21  Economy / Gambling / Re: FAIRLAY - SPORTS BETTING for experts - highest liquidity, provably best odds on: November 06, 2016, 01:52:57 AM
I have 1btc frozen on a deposit with a. Bunch of confirmations.  Same user as my handle.  What's the deal?

In the orange box at the top of the page:
"[2016/11/05 16:32 UTC]: There might be delays in deposits for the next 24h - we apologize for the inconvenience."
22  Economy / Economics / Re: How many Bitcoin do you have saved? on: November 01, 2016, 08:59:48 PM
Just recently got into BTC; I have 2.5 saved up.
Plan on taking 25% of each of my paychecks and accumulating and seeing what will happen in 2017 or later in the year.

Thoughts? Ideas? Speculation? Advice? Tips?

 Huh

I guess this worked for OP. In April, the price of bitcoin was in the $400's and now it has increased to $730.

Personally, I wouldn't take 25% of my paycheck and invest it all into bitcoin. It seems to be a rather large portion of your money and I would rather spread the 25% across various investments involving fiat and bitcoin.
23  Economy / Gambling / Re: SPORTSBET.IO - Place where you can bet with bitcoins on: November 01, 2016, 08:36:00 PM
Hi sportsbet, when will the winnings for the EPL accumulator and parlay competition be paid to users?
24  Other / Archival / Re: Which one is better for bitcoin future? Mass adoption or huge price increase? on: October 31, 2016, 08:09:58 PM
Right now, a lot people think of bitcoin as an investment more than as a way of transacting funds. They care more about the price than the number of people who use it.

But what's the point of having bitcoin when barely anybody uses/accepts it as payment? What's the point when I have to convert to fiat to buy most things? I'd rather mass adoption rather than a price increase.

25  Economy / Gambling / Re: #1 RATINGS of SPORTSBOOKS. Please post any payout delays. Input wanted from all. on: October 30, 2016, 10:36:02 AM
Seems like sportsbet.io has been really slow in the past 24 hours. Sometimes it's so slow that it's unusable. I would recommend keep your bitcoins away from this site until it clears out. And if you have funds on sportsbet, I suggest you withdraw whenever it is possible.
26  Economy / Gambling discussion / Is this an arb? on: October 29, 2016, 09:38:25 AM
I was browsing around on fairlay and then I noticed this craaazy offer for over 0.5 goals @2.42 on the Man Utd.-Burley match.
I decided to post here to get a confirmation because I couldn't believe my eyes or brain.
I'm also doing this because I'm nice and I want to share (this sentence is only valid if it is an arb though).

The links are here:
https://www.fairlay.com/market/manchester-united-vs-burnley-14/ Over 0.5 goals- 2.42
https://www.directbet.eu/Event.cshtml?EventID=27978571 Under 0.5 goals- 16.5

So... is this an arb or should I go to sleep now? I guess the human brain doesn't function well after more than 24 hours of staying up.

28  Economy / Gambling / Re: Donutbit.com - Moneypot Powered Donut Game - NEW on: October 27, 2016, 11:56:48 AM
I think I've discovered a bug on your site. If I click on the settings icon (beside 'start new game'), a green box with text and input boxes appear for entering the bet amount, seed number etc. So far so good. At the bottom, it says "Click anywhere on this green screen to proceed". But when I click on it, the green box along with its content doesn't close.

I had to refresh the page to get rid of it. Please fix this annoying bug as soon as possible.

think you are talking about gift box. when is full you can claim rewards after captcha, after that will show numbers decreasing. when number is 0 think you can claim again

No, I am talking about the box that appears when you click on the settings icon. That's the button next to "Start new game." I understand that the faucet icon is green as well, but I'm talking about the one further down the page.

Hello udet4food. Thanks for playing in Donutbit. What browser are you using?
I would like to know it and fix this bug.

It doesn't work for me on Chrome. But I've tried your site with firefox and it works perfectly.

32  Economy / Economics / Re: How would you double $100,000 safely? on: October 23, 2016, 11:58:02 AM
I have $100,000 to invest but want to safely double it in a year. Any suggestions?

You mean to say you want 100% ROI on your $100k in 365 days and do it safely? Good luck with that as it is close to impossible that it would happen "safely". Asking for a 100% return in a year is already pushing it too far as it is. Also even if you are willing to take a little risk to reach your goal you might end up with less than what you have started with.

I believe that the high interest rates - is high risk. We can not risk so much money. Pick yourself another project with less risk. You can lose everything, if you thoughtlessly risk
The only way you can double your money is when you put it in  bank with an agreement that it will double at a certain period of time, in our country it is called time deposit and the rate is ranging like 10%-12% depending on the amount of money you deposit. However, with the rate that was mentioned, you cannot double it in a short period of time, you need to wait for at least 10 years.

What country do you live in mate? 10% apr sounds a lot compared to 3% here in Australia. Even then, you most likely have to deposit some funds into the account every month or else the interest rate will drop. And you can't withdraw either. :/

Because of the background image, I can't see the text very well, especially the text in grey. Could you change the colour of the text?

Double it in a year? What country has a bank that offers an apr of 100%? Unless you're living in an economy that is rapidly inflating, I assure that there are none. Depositing into a bank is out of the question. The majority of the other ways in which you could double 100k involves a lot of risk. If you don't want any, then you'll have to wait 8 years like cancerbola said.

Heck, even doing an all-in 50/50 roll in a bitcoin dice site wouldn't work. 100k usd is 156 btc, which is way over the normal limit dice sites enforce on their sites.

36  Economy / Gambling / Re: Weclick.io | Something new | Launch giveaway and bonus on: September 21, 2016, 11:11:45 AM
While the concept is very unique, I think that the game lacks enough players. Why? Because there is not much incentive to click unless it's to snatch a lottery number or the digit 7. So people just sit there waiting for someone to click on that odd digit. You should increase the win chance of the 1x payouts to 75% and lower the millions jackpot to 10,000 if you want more customers. You should also reward the player with the most clicks in xx minutes to increase the activity on your site.

Seeing that Man United is underperforming at the moment, what do you guys think of Watford for the win +1 at 1.87?  The match is at Watford's home and Deeney and Ighalo seems to be performing well, making goals where it matters.  Bet it or not?

Damn.  I wish I went with my gut and made a bet on this.  I almost made the bet the other day and all I had to do was to click confirm.  But I flaked out bah...  Next time I'll just go with my read.

I almost go for a draw at half time but I just totally forgot about it because I had to do somethings and left the house without putting my bet. Just coming back home here to see that they are down by 1-0 , glad that I didnt put that bet out or else I would lose something. Not much but still much better than losing it

Manchester United have many shots but not shots on target. I think Man United will make a goal on 2nd half, pick DRAW on this match seems a good pick and the odds is good though.

Aaaand you're correct Smiley Man Utd just scored a goal and so it's 1-1 now. I'm praying to the football gods that man utd scores one more.

Edit: Fuck. Watford scored again.

Just made a yahoo account. The first question: https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20160918015954AAgQ4hn

An easy one: 'How many bitcoins will there eventually be? And when will the last bitcoin be mined?'

Should I make another one? And what kind of question would you prefer me to ask?
40  Economy / Services / Re: Komodo Signature and Avatar Campaign | Member - Legendary on: September 18, 2016, 08:26:08 AM
Rate is too low, 9 weeks for 0.004 btc? I don't know what you guys think about the rate. One alternative plan, posts at least 10 per week, and price is 0.004 btc. So people can earn 0.004*9=0.036 btc in 9 weeks, that's more attractive.

It is 0.004 btc in a week, but they don't pay you weekly, they pay you once after ico, so you post 25 per week for 9 weeks, and get paid: 0.004*9=0.036 btc for 25*9 posts

But I think 25+ posts is too strict rule, a bit spamming, could you make it to 10?

10 posts? In 9 weeks? That's 1 post per week + 1 more post made somewhere in that time. Even 25 is too little, that's 2.78 posts a week. I think at least 50 posts is suitable- that's 5.56 posts a week (most campaigns require at least 10 a week).

Sorry, I am confused by the rules now, we need to post 25 posts during 9 weeks or 1 week?

My understanding is: member rank post 25 per week to get 0.004 btc per week, therefor post:25*9= 225 posts for 0.004*9=0.036 btc.

Your understanding is: post 25 in 9 weeks to get 0.004*9=0.036 btc for 9 weeks.

Komodoplatform or OP please clarify it. Thank you

It's 25 posts in 9 weeks for everyone right now. And for each week you're in the campaign, you get 0.004 BTC or whatever your rate is. But they're reconsidering the rates so it might change.
