But we don't have a date that we can publicly release yet, we're just respecting the license process which has been very thorough and professionally managed by the licensing authority so far. Will it be P2P with marketmaker without any vig? How much will be commission on winning? Cricket is 1 of the best sports for exchange, why not launch cricket too in beginning? How is Degens fooling bettors? If you go to Settings, you can change from sportsbook mode to betting exchange mode. It is P2P and you can lay your own odds. There is no vig if someone takes your bet, which means you are a market maker. You don't ever bet against Degens which can be proven here - https://degens.com/my/activityCommission is 0.5% on winnings wagers. Please show me only 1 mkt where liquidity in mkt intact means no vig. Opening exchange mode is not hard, main part is liquidity and market maker, without that exchange play more worst than sportsbook, if you can back or lay than later cant square off your bet in mkt. |

Stake does have a bit of problems with the sportsbook side but to expect them to fix it already and calling it "still not fixed" is a bit harsh because lets be honest the leagues weren't around so they didn't had too many live bets to grade properly for the past 3-4 months, which is why I think it was also a bit hard to troubleshoot the problem since they couldn't have the same problem again. Now that they have it again, I am sure they will work on it.
Plus, do not forget that they are working with a third party provider for the odds and the grading etc, so they are actually not a sportsbook, they are just a big affiliate by the logic, they may pay and get paid for all the work but the odds are given to them readily made and graded that way as well. So, the problem is with stake for sure but not all of it, the provider has some issues as well obviously.
Which crypto sports book, offer their own odds, all of them use odds provider, it's cost effective, only big book can afford their own odds. |

Yeah the virus is taking its toll on the world economy however opening up now seems to be a bad decision as the cases are growing out of control now even worse now then when it started. Australia is starting to open up just when the winter season is starting so I don't know how this will go and if there is a second wave here then we could say goodbye to the T20 world cup being played this year.
There will be at least one major event this year. Either the IPL, or the T20 World Cup. Else many of the cricket boards will go bankrupt. So my guess is that the ICC will try its best to conduct the World Cup. Even if the Australian government demand 2 weeks of mandatory quarantine, I guess the cricket boards will agree to that. As a last resort, ICC may move the tournament to some other country in case they don't get the permission from the Australian government. Well right now we would think it would be the T20 world cup with how the virus cases are low and continue to remain low in Australia compared to India where the cases are getting out of control with the daily cases rising. I was thinking that if the situation changes in Australia that maybe New Zealand could be the perfect place to host the T20 world cup as they are doing a great job at maintaining the virus cases. NZ can only be safe place for T20 world cup if only the T20 WC is played between Australia and NewZealand. Since players and people all around the world will come to NZ/Aus to play the world cup, this will make it vulnerable to pandemic. But I don't think we are going to New Zealand for twently/20 world as Australia is also doing hard work for this all and they will ready on time as now things are doing good for them and they have some good results just be positive for this all and wait for next call from officials. What call you are taking about from the cricket officials ? I think they have already postponed the T20 World cup to 2022 and there is no chance that it can be arranged before that time. No decision yet on World cup, they will take decision on next meeting. There is still chances we will have world cup. Otherwise this world cup will never happen because of tight schedule. |

Well its looking very good for the T20 world cup to go ahead as planned as the football season in Australia is going to start in June and the AFL have already said that if they need to move the grand final from the MCG because of the world cup then they will move it to another stadium. Lets now hope that Australia is able to keep the virus cases low and we get to see some cricket played on time.
I heard that T20 world cup is likely to be postponed till 2022. Although the decision is not final yet but there are high possibilities that This year’s T20 World Cup may be postponed to 2022. I know it will disappoint many of us including me, if this decision is finalized. This is very bad news! If it gets postponed they we have to wait for 24 months for the tournament to happen. Why are the postponing it for 2 years. Why not next year? I enjoy T20 format more than any other format. Nothing is clear but there is a high chance it will get postponed this year. Due to tight scheduled of the cricket events, it may not be possible for the ICC to conduct the tournament in 2021. I think they should reschedule it to next year even if they have to cancel other tournaments. T20 World cup is important tournament and it should be given preference over other cricket tournaments. There is another T20 World Cup schedule in 2021, that's why they can't host 2 World cup in 1 years. If it's postponed most probably it will not happen again. |

IPL nor any sporting events is more important than the safety and security of the players. If the government decides to give a green signal for the IPL to divert the issues that is going on, then we might see them conducting inside India and not anywhere else.
No one will debate against safety and security of the players but what if they can conduct the sporting event with all the necessary precautions. The UFC recently conducted an event and some of the sports body is trying to find ways to restart everything and if the BCCI could test every player and when they are in a public space they can wear masks and gloves and once all the players are in camp and everyone is tested then there is a possibility. Yup like, India doesn't have any other priorities than hosting IPL? Why you guys so noob, even they will try to host, no International players will be allow to enter into Indian territories and if no International players involved forget about brand value of IPL, BCCI cant take risk of loosing of Brand Value. we are loosing 100's of life daily, infecting 1000's of daily and we fool are discussing here, when to start IPL. UFC is not not a team game and it's individual sports and personal gain to those who got involved. In IPL International level players play, don't think any board will allow to give NOC to their player in this pandemic time. |

Agree with you fully, seriously how people even think about any sports, when millions of poor people going their states/villages hungry by walk who lost their jobs, and that guy is thinking about running IPL events. Today highest number of cases in India, crossed 4200, and we really don't know how many asymptomatic there, who is spreading Corona without knowingly and that guy is thinking about IPL than savings millions of lives. I salute you all for keeping this discussion thread active in times when there is no PSL/IPL or any other international cricket tournament due to coronavirus pandemic.
For many peoples in Sub-Continent cricket is life and cricket is every thing so we all need to keep this spirit up hopefully in near future we will able to talk about live games again as now Korean soccer starts and Germany is ready for soccer from next week. Cricket will also resume soon and we will see again the crowd filled thrilling matches in the stadiums. Slowly the games will be resumed with more precaution environment so that players and the spectators are safe from covid-19 while playing & watching the match. Yes, cricket will resume but with empty stadium. I do not think they will allow gathering of spectators. The Korean football league has also started but with empty stadium. This is possibly the only option left now. Nobody knows when will the vaccine will be out. In the meantime they can resume all sports activities like this. Lol it's India, and we are getting many 1000's of cases daily, you are dreaming about cricket, as early as possible may be in July or August we will have any Cricket. Even Empty stadium matches will require 100's of logistics team to run any matches, and In India more than 50 person gathering not allow. 2nd thing, No outside Flight running now, so how International player will come? |
