Anyone interested in today's match (AFG vs ENG)? After the pathetic display by Afghanistan during their last match (against South Africa), everyone will be expecting a cakewalk for the Brits. And I think the chances are that the Brits will smack Afghanistan today at Manchester. But one thing to remember here is that England has lost matches against the so called "weak" sides on multiple occasions. I am talking about their defeats against Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands.

The margin point is what everyone are gunning for. I think 330 to 340 will be an easy score from this stage. Holder is hitting, Hope is still batting - WI has good chance to win this match from here. Not very sure if Bangladesh team is capable to chase 300+ runs. Hope is close to his century (84 so far) West Indies make 321, I think it's chasable score, because ground is small and if Bangladesh opener play with mind, they can make pressure on West Indies bowlers, West Indies played with only 5 bowlers so if they target 1 weakling it will be easy to chase this match. Bangladesh played like expected, ground was small and West Indies was 1 bowler short and that help to chase this huge score even 8 overs left. Great win for Bangladesh but still 99% chances they won't be able to reach semi final. More than the win by Bangladesh, it is the extreme inconsistency shown by the West Indies that surprised me. They put up a world class performance in one match and two days later, they suffer a thrashing defeat. And for Bangladesh, their remaining matches are against strong sides such as Australia and India. Even the match against Afghanistan is going to be a tough one.
They were bowling short since first match and they did not changed their style of bowling, now other team know this and prepare themselves before their match against West Indies, so it's not surprise element anymore. Hope wasted so many balls when they were require carnage the end of the inning so that 96 runs actually loosing the match than helping West Indies. |

Why are bowlers not allowed to run on danger area? Can batsmen run on that area or nobody can?

If bowler run on danger area, they get 2 warning and if 3rd time they do again, they will not able to bowl again on inning. If batsmen run on danger area they get 1 warning and if still they run on danger area, opposite team get 5 runs as a penalty every time if same batsmen who got warned run again and again on danger area. |

Score must be 350+ but who knows, Australia is also an unpredictable like Pakistan, at least that's what I have learnt from their last match against Pakistan. Australia played very well today and will reach most probably 350+ and this score is out of reach for Sri Lanka, they don't have batting to chase down this. So we can easily say Australia will win this match with ease. In 2nd match Afghanistan playing first against South Africa, hopefully they will show intent, why they are in world cup otherwise they are playing worst cricket of their life, since I started watching them. |

Kuddos to the Pakistani bowlers who crushed the team and restricted them to 307 else 400 was the possible target. Pakistan did bowling end of the inning far better than beginning of the match, but I still think Australia are 40-50 runs more than par score of this pitch. That wasn't conservative, he started slow because of bumrah and bhuvaneswar were bowling good. Inning was looking bad because he went out after settled very well. Match will be affect by rain so much, bowling side will be huge advantage if match reduced so much, so careful. If rain come early in the match, SA won't have much chance to win match.
And the way South Africa is losing their wickets seems like this will be another difficult match for SA. The sky is cloudy so rain is going to play a major role I think. This South African unit is really looking too broken. I don't see even the shadow of the real South African team. Shame. South Africa playing worst cricket last six months, they lost test series in their home against very bad Sri Lanka team, really no hope left for South Africa, they have some good individual players but not a good team for now for international level. |
