I remember reading of a rumor how Poloniex will most likely not add vDice due to the nature of the ProfitContainer and its accumulating profits  ....haven't heard any further info however

I've stumbled upon a friend's mining rig, which he is having some difficulty putting together.
Is this equipment still a viable option in regards to mining perhaps even some Altcoins or would it be
