running Pro Miner from the command line and, yes, it works fine. You don't need any command line parameters, just configure and monitor it from the Control App as usual. HTH.
