Regarding lack of volume. After new platform is ready, we are going to start promoting EmpoEX harder.
Exchange competition is really big. We are not sure how many people have heard of us, even we have been around for almost a year now.

First, we would need some feedback from users about Empo, so we know what's not good, in order to fix it. Then we could start aggressive promoting.

It would be total misuse of crowdfunding funds if we started promoting aggressively right now.

It requires time for good things to happen

As most of you guys have noticed, we had a minor hiccup after we posted first source and wallet.

It's time to forget that and move on. Price has been above 150 satoshi on the buy side, while the sell side is at 200, as we write now.

Now, let's go to the technical stuff.

In order you get everything work on your end, you will have to do the following:

a) Please go to %APPDATA% folder, find EmpoCredits folder. Delete it.

b) Download new wallet (Wallet: https://xemp.empoex.com/EmpoCreditsQT.zip
Source: https://bitbucket.org/EmpoEX/empocredits/src - DO NOT DOWNLOAD WALLET FROM QUOTED POSTS!) Run the new wallet. Download all necessary blocks.

c) Run your wallet.

You will have to add these nodes:
(Inside of wallet .zip, you will find a conf file. Put it inside of your empocredits folder)

PS: %APPDATA%  folder can be found if you type in your windows search "%APPDATA%". Just hit enter or click on it with your mouse and it will open.

If you have coins on EmpoEX, you don't have to do anything. Even if you requested outgoing transaction(s). All your balances will remain intact.

In order we avoid more issues, please stake your coins. That was the main reason why chain got stuck. People kept their coins on exchange instead of staking, and helping chain to move.
We have 5 machines which will be staking 10.000 XEMP each. (Coins taken from purchased coins though our buy wall at 100 satoshi)

This gave us 1.6xx million coins, and there will be no need to purchase XEMP until we run out. The wall was there for more than 12 hours (even more than 12 if not mistaken).

BTC will be spent on hosting, advertisements, promotion, and future development or EmpoEX.

Bitcointalk is a great place to get users from, that's why we are focusing on it.
We will be getting ads on more crypto-related forums in the coming days.

Bitcointalk Post Incentive system



As stated in the Roadmap, this item is due to be launched on August 30th. However, we have decided to release it today for all users.

In order to qualify, you must follow the instructions on the User Incentives page to verify your BCT user account. If you have already verified your account then you do not need to do anything. Verified users are eligible to receive the promotion coins of 1 XEMP per new post created on Bitcointalk. Users who hold over 1M XEMP or have a total fee discount of 99%, will become Ultra VIPs and will receive 2 XEMP per post for their dedication and support towards us.

If you have not verified your BCT user account on your EmpoEX account yet, you are eligible for a special promotion. New users who verify their account receive the amount of coins equal to their post count. For example, if you have 2000 posts you will be credited 2000 XEMP from our promotional coins bank. If you are an Ultra VIP that is 2x your post count in XEMP.

One other thing should be mentioned: we do not promote abuse or spamming on Bitcointalk forum threads. Please post constructively and within the rules of this forum.

User fee discounts for XEMP holders



This is another feature I'm sure many of you have been looking forward to. As stated on the roadmap, this item is scheduled to be released on August 30th, however we are also releasing this today for all users who hold XEMP.

In order to qualify, you just need to hold XEMP in your account. The minimum required is 10,000 XEMP which is equivalent to 1%, and is capped at 99%.

You will receive a notification with details on how much is refunded.

Small chatbox updates





We have updated the Chatbox to provide a background tint and bolded message upon being highlighted, instead of just highlighting your name in red. We believe this will improve the chatbox experience.

Updates on wallet release
XEMP wallet and source will be posted in 3-5 hours from now. Still doing some final touches.

What we didn't want to mention and ruin the surprise is:

A post I think is long overdue from myself updating the community from a core perspective and the direction of PIGGY from a technical point of view.

The window for the swapping of coins has now closed for close to one month and requests to swap have been few and far between so I think it safe to announce PIG to PIGGY swaps are now officially CLOSED. That does leave what to do with the remaining unswapped, which is still being held across the team members. In post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=633803.msg11694570#msg11694570 a multisig wallet was suggested for holding of team funds, which I agree is the best solution over current cold storage. MultiSig works in PIGGY presently but is not user friendly in the slightest, I hope to (somewhat) address that with this short "Technical Roadmap".

This announcement will be spread over a few posts, each focusing on a particular deliverable on the roadmap, those being (in order of my priority):

1. "EasySend" implementation - The intent of "EasySend" is to eliminate the need to remember cumbersome PIGGY addresses and instead provide some type of directory to lookup names to addresses in a trustless, decentralized manner. "EasySend" name registration is operational once again on the website but is centralized and not presently integrated into the wallet. This deliverable will take a phased approach taking cues from a number of other projects, those being dnkey, keybase and current methods used for the publishing of PGP keys via DNS. My vision is to be able to setup in-wallet various name to address providers (directories) with the actual lookup being via the internet DNS system. Details of the specific phases of implementation will be in a further post.

2. MultiSig - This will also take on a phased approach. The largest hurdle in the implementation of multisig is the communication of the transaction between the parties which can legitimately sign it prior to it being submitted to the network for inclusion in a block. We have successfully tested multisig transactions using the console of the current wallet, but once again that is a cumbersome process. Initial proof-of concept will be by porting the coinb.in wallet to PIGGY making such transactions a bit more "friendly", but still not ideal. However this would be sufficient for the creation of a multisig wallet to hold team funds (after rigorous testing of course) with some added benefits of being an alternative web wallet and educationally giving a view "under the hood" for the more technically savvy. Once concept is proven porting of the co-pay and/or electrum would be the next phase of implementation. Vision being to first implement in a user-friendly web-wallet, then into the core wallet leveraging a bitcore-wallet service or electrum for inter-wallet communication of transactions awaiting signatures.

3. Colored Coins - With the porting of Coinb.in comes the ability to experiment with OP_RETURN messages on the PIGGY blockchain. Utilizing OP_RETURN a simple system of coloring coins will be (actually has been) created and tested. To keep things simple, effective and easy to convey, so called "rainbow coins" will not be supported. Once a group of coins is colored they remain that color until "bleached" by being mixed with coins not of the same color (or technically Unspent Transaction Outputs). Once again more details in a further post.

4. Hard Fork - May be needed as determined by discovery in the delivery of 1 through 3 together with bugfixes to improve the stability of the network. Ideally "easysend" name-address pairs would become encoded into the chain at this point.

Please bear in mind some of these deliverables are quite ambitious and will take time. I have tried my best to find the path of least resistance without "re-inventing the wheel". The more talent we can attract to the team the better. I would especially welcome those with an analytical mind, a passion for blockchain-tech, who wish to learn along side our team while delivering these and other projects.

If a minimum of 800,000,000 R3D are sold (800 BTC) I would be able to continue to pay syntaks and the rest of the team to work on this project full-time, rather than in between contract work and "when time allows." We want R3D to continue moving at a rapid pace, get people to start working with the core and developing new applications, and a successful CFC will allow us to do this. Should the CFC be successful we'll allocate some of those funds to continue marketing campaigns as well in order to reach a broader target audience. There are a lot of developers out there that could very much benefit from this, and the R3D community will benefit from other's development, creation, and application on the core source. Keep in mind that what isn't sold is burned. There isn't some percentage off the top that we keep unbeknownst to everyone (Bittrex would never release funds to us if we did that anyway because we didn't announce it), nor will there ever be any new R3D in circulation. What R3D is sold during the CFC is all that will ever be in circulation. We went with Bittrex for this CFC with full intention of being clear and upfront about out intentions and legitimacy. Bittrex no longer allows for anonymous CFCs, nor will they release raised BTC to us until AFTER they review the source and test the blockchain.

Oops, I forget to get some XEMP.

Trading within the cryotobank here means to be able to trade all coins on crypsy, not just only super.

But yea of course in order to trade coins in our full internal cryptsy trading the respective coins should be active and working on the cryptsy sever too.  I will contact crypsy again regarding super.

Also we are planing to include a full bittrex trading withing the crypto bank. But we need to weight feasibility and funds spending first as well as doing research.
